Answers to Frequent Problems/Questions
1) An alarm went off, I knocked everyone out (or
killed them) and I don’t see a camera or anything else. Why is the alarm going
off and ending my mission?
A: You failed body hiding 101. Remember in
training where you had to knock out a guy and hide his body? You hid him behind
some shelves in a pitch black area, out of the way of anyone patrolling. Keep
this in mind for all levels, save for the Oil Rig.
2) How do I change the rate of fire for the rifle?
A: While your rifle is equipped, click down on the
left thumbstick.
3) How come the elevator is not powered? How come
the colonel will not come down or out to use the retinal scanner?
A: You missed a mission objective in your haste to
get through the level. Check your opsat (start button) to see which mission
objective(s) you missed. Then go back and do it, problem solved.
4) How come I only have a pistol?
A: You will pick up your rifle about midway
through the CIA level (4th mission)
5) Where is my thermal vision?
A: You get this gadget on the CIA level at the
beginning (4th mission)
6) Where is this Rayman character?
A: He is in a vending machine on the CIA level,
just after you pick up your rifle. You will have to use your scope to see him.
7) How do I get into sniper mode?
A: When you have your rifle equipped, press the Y
button. Hold the left trigger to steady yourself (you hold your breath for a
few seconds)
8) How do I make Feirong use his computer? I keep
talking to him!
A: Bring him towards the computer after you’ve
heard his little diatribe. When he’s done spilling his guts, you will have two
options…keep interrogating or force him to use the computer. While holding the
A button, use your d-pad to select which action you want to do.
9) How do I throw a bottle/can? I keep dropping
them instead of throwing.
A: After you pick up a bottle/can, press the x
button. This will bring up a trajectory of your projectile. Hold the left
trigger to flatten out the arc. Right trigger throws.
Tips
-Never stand up and run unless you are certain the
area is clear. Move around while crouched, you make less noise
-Do not rush through the game, take your time and
survey the area and the guards. There are ways around what seems to be the
impossible
-Do not go crazy with the weapons. You have more
than enough ammo to finish any level without running out
-Remember that you can distract guards with many
things to get them to move out of the way so you can sneak by or get them to
come to you for a knockout. Use cans, bottles, and “stray” bullets.
-Always listen to Lambert, he will give you some
nice pointers and tips of where things are located [hint: he tells you what to
look for when you have to find the black box]
Now, the one kill walkthrough. This is just a
suggestion to make the game “tougher” to play. You can go through and kill or
knockout everyone in the game, it’s up to you, but is not necessary.

Police Precinct
Your first task is to find an agency contact. You
start out in a small courtyard area. Look to your right and you will see a
ladder. Make your way over there, jump to grab the ladder. Climb the ladder to
the roof and look for a trap door. Open the trap door and fall through.
You will go through a narrow passage.
Eventually, you’ll find yourself on another roof.
You’ll see a burning building, and yes that’s where you have to go. Look for a
zip line above you, jump up to grab it and begin your adventure.
You’ll zip into a room. Grimsdatir will tell you
what to do and where to go. Go for the door. You’ll have to hurry.
Your path is blocked by some fire, so listen for
your instructions. Follow them and find the staircase. You should have no
problem going down the 2 flights of stairs without being burned. There is
enough room to slowly make your way past any flames.
You’ll come to a large room. Look for your contact
in some debris near the middle of the room. Start the conversation and you’ll
learn some new information. When done, exit the room via the door on the right
of the room (from the point of view of entering the area).
Now you’ll be on a ledge/patio above the street.
Go straight and left, but be careful and slow so you won’t alert people on the
street. There is a break in the banister where you can jump from one side of
the street to the next. When no one is below you, jump across. Turn right and
walk straight. Turn left and you’ll be behind some lattice/ivy. You’ll overhear
a phone conversation. While crouched make your way to the end.
Now, you’ve found Blaustein’s apartment. While
crouched, drop into the plants and slowly make your way towards the apartment’s
front. Stay near the window to the right, closest to you. Wait for the other
guard in the apartment to come out. He’ll go back in and kick at the TV. Wait
for him to leave that room and go to the dining room. When he’s in the room, go
to the window. Slide the window open and go through it.
Sneak your way to banister dividing the living
room and dining room. When the guard is paused looking away from the hallway,
crouch run through the curtain. Your mission is to find the black box, it will
be behind a painting. Once through the curtain, continue straight and follow the
hall to the left. The room you are looking for is the last one on the right. If
you want, a medical kit is in the bathroom.
Once in the room, the painting on the wall will be
able to be slid open. There’s the black box. Use the computer to get the door code.
Your new mission is to find the agent’s dead drop.
Go out the door. There is a zip line you’re going
to have to use that is to the left of the door you just came out of. Climb on
the railing and jump to grab the zip line…you’re off on your adventure again.
You’ll be on another roof. Find a door and an
elevator shaft. Either jump or fall towards the wires/cables. Don’t worry,
you’ll grab them. Slide down and find the hatch to the elevator. Open the hatch
and fall through.
Go through a hallway and find the door in a well
lit area with a light and some dirt. Lambert will tell you it’s okay to go on
the street now. Go through the door. Follow the hallway until you come to an
open area with a staircase and a light. You’ll see two cops talking to some guy
in a chair. Don’t go down the stairs. Instead, jump on the ledge and drop down
to the dumpster below you in the darkness.
Now, you could knock these two cops out, but there
is a sneakier way. See the stairs straight in front of you? Slowly make your way
there. There are 2 patrolling people beyond the 2 stationary cops. When neither
patrolling guy is looking towards the drunk, jump from the stairs to the ledge
directly behind the 2 cops. Shimmy to the right and the ledge in darkness. Pull
yourself up when neither patrolling guard/civilian is there. Stay in the
shadows and make your way to the corner.
Watch the patrolling guard on the street. When
he’s furthest away from you and his back is to you, make your way up the
street. There are several dark corners you can hide in. Stay in one and when he
passes you going the other way, slowly make your way up the street.
Go left at the end of the street. You’ll have to
avoid another patrolling guard, but stay in the shadows and be patient and you
can avoid him. Eventually, you’ll enter a courtyard with a fountain. Look for
some bushes beyond the fountain on the right. There’s the dead drop. Crouch
down behind the bushes, turn on your night vision and you’ll see a path. In the
left corner is some ammo. There are 2 med kits here and a computer. Use the
computer and you get the door code for the precinct’s basement. Mission accomplished, now
you have to get to the precinct.
Go back out but stay in the bushes. Now there is a
patrolling guard in the courtyard. Eventually, he’ll open the gate that is to
your right. But be careful of the citizen above you in the window. When both
the guard and the citizen are not looking, go through the gate.
Turn left down the street but stay in the dark
because another cop is patrolling the area. Watch his pattern and sneak around
him. You’ll also have to worry about one citizen walking around. You’ll get to
a T-intersection. Go right when no one is around. But stop when you see a dark
area. If you look up, you’ll see some lattice wood work. You can climb on top
of that because there is someone waiting for you at the end of the dark
passage. If you climb on top, you can drop the hammer on the guy waiting there
for you.
Hide his body in a dark corner. You’re almost to
the precinct. Mind the citizen in the window, time your movements and move to
darkness when he isn’t looking at the street.
Make your way to the end of the street. You may
find it helpful to shoot out a few lights. Climb on the dumpster and do a
double jump to get to the wall. You’ve now entered the police grounds.
Go down the stairs, you may find it helpful to
shoot the light out nearest the door. Enter the code and watch the patrolling
guard near the cells. You can shoot out a few of the lights and wait in darkness
for the guard to return. Knock him out when he comes back. Or you can do a
split jump and wait for him to be under you. Just drop down on him. Either way,
hide his body someplace dark, preferably nearest the door you just came in.
Now you have to find the agents in the morgue. The
morgue is behind the room with large windows and a technician near some
computers. Sneak in the sliding door and behind the technician. You can
interrogate him or knock him out right away. He’ll tell you the bodies are in the
morgue. Go through that door, but be careful of the camera. You’ll see two
bodies on slabs in the middle of the room. Watch the camera. When it’s pointing
to the left and away from the bodies, go to the wall under the camera. Time
your movements again and go in between the 2 bodies. Lambert will cut in.
Your new mission is to find the surveillance tapes
on the top floor. Avoid the camera again. Make your way out of this room and
the adjacent room. Go left through the doors and up the stairs. You’ll come to
an area with a cop in a room and a citizen wanting to file some report or
complaint. You can listen to it, it’s quite funny. Make your way in the
darkness around the edge of the room. Go all the way around and you’ll get an
automatic sliding door. Go through and up the stairs.
You’ll see two people working at computers. Stay
on the edge of the room in the darkness and stay crouched. Slowly make your way
behind the guards. If you’re slow enough, you can avoid these two guys. Or you
can sneak up to each of them and grab them and knock them out.
Either way, the room you want to go into is in the
right corner of the room (from the vantage point of you just entering the
area). There is one more guy in here. Slowly make your way through the curtain
and sneak up behind the guard. Knock him out and hide his body in a dark
corner. Go use the computers. Lambert will cut in and tell you mission
accomplished. Now you have to get out.
Go back quietly down the stairs to the room with
the civilian and police guard. Sneak your way around the ledge and open the big
double doors. You’ll hear some screeching and a van will pull up. Go towards
the van…mission accomplished.
Defense Ministry
You start this mission out on the roof. Listen to
Lambert. He’ll tell you there is a laser grid on the courtyard, so you can’t
touch the ground.
There are two ways into the building you are on
top of. The first is to rappel down the side. Find the little smoke stack on
the left side if you are facing the courtyard. Rappel down and through the open
window. The second way requires you to drop down to a balcony, climb to a pipe
and jump from the pipe to another balcony with a door.
If you enter via the window, stay in the shadow near the wall and upper right
corner. Wait for the guard to enter and
go down the first row of bookshelves.
Crouch run to the door and open it, avoiding the camera. You avoid knocking out the guard this
way. If you
went through the door, wait for him to sit at a desk, sneak up and grab him.
Take him behind the bookcases and knock him out.
Once out the door, you’ll be in a hallway with a
patrolling guard and a guy just standing there. Wait until the guard is
furthest from you and make your way into the darkness. You could try and knock
him out, but it’s safer to watch his pattern and go for the door on the left
side before the standing guard. Go through the door. If you go up the stairs,
you’ll find a medpack. If you climb up onto the beams above you, you’ll
eventually get to an area with a medpack and disposable pick.
Now go down the stairs. You’ll have a few cameras
to deal with. You can shoot them or shoot the light that is nearest them to
create some darkness. Either way, you’ll come to a door you can go through.
Careful, there is a camera there. You can shoot it or time your movements and
go the left and into the darkness. This will cue a guard to come investigate a
shot camera, whether or not you shoot it! Ignore this guard for now.
Make your way to the lower level. You’ll see a car
with its lights on and a guy, the driver you have to find. I find it easier to
shoot out the camera nearest the car. Once done, the driver may investigate the
camera. You can also ignore the camera and sneak up behind the driver. Wait
till he takes a piss or starts smoking. Sneak up behind him and interrogate
him. Listen to him and then knock him out and hide his body. Go back to the stairs you came down, but hug
the wall and pick up a bottle. On your
right, before the guard is an open elevator shaft. Go in, throw the bottle to distract the
guard.
Now you have to disable the grid. You’ll have to
make your way to the next building. Go back up the stairs. You have the
standing guard to deal with now. Go
across from the door and near the plant.
Take out your pistol and shoot the ceiling near the door you
exited. The guard will investigate and
go through the door.
Now go through the door at the end of the hall on
the right. There’s a camera here as well. Shoot it or time your movement to get
to the light switch and turn off the lights. Either way, use the computers to
pick up some data sticks. Now out the door. You’ll get a cutscene where a
cook/chef will open up a window. Get the hint? Now you have to make your way
there. Climb up on the banister/barrier of the balcony and jump up to grab the
drainage pipe and shimmy your way to the window. Silently drop into the window
and stay to the right. Grab a bottle and stay behind the freezer/fridge on the
right side. A guard will come in and spit in the food. Follow him out the door
while crouched, the chefs won’t see you. Now you have to dispose of the guard.
Wait near the door so you are facing the hall. Press x and aim the bottle at
his head when he pauses in the doorway. Get his body and hide it behind the
counter. You may have alerted the guard below you (on the next level down). If
so, just wait for him to go back to his spot.
Now, there are two ways you can get rid of that
guard. You could climb up on the railing and drop down on him. Or you can go
down the stairs and sneak up behind him. Either way, hide his body in a dark
corner.
Now you will be on the level with two stairways.
You’ll see a guard with his back to the stairs in the distance. You can ignore
him. Your immediate concern is with the guard sort of beneath the stairs. Climb
up on the railing above him and drop down on him. The other guard shouldn’t
notice. Hide his body under the stairs. Go use the computer. You have just
deactivated the grid. Lambert will tell you there is a colonel headed your way.
Wait for him in the darkness. When he sits down at that computer you just used,
go grab him and take him to the retinal scanner. Force him to use it, when
you’re done, knock him out and hide him under the stairs.
Now go through the door, but be careful. There is
a camera here too. You can shoot it or when the camera is all the way to the
left, run for the door. Now you have to equip your laser mic and mic the glass
elevator. Easy enough, just make sure the square is red and you’ll be fine. An
alternative is to run as close as you can to the lattice so you can still see
the elevator. When you’re done, switch to your gun. Shoot out the floodlight on
the door to the right of the courtyard. You’ve just created a dark path. Watch
the 3 guards and sneak your way towards the glass elevator building. You’ll see
a lattice you can climb on. Climb to the top and go left through the open
window.
Now a tricky part, you’ll get a cutscene with the
elevator in motion. Uh oh! You could hide in the room next to the elevator, use
the disposable pick. Or you could put your back to the wall behind the glass
across from the elevator, shoot the light on the wall if you want to. If you
hid in the room, use your optic cable to watch the pattern. When the patrolling
guard walks away from your door, open it and go the elevator, push the button
to open and get in. If you hid, you’ll have to be fast. When the guard that
goes left passes you make a break for the elevator, be quick though.
Use the elevator and go up. You’ll be on the top
floor. But there is a camera you have to look out for and a patrolling guard.
There is a door you can open near the elevator. Look at the desk and look up,
there’s an open vent. You want to climb up there and go the right, you’ll find
an open vent. Drop down, but be careful of the camera. You can shoot it or
shoot out a light or two. Look for a closet near where you dropped in. In there
is a ladder and some ammo. But you won’t need the ammo if you’ve followed this
guide.
Climb up the ladder to the roof. Look for another
smokestack to rappel down. There’s the computer you have to tap. But there is a
guard. If you position yourself right above the window, you can shoot the
window to get the guard’s attention. When he’s done looking for you or at the
window, get in the window and knock him out with an elbow. You can try and hide
his body or toss it out the window. To toss him, put your back to the window
you broke while carrying him, equip your weapon (press x) and you’ll toss him.
Use the computer and you’ll hear that the guards are about to breach the room
you’re in. Go back to the window and drop down quickly. You’ll hang there, wait
for the 3 guys to leave, climb back up and use the computer. Lambert will tell
you to get the h*ll out of dodge. Go through the door and go left. There’s an
open door now. Go through it and down a short flight of stairs. Keep going
straight, you’re looking for an open elevator shaft. Jump towards the cables
and slide down, all the way down. Drop down, you’re back in the garage. Run
towards Wilkes, mission over.
Oil Rig
You start out on a pipeline; you have to get to
the oil rig. Find the ladder, climb up to the top. Walk onto the pipe, jump up
and grab a pipe above you. You’ll have to bring your legs up to get past the
barbed wire. Eventually, you’ll find your path is blocked by a huge crate type
thing.
Drop off the ledge on the right and shimmy around
it. Continue walking, you’ll see a little platform on the right. Above this is
a zip line. Use the zip line to get to the next area. You’ll see an explosion
in front of you. Once on the platform, go under the pipe to the other side.
Find a pipe going up and climb to the top of the pipe. There is a hole in the
pipeline now. Drop in and crouch, move forward.
Eventually, you’ll reach a less confining area
with a ladder. Climb the ladder and open the trap door. Climb out and you’ll
get a cutscene showing the technician you have to trail and 3 or 4 guards.
There are 2 ladders in your vicinity. Use the left most one, the one if you look
up you can see some blue sparks. Climb up slowly so you aren’t noticed. At the
top, you’ll see a tool box (a large one). Climb on top of that and then jump
up, you’ll grab a pipe. Pull your legs up and make your way across until you
are above the lone patrolling guard. When he is below you, drop down and knock
him out. Leave his body for now because you have to follow the technician and
his escorts.
Climb the stairs, but be sure to stay just a bit
behind the people you’re following. One guard will stay behind and guard your
approach. I took a few shots but was able to surprise him and knock him out.
Yyou’ll be in an area with a water tank. Around
the corner is your party. Now 2 guards are guarding this kitchen. You have to
distract them or knock them out. Turn on the water tank. Go behind the tank and
work yourself around the edge, wait until you can see one guard with the camera
positioning. Crouch run around the
obstacles. Don’t go in the door on your
left. Follow the path and go to the
right and then left through the flames for a checkpoint.
Climb on top of the thing to your right and jump
up to the pipe. You’ll get a cutscene of the guard shooting up the computers.
Make your way to that room, drop down silently. Sneak up behind him, grab him
and knock him out. 2 medkits are on the shelves.
Now, go out the door and up the steps. You’ll get
a cutscene of a missile hitting a helicopter. Once that’s done, just run
straight ahead between the two buildings, you’ll avoid 1 or 2 guards this way.
Turn right towards the stairs, but don’t go down yet. Go to the opposite side,
jump up on the railing and do a silent drop down to the platform. The guard
below you will be patrolling frantically below and should not see you come
down. You can sneak up behind him when he pauses and elbow him in the head.
See the door to the room? Open it and go right.
You’ll get a save point. Then an explosion, if you’re near the door, you won’t
get hurt. You can lock pick the door. Go right and right. You’ll see the
technician run down the flight of stairs, go after him.
You’ll find him cowering where his boat used to
be. What happened to it? Grab the guy and interrogate him, when you’re done
knock him out. But don’t pick up the briefcase just yet, that will end the
mission and you have a little fun left. Pick up his body, back yourself to the
edge of the water. Equip your weapon (press x) and make him do a belly flop.
But wait, there’s more! Remember the first guy you knocked out? Go get him and
do the same. You can do this to everyone you knocked out. When you’re done
making them sleep with the fishes, pick up the briefcase. Mission
over and not one bullet fired!
CIA Headquarters
This mission is easy to go through without killing
anyone, because you can’t!
When the mission starts, you’ll be outside the old
headquarters building of CIA. There are 2 ways into the building. The first
option is tricky since you have a set amount of time to get in. If you choose
this way, get moving. Go across the well lit area to your left. Turn right once
you are on the lawn and move towards the building. On the left you’ll see a
fenced off area. In the front left corner is a place you can climb over the
fence. For some strange reason, the barbed wire is conveniently missing in this
area…lucky for you! Hey this is the Central Intelligence Agency, not the
Central Common Sense Agency! Climb over. Now climb up on that big hulking thing
in the middle. Jump from the top of that to the ledge that’s in between the two
window-like grates. From there, drop down to the one on the left. While
crouched, open up the grate. Move through the fan and look for the opening on
the right. Now you will see a patrolling technician. Wait for him to leave the
area, climb over the fence. You can wait for him or avoid him, it’s up to you.
If you knock him out, remember to hide the body in a dark out of the way
corner. Once done, move through the hallways and be careful around the corner
at the end of the hall is a camera. Time your movements and get by it, since
you can’t shoot anything because you don’t have a gun. Slowly work your way
under the stairs. Wait there until you see the guard patrolling above you look
at the stairs and then walk away. Now, go up the first flight of stairs, but
wait in the darkness on the platform. Watch the guard’s pattern. You want to
time your movement so that when he is paused looking out the window, you sneak
up to the top platform where he is walking. Put your back to the wall while
crouched and wait for him to pause at the window again. Then sneak up behind
him and grab him. Knock him out and hide his body under the stairs. If you
alert him, his buddy downstairs will come running with his gun out. Bad times. [An
alternative: go underneath the stairs and jump to attract the guard. Hide in the dark. He’ll come down and investigate. Make your way towards the stairs, but don’t
go up yet. Position the camera so you
can see the guard, he’ll go on patrol down the hallway, when he does, go up the
stairs and down the other side).
Go down the opposite stairs. See that guy go in
that door? You want to follow him, but wait until the door closes. After that,
open the door, you’re in a conference room of sorts with a sticky shocker,
airfoil ring, and a med kit. Use your optic cable on the door to make sure a
guard isn’t looking out towards your direction, when he’s not, go out the door
in front of you now. Go straight and turn right and go through the metal
detector. Turn right and you’ll get a save point and overhear someone on a
phone. Wait for this guard to go use the elevator and then go into the large
room and stay to the right. Sneak up to the guard near the elevator and pick up
the can on the bench next to him. Throw the can as far as you can, this will
alert the guard. Do not panic! Wait for the guard to leave and walk away from
you and make sure his back is turned when you head for the elevator.
2) The second way in the building is much easier.
There is a pipe slightly to the left of the van on the wall near the entrance.
Sneak up to it and climb up. Jump to the roof and go to the right, there is an
open vent…how convenient! Crawl through and find the trap door. Open the door
and drop down, you’ve just entered the CIA. Go to the right and silently drop
off the ledge. There is one patrolling guard here, so stay to the edge of the
wall on the right. You’ll come to a door, you’ll have to use your lock pick or
a disposable pick. Careful, there is a camera on the other side. When the
camera is to the right, make your move and go left down the hall. There is one
technician staring at the wall. You can sneak up and knock him out or leave
him. Either way, go through the door on the left and you’ll get the sticky
shocker, airfoil ring, and a med kit. Out the other door and turn right. Use
your optic cable on the door to see the guard in the opposite room. When he’s
not looking in your direction, open the door and go straight and then right
through the metal detector. You’ll get a save point here. Follow the directions
as above now.
Once you get in the elevator, push the down
button. Walk out and you get another save point. Keep walking around the
corner. Lambert will tell you that you can pick up your rifle. You’ll come
close to a door and a worker will walk from one side of the hall to the other
in front of you. Ignore him and continue on. You’ll see one patrolling guard in
the hall. One other guard will come talk to a guy in a window. Stay in the
corner closest to that window in the darkness and wait for the patrolling guard
to pass you. The talking guy will walk down the hall away from you. Stay
crouched and sneak by the window. Keep going and go past the soda machines.
There will be one guard walking from the closet to the keypad door in front of
you and another in a room with the lights on, when the guard in the room has
his back to you and the other guard is near or in the closet, go for the closet
and knock out that guard. Hide him in the closet with the lights off and pick
up a disposable pick. Now you have to get that door code. The guy who has it is
in the brightly lit room. Time your movements so you sneak in that room when
the patrolling guard is not in the hallway and the guy you want to grab has his
back to you. Grab him and knock him out, hide his body in the closet too. The
data stick he drops has the code you need. Turn out the lights.
Go to the keypad and enter the code, but equip
your optic cable to make sure no one is looking at the door when you open it.
If the patrolling guard returns, he may notice that the lights are now off. If
that’s the case, go back to the closet area and hide behind the open door. When
that guard comes by, pop in the head with your specially designed NSA action
elbow. Hide his body in the closet too. Remember the guard in the first window?
Well you can sneak up on him too! Just go around the other direction and sneak
through the automatic door. Sneak up on him and knock the sucker out! He
conveniently has the code to the server room on him. Lucky you! Hide his body
in the door that is locked. In there, you’ll find 2 sticky shockers and a med
kit. Now go back to the keypad and continue your mission.
You could sneak around the 2 guys here or you
could knock them both out. If you knock them out, hide them in the left corner
behind the file cabinets. When done, move to the next room, switch the light
off here if you sneaked by them. Use the computer and you now have the code to
the next door. You’ll get a save point and a body check script here. If you
didn’t hide the bodies well enough, an alarm will go off. If that’s the case,
just load that save again and go back and hide the bodies again. There are 2
people in this battery room. You can use the split jump twice here if you want.
Knock them out, turn out the lights and hide the bodies. Go through the next
little hall and up the stairs. You’ll find your rifle, 2 sticky shockers, and
an airfoil ring. You now have to get to the main server.
When you come out of that room, follow the hall
and you’ll encounter some guy talking on the phone. You can sneak up to him and
knock him out or just hide and wait for him to go on patrol. Remember, if you
knock him out, you have to hide him. Either way, continue around the corner. On
your right will be a media room of sorts with a large map and some offices and
one patrolling guard just inside there. There is also one patrolling the hall.
You can time your movements so as to avoid both of these guys and anyone in
those offices. Your goal is to get to the greenish door on the left without
being caught. You may alert someone, but if you are fast, you’ll get through
the double set of doors and to the keypads. The door on the right is the easier
route. Plug in the code and enter the room. My favorite technique for taking
out the guard in this room is to wait for him and drop down on him using my NSA
designed hammer drop. Wait for him by going straight to the end and climb on
the railing on the right. Drop down, hide his body. Now you have to enter the
server room, one technician has his back to you. Easy enough, now hide his
body. Now tap the computer to find the mole. You’ll get the next door code
here.
Get out of the server room. Again, there are 2
ways out. Go back the way you came or climb up onto those mainframes and double
jump to the railing. Stay outside the green doors and watch the guard
patrolling. When he’s walking, hurry out and go left. Stay in the darkness. You
may alert him, but stay in the dark. And remember to hide from the other
patrolling guard. If you want, there is a med kit in the ladies room. Continue
down the hall and you’ll get a save point. Sneak up to the window on your left,
but don’t pop up in front of it. Under no circumstances are you to go through
the metal detectors unless you want to set off the alarm. Just jump up near the
window, this will alert the guard. When he leaves, hop in the window and follow
him. You could knock him out if you want with a sticky shocker, but you don’t
need to. Go out into the big room. There are two armored cameras here. Shoot
out a row of lights leading from the door you came out to the hallway, but
don’t miss. If you miss, a worker will come out and investigate and you still
have to worry about the guard you distracted. There is also another guard that
will come down the stairs in that room, so be careful. Once you have created a
dark path, make your way to the hallway. But do not enter the hallway until the
camera closest to it is pointed away from the hall.
Once in the hall, stay on the left and in the
dark. There is a worker who will periodically check the hall. When his back is
turned, make a break for it. Go down the stairs on the left, but slowly. Make
sure you can see the light near the camera. Take out your rifle and blast the
light. Use the keypad and open the door, you’ll get a save point.
Carefully go through the door because the camera
can see you if you are in the light. If you shoot the light, you’ll alert the
guard on the phone. Sneak up and allow the door to close when the camera isn’t
pointed towards the door. You’ll hear the conversation and when he’s done,
he’ll go get a soda. But you have other plans, you want to use your elbow on
his head. Hide his body in his office, in the corner behind the file cabinet,
turn off the lights.
Go through the next door and you’ll see the
turret. If you use the computer, you’ll get a data stick explaining how the
whole turret thing works. Grab a few flares and have some fun! Toss them and
watch the turret go nuts. If you want, test out its friendly fire mode, just
stand in front of it! When you’re done, go use the elevator (go up).
Once out proceed to the right and through the
door. Stay in the darkness and work your way behind the desk on the edge of the
room. You can listen in on Nikoladze’s speech. There’s one more worker to
avoid, time your movement at the end so that he’s not facing the doorway you
have to go out.
You now find yourself in an office area.
Dougherty’s room is 508. Wait for him to leave and then go in his office and
use the computer. Once done, turn right and proceed down the hall. There is a
door on the left that you can go in to avoid the guard in the chair and camera.
Work your way to the middle of the room and an aisle you can sit in. Stay there
and wait for the meeting to break up. When it does, there’s a door on the right
side of the room, use your night vision to see it. Slowly sneak up to it and
use your lock pick. You’ll pop out near the break room. You should see
Dougherty making his way to a door at the end of the hall. If you’re quick, you
can follow him out. If not, the key code you need is in a room on the right, it
might contain 1 or 2 guards. Knock them out if you have to and turn off the
lights.
Go through the keypad door and turn left. You can
enter the UFO room, use your lock pick and then use the computer. You’ll get an
encrypted message to a ‘FM’ at the FBI, there will be a number in there, that’s
the code to the door. You can pick up 3 sticky cameras and 2 sticky shockers
(you can only carry 5 though).
Now, go back out and go to the end of the hall.
You’ll see Dougherty, but wait and use your night vision. There is one
patrolling guard outside. When he’s away, open the door and knock out
Dougherty. Shoot out the lights quickly, just to make it easier. Now, pick up
Dougherty and go to the sliding door just opposite the door you came in. You
can sneak around this guard with Dougherty on your back. Follow him to the
left, but instead of going right, stay on the left edge in the darkness close
to the corner of the building. When the guard patrols towards the smoke break
area, make your break for it and go to walkway. Make your way down, you may
have to pause for the guard to go away. When he does, make a left at the
junction and go towards the stairs and drop Dougherty off down here before the
door.
Make your way down the stairs. There is one
janitor and one patrolling guard. Stay in the corner near the doorway and watch
the pattern. When the janitor moves away from you, sneak up to the pillar and
wait for him to return. Make sure the guard isn’t near you when you grab him.
Take him to the room you came from and knock him out, hide his body under the
stairs. Now for the guard, go back to the pillar and climb up onto the thing on
the right (maybe it’s some type of generator or fan). Wait on top while
crouched for the guard to come near you. When he’s near, drop down and knock
him out. Hide his body under the stairs.
Now you have a tricky part. There is a patrolling
guard below you. Go to the door and wait until his footsteps are loudest, that
means he is not looking up at the staircase. Go out and stay at the top in the
darkness. Equip a sticky shocker and wait for him to walk into your sites. Go
down and hide his body in a corner.
Now, work your way down the ramp, turn your night
vision on. In the corner above the van you have to get to is a ladder. Sneak
down the ladder and sneak up to the guard talking to your buddies. You can
listen to them talk about interrogation techniques and then you can knock him
out. Hide his body someplace dark. Now go back and get Dougherty. When you
reach the ladder, turn around and equip your weapon. You’ll drop him to the
ground below. You may be a little off and he’ll hit the tin roof and bounce
down to the ground or land on the roof. Pick up his body and take it to the
truck and set it down, mission over.
Kalinatek
This is going to be tough. You start out in the
garage. Move forward to the SUV on the right.
Wait for the 2 guys to come out.
One will go near the van. Sneak
up and grab him. Drag him to the front
of the SUV and knock him out. Hide behind
the SUV. The other guy will be coming
towards his comrade. When he gets scared
because his buddy was knocked out, run for the door they came in and go up the
stairs. Technically, you knock out one
guy, but he is revived.
There are 3 guards here. One guard will stand in
between a car and a van. Sneak up to the guy in between the cars, grab him and
drag him towards the stairs. Knock him
out. Now, go back in between the
vehicles and pick up a bottle. Toss it
somewhere to distract the other two. When
they move to investigate, go behind the van and towards the crates and out the
window, You just have to quickly jump to the hanging crate and then jump up to
grab the wire and start moving. Stop when you are above the glass walkway. Drop down and remember to hit ‘b’ before you
hit the glass or you will hurt yourself.
Follow the glass walkway to the right.
You have to shoot the glass to drop down. A guard will come out. You
must knock him to get the keypad code. Doesn’t matter how you do it. But I went
in the glass sliding doors and shot out the light. The guard came to
investigate but he was too slow to notice my elbow to his head. Too bad for
him, hide his body.
Use the keypad code and pick up some ammo if you
want. Make your way to the door in that room. See the pipe? Go jump up and
shimmy your way across the room to avoid making any noise (there is broken
glass here). Drop down and then jump up into the open vent. Go through the vent
and you’ll come to a room with a fish tank.
For fun, shoot the fish tank and watch the water
pour out, poor little fishes. When you’re done, go towards the door and turn
off the lights. You’ll get a cut scene of 3 guys, 1 will set a wall mine. One
guard will notice the lights have been turned off. I went back to the vent and
climbed up. Equip your sticky cameras and wait for the guy to get right near
you and pop him in the head with your reusable weapon. You must get used to
this for this level.
The remaining two guards now stand by the elevator
you need to get to. In the narrow room next to the hall, you’ll find a med kit.
Now, turn off the lights in the main hall. One guard will investigate. Shoot
him in the head with a camera when he’s close enough. Now for the last guard, I
did notice a fire extinguisher in the hall. You may try hiding in the room next
to this and somehow get his attention by shooting out a light in that room.
When he’s close shoot the extinguisher. Knock him out if necessary. Otherwise,
use your camera or sneak up behind him when he’s investigating.
Go through the elevator, you’ll get a save point
here. Drop down and Lambert will cut in. Listen while moving. You can avoid the
2 guys shooting the room by just running around the corner and down the hall.
Keep going straight until you are in a dark corner. 2 more goons will show up
and walk past you towards a room. This is where you need to go now. Get their
attention and when one is close enough, shoot him with the camera. Retrieve
your camera and wait for the other guy to go back to standing in a door with
his back to the door. Be careful, he does periodically check behind him. Slowly
sneak up behind him and grab him. Knock him out. Now go rescue the 2 civilians
trapped by wall mines. You will have to disable both, press the a button when
the light is green. After this, you’ll get a save point and then you’ll ask
them for the encryption key. They’ll tell you about some bomb and now you have
to go save the world again!
Go out the door you came in and turn left and go
down the hall. Go slowly; there is a wall mine here. Keep going straight and
you’ll reach a keypad, the cowering dorks gave you the code to the door. Walk
through the door and continue straight. There is lots of fire here and wall
mines a plenty. You could just run through and set off the wall mines, but you
will have plenty of time to slowly go by them. You’ll have to work your way
through a maze of rooms, eventually you’ll see a door and it’s locked. You will
have to lock pick your way through it. Once through, turn left. You can roll through
the fire, but it’s just easier to climb on top of the file cabinet between the
fire and go to the other side. There’s the bomb. Disable it.
Go back out the previously locked door and turn
left. Here is the auditorium. There are 2 guards here, both with their backs
conveniently turned. It is possible to sneak by both of them, but you will make
the return trip much more difficult since instead of having a maximum of 3 guys
you will have 5 waiting for you. Go to the left behind the glassed off area and
slowly down the steps. Climb the railing and softly land. Go to the front of
the room on the left, you’ll see some stairs going down here. You can shoot out
a few of the lights here, just to make it a little safer. If you go down the
stairs, you’ll get a cut scene of 3 guys. 2 will come running up to where you
are. Double jump to the ledge above the stairs, when both are by you, drop down
and quietly work your way around the room. One guard remains, you can knock him
out from a distance any way you like. Once done, pick up the supplies and
return power to the fire doors (?) by flipping a switch. One guard may return
and repeatedly say what the h*ll. Before he does, knock out a few lights here
to make it dark. When he comes and walks by you, sneak up behind him and knock
him out. If they don’t come down to investigate, 2 will be in the lower part of
the auditorium. Shoot a light to attract the first one and wait on the ledge
above the stairs. Drop down when he comes under you. Repeat for the other
guard. There is one guard left up at the top. Sneak up to one side and then
sneak up to him, you must knock him out since he has the code to the keypad. Go
through the door.
Slowly make your way up the stairs staying on the
edge of the path. You will probably alert one of the 2 guards, stay in a dark
corner and sticky cam his head when he comes near you. Now, slowly sneak past
the last guard. You can go in the last door on your left before the curve if
you want and talk to the nearly dead guy. Continue on and you will find the
infirmary, pick up 2 med kits. One patrolling guard left here. Sneak up behind
him on his return path and knock him out. See that room that is surrounded by
green tinted glass? There is one guy in there, sneak up behind him and knock
him out and use the computer he was using to open the fire doors.
Go through the now open fire doors and up the
stairs. This part will get tricky. There are 2 guards here, 1 will leave to go
take a piss. The other will go use the soda machine. It may be possible to
sneak by the soda guy and go to the bathroom, but every time I tried, I was
spotted. I hid in the stairs until they went back to normal. When they do, one
will have his back to the door you are coming out of and one will be facing the
vending machines. Sneak up to the one with his back to you and grab him and
knock him out. Go through the door to the bathroom. See the open vent? Go
through that. You will overhear Ivan and a Russian. Equip your sticky cam and
make him smile for your camera. Go talk to Ivan and get his key. When you’re
done, talk to him again and he’ll tell you to go away because he is hiding. You
now have to get to the extraction point.
Go out the door and turn right and head for the
elevator. Use the elevator and go up to the top floor. Your objective is to get
by the 3 guys in front and to the left of you. Shoot out a few lights to create
a path of darkness. It may alert the 3, just hide in the elevator until they go
back. Now, slowly work your way to the left. Climb up on some construction
material and onto the ledge above; make your way to a platform on the right,
next to the group of 3. Drop down the other side. You will cue 2 more guards,
stay in the darkness. There is a med kit next to your drop down area and one
next to the door you have to go through, as well as some ammo.
From
a distance, use your scope and take out the light where the 2 guards are
standing guard. Sneak in after you do
this, careful to stay on the other side of the junk pile the 2 are at. One guard will go out of the room. When he does this, jump up and distract the
other one. When he goes on patrol, head
to the door with the lighted area.
Now a really tough part is coming up. No matter
what you do, 3 guards will start shooting at you. Move up through the door and
stay crouched. Make sure you have a
sticky shocker equipped. Aim for one of
the guys near the entryway. When you hit
him, run for the area they came out of.
Follow the path to the end. You
just avoided 2 guards.
Go to the next area with a stair case and some
lights. Shoot the lights out before you head through the threshold (every light
you can see with your scope). No matter what you do, right when you breach the
door at the top of the stairs, 3 guards will go on alert and start shooting. This
is going to be tough. But run straight, jump over the material and head for a
pillar in front of you. 2 guards will be to the left, stay behind the pillar
and sticky camera (or shock) the closest one. If you are a good shot, sticky
camera the one behind him, otherwise use a shocker or airfoil round. Turn
around and notice the pile of construction junk near a window. Climb and jump in the window. The 3rd guy will be looking for
you. Destroy any lights in here. Make
sure you have your night vision on. When
he comes in the room, run around the pillar and to the left, following the
path.
Follow
the hall and go left at the doorway, you’ll get a save point. You will find
some ammo in this room. Look ahead and you’ll see 3 guards standing. Sneak
through the doorway and head right to the first doorway. Shoot out a light here
and one guard will investigate. Shoot
out the other light. One guard is now
distracted, make your way to the adjoining room. Shoot out a light and you have now distracted
a second guard. Wait for him to head to
the room you left. One guard is
outside. Equip a ring foil round and hit
him in the chest. Run by him, go
straight and when you hit the wall, turn left through the doorway.
Shoot out a few lights to make it easy. This should
attract the one guard. Sneak by him and advance to the next area. On your
right, there is some ammo and a med kit. You’ll also get a save point. 3 more
guards are in the next area. Shoot out
the flood light and small light, this will attract one. Hide near the door on some junk and sticky
cam him. Go through the doorway he came
in, before going up the stairs, shoot out a light to distract the second
guard. Go upstairs. Be patient.
Go on the walkway (straight) until you reach the end. Climb up and drop down on the third guy. Then just run around the corner until you get
a cut scene of Wilkes getting killed rather easily.
It helps to shoot out all the lights you can here
and then sneak up the ladder at the far end.
Carefully avoid the guy on the lower part by sneaking up towards him and
up the ladder. Before going all the way
up, notice that they stop to reload every once in a while and when they stop,
go up and jump towards the osprey…mission complete. Phew!
Chinese Embassy I
Let’s make this more challenging for this level:
no knockouts! When you start out, turn around and go down the alley to your
right. You should see a dumpster, climb on top of it and then jump to the wall.
It is quite helpful to shoot out all the lights you can here. A few things may
happen. There are 2 guards here, one near the front of the alley you have to
get out of. Sometimes, this guard will go to the right and stand with the other
guard. That’s easy to sneak around. Otherwise, that guard will stay there
facing your direction. Pick up a bottle and throw it as far as you can. He will
come your way, stay to the side of the alley and sneak by him and go left
behind what looks like a cart or stand. Now you have to worry about the other
guy, who may be patrolling. If he is patrolling time your movements so that you
move towards the fire on the left. Once there, turn your night vision on and
look for the ladder. Climb up and you get a save point.
Now in this section, you could go on the street.
But why bother when you can sneak around above them? Make your way up in the
shadows, next to you will be some scaffolding. That’s where you want to go,
just watch the 2 patrolling guards nearest you. When they aren’t looking or
near you, just walk onto the scaffolding. Find the ladder and climb up. Towards
the end you will see a line or wire that stretches across the street. Pretty
convenient. Make your way across the street and drop down on the other side.
Shoot the light if you want. Make your way around the edge of the building and
get to the ladder. When the 2 patrolling guards aren’t near you, climb down the
ladder and hide behind a dumpster. Again, when those 2 aren’t there, hop up
onto the dumpster then jump onto the drainage pipe, climb up. Make your way
along the building and time your next drop so that the guard patrolling won’t
hear you.
Stay on the shingle roof and go straight and
follow it to the right. Drop down behind some dumpsters. Wait for the next 2
guards to take up their patrols. Your goal is to make it to the sewers which
are in front of you behind an iron fence. Notice that the 2 street lights don’t
intersect and leave you a path to take. Time your movements and make a break
for the fence. Stay in the shadows, you should see the open man hole cover for
the sewer with a ladder down. Time it and move to the ladder and down, you now
get a save point.
Once down, follow the sewer straight and then make
a left at the first intersection. You will see 3 guards in front of you. When
they leave, quietly make your way up and then go right at the intersection.
Shoot out any lights just to be safe. Keep going straight and go through a
metal door. Go straight, the sewer will curve and there will be a flood light.
Shoot out the light and continue. You may run into a guard with a flashlight on
his head. Be careful. Keep going straight and you will see a ladder, that’s the
exit. Jump up to grab it.
There are 2 guards above you: one patrolling guard
and one standing guard with his back to you at this exit. When the patrolling
guard leaves, slowly climb up and turn left and go towards the scaffolding with
the ladder. Climb up the ladder. Go to the right and jump up and grab a pipe to
make your way across carefully. Drop down on the other side, see the open
window? That’s where you have to go. Once in the window, look for a pipe in the
corner of the room, climb up. You will find your contact here.
After you talk to your contact, pick up the med
kit and some ammo. The rappel location you need is in the right corner, up the
little ramp. Rappel down. You get a save point again. From here, shoot out the
light. Wait for the patrolling guard and follow him. When he leaves the area he
led you to, shoot out the little light across from your position and make your
way to that light. Climb up the ladder onto the scaffolding then jump to the
next ladder. Grab the next platform and go through the building.
There is now one patrolling guard waiting for you.
But you’re an NSA agent, no problem. When his back is to you, sneak out and
shoot the light. This will distract him. When he leaves that balcony, climb up
on the junk on the balcony and jump up to grab the zip line. Off you go across
the street!
Drop down to the street and carefully remove any
lights you can. This is going to be tough without knocking anyone out. You have
to move through the alley that is on the left (not the brightly lit street).
There is one patrolling guard with a flash light on his head. So you have to
remove other lights and be careful of him. I removed the floodlight on the left
and when he investigated and stared at that, I moved up the ladder. Make your
way around this elevated walk path to the next ladder. Slide down the ladder to
the street and continue. Veer right at the corner and stay behind the van.
There are two patrolling guards here. You will see your diversion truck pull up
to the embassy. Time your movements and stay in the dark. Stay to the left on
the wall and sneak around the truck to the right.
Stay in the darkness and make your way up to the
first trailer. When the nearest patrolling guard has his back turned, make for
the second trailer. Stay under this and watch the pattern of the next patrol.
Bad news because there is also a dog that can smell your hamburger eating
American scent. You can shoot the dog in the head, but be careful of the guard.
If you do shoot the dog, shoot it when the guard is not looking at you or in
your general direction.
Either way, make your way along the right side in
the dark to the pond area. Go up the embankment and stay behind the bushes on
the grass. Feirong will use his phone, take out your laser mic and record the
conversation. He will then get in a limo, stay in the same place and when the
limo is stopped at the guard station, record the conversation.
Now to get out of here! Work your way towards the
embassy, you will see some red lights. Stay in the shadows and watch the
patterns. When the two patrolling guards have their backs to you, run across
the front of the embassy towards the wall and look for a pipe to climb. Climb
over the wall and run towards the waiting van, mission over.
Abattoir
You start out on the roof. There are 3 patrolling
guards. Climb over the fence in front of you and watch the pattern of the guard
near you. When he is away from the next
area, sneak by him and go behind this little shack on the left. You’ll be able to turn a valve to open some
sort of gate. This will cue a cut scene
and distract 2 guards. Watch the
patterns and head towards the shack with a light near the door. When it is safe, go in, pick up the med
kit. And go out the next door. You’ll get a save point here.
One patrolling guard on the ground remains. Listen
to his conversation; it has some hints on how to get through the mine field. Let
the guard enter the shack, you avoid him this way.
Now for the minefield, it is possible to sneak
your way through it. You will have to be patient and watch the search light
patterns. Take note of where shadows are cast, because you will need to stay in
the shadows. Before you start moving, make sure to check your thermal vision
for mines. They will pulse for about 2 or 3 seconds and then disappear. From
the open area in the fence, go straight, climb on the boxes and go as far up as
you can and then drop down [Note: there may be other paths through the field,
this is just one possible way]. Hide behind a dumpster and wait for the search
light to pass you. Check your thermal vision for the next mines and stay on the
left side of this area. Avoid the mines and hide in shadows. Make sure you see
where the search light goes and where a shadow is cast. Keep moving on the left
hand side. You will have to climb over a dumpster to get to the wall. When you
are there, turn to the right and find the open doorway.
Climb on top of the dumpster and do a double jump
to the open area. The open area is in the left corner. Once at the top, you get
a save point. Here is a tricky part. You will notice a light will flash on and
off. It stays off for about 10 seconds. The trick is to move so that you don’t
touch the roof and when the light switches back on that you don’t cast your
shadow into the room below. 2 guys will come out to the roof area if you alert
them. Take them out with the nifty cameras. Once you shut off the broadcast
antenna, 2 more guards will come out. But this is easy. Run for the door and go slightly past
it. One guard will swing open the door
and run for the tower. When he does,
quietly sneak in the door and go to the
right towards another door. Open it and
go in and hide to the left in the dark, put your back to the wall and wait for the other guard
to exit the area. It’s now safe.
Go down the steps and open the door on the left and go through. Look to your
left and you will see a barrel you can climb on. Then jump to the beam above
you and make your way all the way across the room. One guard will be relieving
himself and then like a good little boy he will wash his hands. But don’t let
him clean his hands! Make sure he uses the soap on your hammer drop from the
sky. Take his body to a dark corner, but don’t go past the wall. Shoot a light
to get the attention of the other guard. He will come over, but won’t be quick
enough to see the camera headed for his head. Hide his body in the same place.
One more guard is left patrolling. Follow him and knock him out any way you
please. There will be an open grate in the next room, drop down and continue
forward to the next save point.
Follow the vent shaft until you get to an area you
can stand up in. Climb the pole to the attic area. Slowly work your way to the
right. Turn on your thermal vision and you should see 3 guards standing below
you. Lucky for you, there is an open area that you can see all 3 of them. I
used 3 of my trusty sticky cams on each one of their heads. Drop down and hide
the bodies in a dark corner that you can create.
Off to the freezers now. Turn on your thermal
vision here. Slowly make your way to a mini wall there will be on patrolling
guard, stay near the wall so that you have a clear view of the doorway the
guard comes through. Sticky camera his noggin and move on, hide his body later.
His buddy patrols just ahead. Stay somewhat in the shadows and either sticky
cam him or use a good ole elbow to the head. Disable the turret. You have to go
to the side of it and climb over some equipment and then drop down.
Off to the next area now. There are 3 guys here.
One will be just on the other side of the doorway from you. Use your thermal
vision to watch his pattern. When his back is to the doorway, sneak up and elbow
him in the head. Another guard is about midway through the room and does a
small patrol, sneak up behind him and elbow him in the head. The last guard
also is on a small patrol area, watch him and sneak up and use the elbow to the
head. Hide their bodies in a dark area in the room.
Just on the other side of the next doorway is a
turret and a guard. If you try to shimmy on a pipe/beam above the room, the
guard will probably spot you. I just shot off a round to get him to approach
me. I sticky cammed his head from beyond the doorway and then used the beam to
get around the turret. Disable it and go retrieve your camera and hide the body
with the other 3 goons. There is one med kit in this room.
The next doorway is to the right of where you came
in about the middle of the room. Proceed through, turn left and get a save
point. Keep your thermal vision on and proceed. There is one guard with his
back to you at the doorway. One guard will patrol right up next to him, so grab
the guy when his buddy isn’t around. And wouldn’t you think this guard would
have noticed his friend is now missing? Knock out the guy and hide him in an
artificially created dark place. Now for the patrolling guy, when he is walking
away from the door, sticky camera him in the head. A third guard is standing
and should notice the body on the floor. Go left and sneak up behind this guy
while he is concerned about the body, elbow him in the head. Hide the bodies
and retrieve your camera. You are now looking for an open vent in the left corner
of the room. Drop down and proceed through the vents until you get to an open
area. Stand up and climb out. Shoot out a few lights to get another guards
attention. When he comes up to see why the lights are out, sticky cam him in
the head and try stuffing his body down the vent.
Go down the stairs and turn right, you will find a
switch on the wall. This will open up some type of vent, climb down and go
through the opening. You get another save point. Shoot out a light closest to
the next opening, just to make it dark if you want. There is one patrolling
guard in this area, wait for him to leave the room and move to the stable on
the right (the last one). Wait for him here and sticky camera his head. Hide
his body in the stable.
Go out this area and turn left, there is one
patrolling guard here. Stay in the shadows, dispose of him if you want, but he
could be avoided. There will be a doorway on the right, proceed slowly and
shoot out a few lights overhead. The second light you shoot should set off the turret
and alert the guard. Wait patiently for him to line up in your sights and use
the sticky camera, hide his body in a dark stable. Now for the turret, you can
disable it, but it requires timing. You will have to move around the turret
quickly, when it is not pointed at you. Disable it and pick up some ammo in the
opposite stable if you want.
Go out of the stable area and turn left. Create
some darkness near the next doorway on the right. Two guards await you as well
as two turrets. Your goal is to pick off the soldiers one by one with your
sticky camera. Shooting a light should attract just one of them. Then take care
of the next one. Go to the first stable on the left, there is a place for you
to climb up and work around behind the 2 turrets. Drop down and deactivate
them. Now from that stable, turn left. There is one more turret you have to
worry about. You could roll by, or you could move from cover to cover timing
the turret movements, or go and disable it. Doesn’t really matter what you do.
Go through the cover on the doorway and turn right. Go straight and through
another one of those covers. You’ll get a save point just prior to that.
Shoot out the nearest light and stay in the
darkness. Move up a little, 2 guards will stop in the hallway, one will face
you and the other has his back to you. Take them out with the little gadgets to
the head. Hide the bodies. Continue on and follow the hall. The hostages will
be coming up soon, take a right at the first door. You will hear 2 turrets.
Don’t worry, they won’t shoot you as long as you come down the center.
Deactivate both, if you go to the left, you’ll talk to the American soldiers.
They’ll be worried because there is only one of you. Pansy army guys, thinking
you need a battalion or division to take care of a few crazy Russians. Go to
the other room and talk to the Chinese diplomats. As soon as your done, you’ll
get a save point. Now the battle of your life! Equip the gas grenade and run up
the aisle that is in between the two turrets toward the way you came in. Shoot
the gas grenade. Equip your diversion camera. There will be one guard to the
right, shoot a diversion camera and let off the gas. 2 guards may be to your
left, do the same with the diversion camera. There are now 2 guards left. One
with a red hat that is quite easy to just elbow and one guy who will run
towards the American troops and pause to toss a grenade. Chase him and elbow
him in the head before he tosses it. Now just Grinko remains. He has a set
patter, so just stay under cover and watch it. When you have it down, equip an
airfoil ring or sticky shocker if you have them and shoot him. If you used the
airfoil or stunned him, run up and elbow him. For some reason, your elbow is
now lethal. End of mission. And this last part takes a few tries to get just
right.
Chinese Embassy II
You start out on a street. Head down the street
and find the entrance to the Chinese restaurant. Make your way towards the kitchen slowly by
staying in the shadows. Open the door to
the kitchen and put your back to the wall.
Watch out for the chef though. In
the corner near the window to the eating area is a ladder, climb up this ladder
and the next one and you’ll be on the roof.
Ahead of you is a wooden plank or two that allows
passage to the next building. One guard will patrol with a flash light on his
head, just wait outside the building on the ledge behind some cover, when he
heads to the right, go in. Go straight and then right through the apartment,
you’ll reach a balcony. Equip your sniper rifle and look for a flood light on
the left, take it out since it makes your coming trip a little easier. Look for
the pipe, climb up and you’ll be on a zip line to the embassy baby! You’ll drop
down on a ledge.
Shimmy your way around the building, mindful of
Feirong pacing while downing a 40. Make your way around the building and then
drop down. You’ll see a pipe to climb to an open area. The vent you drop down
in is right there. You get a save point for your handy work.
Once down, turn left and find the open room. Grab
a med kit in this room and look at the blown out area of the wall. You can put
your back to the wall and go left. You’ll come to the end and see a pipe to
slide down. Again, once down, put your back to the wall and go left. You’ll
over hear a conversation between 3 guards. One will have his back to you at the
end and 2 more will be shooting computers. You have to knock out everyone here
before they destroy the archives in the next room. I sticky cammed the first
guard and then inched out and took out the one in the distance. This alerted
the 3rd, but he stayed where he was in the corner shooting. I inched out and
shot the sticky cam at his head. All 3 down, and now time to move on to the
next room and tap the red screen computer. Lambert will chime in and tell you
that the Chinese have nukes! No!
Make your way out the next door. After you enter
the hall, a room on the right will have 2 med kits. Continue on and you get
another check point. Go out the next door and slowly creep up the stairs. Arm
your sticky cameras and take out the closest guard. It may or may not alert the
other patrolling guard. Just sticky cam him in the head and then shoot the
camera in that room and make sure to hide the bodies.
Pick up your sticky cams and go to the right and
follow the hall. There are 2 guards sleeping in a room, you can ignore them.
But if you want to have some fun (and you’ll blow the one kill game), set a
wall mine next to the bed. Pick up all the supplies here and then grab a
bottle, go to the room you came into and toss the bottle. Toast anyone?
In the hallway, shoot out the 2 lights closest to
the keypad and door. Then open the last door on the right. Turn back around, 2
guys will be coming to use the door. Wait in the shadows. There are several approaches
here, you can take both of them out with sticky cams quickly, or cam the last
guy through the door, or let both through the door and sneak in behind them. If
you cam them both, make sure to use the thermal goggles to see which numbers
they pressed. An orange color will indicate that key was touched most recently
and a bluish key will indicate the first key touched with varying shades in
between. To help yourself out, when you are looking at the keypad with your
thermals on, press and hold the black button.
Once through the door, stay there. Look to your
right, there is a ledge of sorts with some vases on it. Jump up and grab the
ledge and pull yourself up. Put your back to the wall and go left and drop down
on the other side (if you let both guys through, one will be below you). Shoot
out the light just above you and then disable the turret. If you let one guard
through, shoot the big floodlight above you near the flags. It will lure him
downstairs. Use your sticky cam here again and hide his body. Now, near the
turret, jump back to the ledge and then jump onto a vase. There is a break in
the banister that you can jump up and pull yourself up, right behind another
turret. Quickly shoot out the light nearest you and then disable the turret. If
you have time, shoot out the next light. 2 more guards will approach and walk
towards you, have your sticky cams ready for their heads. A fun thing to do is
to pick them up and go back to the break in the banister. Drop them down and
see if you can stack them on the turret below you.
Now, pick up your cameras and then proceed to
shoot out the lights on the flag pole (in sniper mode use your thermal vision).
Then shoot out a few of the lights on the opposite upper platform from the
turret you disabled. Return to the broken area and look for a pole to jump up
and grab onto. Make your way to the first flag and wait for the colonel and
another guy to come out. The colonel will open the door using the retinal
scanner. When the other guy goes in, silently make your way across the room
using the pole and silently drop behind the colonel. Grab him and force him to
open the door. Knock him out and then sneak up and knock out the guy in the
next room. Use the computer if you want.
Now, look at a window, you will be able to slide
one open. Drop out of the window to your next save point. You are now in a
courtyard. In front of you is a doorway of sorts with two lights. Shoot out
both lights to attract a guard and possibly a dog. When both are near, sticky
cam them! Hide the guard’s body someplace dark. Go through the entry way, but
be careful of the one patrolling guard near you. You can avoid him by staying
to the right and going in the water. Wait under the first bridge, when he walks
over, continue the way you were going staying to the right. Keep going straight
until you reach a metal door you can open. Go through this passage to another
metal door, open it. There is one guard standing on a platform you have to get
to. There is also a camera. Shoot out the flood light to get the guard’s
attention and then kill the camera. When he’s close, use the sticky cam to the
head and hide his body in the trash.
Go through the door at the top of the stairs. Pick
up the med kit on the wall if you need it. Go through the next door slowly,
turn right and go straight. Stay behind the shelves until this guard uses the
keypad. After he goes through the door, hop up onto the shelf and drop down the
other side, make your way to the door. Use the thermal goggles trick to gain
access. Once you do, you get another save point.
Sneak up carefully to the guard in the doorway and
grab him, take him inside the room and knock him out. Pick up the ammo and a
med kit. Turn of the lights. Slowly make your way in the door, there is a
camera above you and another light switch. Turn off the lights and kill the
camera. This should attract a guard, sticky cam him when he is close. The other
guard may also investigate. Repeat the action. Hide the bodies [note: you may
be able to sneak around these 2, but it’s safer just to take them out]. Shoot
out the flood light if you want. There is one more camera that you need to
kill. Near this camera is a box you can climb on, then jump up to the top and
make your way across the walkway to another save point.
You will get a cut scene of some guy filling up
gas tanks. Hmmm…gas tanks + bullets = kaboom! Keep going straight and turn
right and follow the platform. From here you will get a clear shot of a gas
tank. Shooting one will blow up both trucks as long as they are still next to
each other.
When done, go down the stairs and find the trap
door that is sort of behind the stairs. Use the ladder and you get another save
point. There is one patrolling guard that you will have to take care of. Knock
him out with anything you like. Move forward and another guard will approach
you, but do not knock him out. He gets a radio report and then runs off, follow
him but don’t get too close. You need him for the next 3 keypad doors. Just
keep following him until you get a save point. Say hello to Feirong. After the
cut scene, just grab him and interrogate him. Take him to the computer and you
will be able to force him to use it. When you’re done, he passes out from your
body odor. Now get out of here! Head straight and then left, there will be an
explosion. Turn right and go through the doorway at the end of the hall, turn
left and open the door on your right. Walk in between the flames (there’s
enough room). Make your way towards the window and another explosion will open
up a doorway to some stairs. Head down and stop at the next window, slide it
open and drop out. You’re done.
Presidential Palace
The first part of this mission is as similar to
Super Mario Brothers as you are going to get. Jump, fall, shimmy from platform
to platform.
Once you get a save point, you’ll see a pipe.
You’ll have to climb up it, go slowly. You’ll overhear a conversation between a
sniper and a guard. Go slowly, there are 2 dogs here and the water is a ways
off. Get up to the top so you can use the camera to watch the patrolling guard
and hear the dog. When the guard goes to your right, wait for the dog to pause
and move. Now is your chance. Climb up and go to the left towards the tower.
Stay in the corner, but hop over the fence. Crouch and go into your sniper
mode.
Watch the patterns and carefully take out the lamps that the dot the path
towards the hedges. Watch the spotlight
as well for a pattern. You may alert a
dog to your presence, if you do, hop over the little fence and you can hang on
the ledge until the coast is clear.
Continue to take out lights. When
you change the patrol patterns of the guards, the dogs will follow, when it’s
safe follow the spotlight to the hedge opening.
Go the right and then left, switch on your thermal
vision to reveal the presence of a standing guard. Sneak up and grab him. Knock
him out and leave him there. Grab the satchel, it has the key code you need for
the gate up ahead. By this time, a dog may be near you. Go into the fountain and hide to lose your scent. Wait for the area to be cleared (you’ll
notice that the guy you knocked out has been revived).
It helps to shoot out a few lights near the gate,
so you can move in darkness as there is one patrolling guard. When he’s away
from you and to the right, use the keypad to open the gate. Go left and towards
a light with a doorway. The door won’t open, but there is a window. Slide open
and drop in. You’ll find a med kit here and lock pick. Go up the stairs, get
the med kit and go through the door.
You are now in some area with 2 things on display
in the middle of the room. Switch to night vision. There are laser grids around
a door, but it’s blocked now. Go to the opposite side of where you entered. You
can open this door and find a med kit, but it’s best to wait and hide for the
guards to come out of that laser grid door. When they do, you can sneak past
them and through the previously blocked door.
Now you have another problem. The stairs have a
laser alarm system. You’ll have to double jump onto the ledge to the right of
the first lasers. Shimmy across and drop down on the stairs. But there is
another problem: more lasers. Jump up and grab the banister, pull yourself up
and over. See the door? That’s where you have to go.
Except you are confronted with another headache:
Georgian elite guards, they have helmets on too! Notice the pattern of the
elite on the same level as you. Slowly
follow him around the room and hide under the stairs until he continues his
patrol away from you. Go up the stairs,
equip a shocker and from a distance, take out the elite up here. He has the code for the door up here, make
sure you carry him into the next room with you.
Stay to the right of this new room. Watch the
patterns. There are 2 elite guards who walk down the middle of the room and 2
others on the side. When the elite guards are walking away from where you came
in and the other 2 or not looking at the hallway, make a break for it.
You want to get to a hall on the left, about
halfway down this hall. Careful, there is an armored camera here, it turns 360
degrees, so it should be easily avoided if you watch it. You can shoot out the
red light to make it a little easier. You have to get to the door on the left.
Go through, switch to night vision. You’ll see
some lasers again. Time your movement and run while crouched when they switch
off. Now you have to jump over one more. Watch the timing. Once done, you’ll
have a guard come in and look for the president. He’ll switch on the lights. Go
through the bookcases and sneak up behind him. Knock him out and hide him. You
can go through the door near the guard to pick up a med kit. Go back to the
room you came from and use the computer. Now you have a new mission.
Go back through the lasers. Remember the elites?
Watch out for them, now there is also one more guard who will walk with the
elites, but can be avoided since he doesn’t patrol with them. When the elites
go to the right, you go to the left and towards the double doors.
You’ll see 2 dead guards there, ignore them and
head for the next set of doors. You should find a med pack and some ammo, but
you don’t need ammo do you? Shoot out a few lights to make it easy on yourself.
See the room to the left? It has 3 elite guards that patrol around the elevator
you need to use. You can time your movements to avoid these guys. Or you can
shoot out a light, they’ll go nuts and look for you. I had them follow me to
the previous room. 2 of them got stuck behind the door and the 3rd went on
patrol again. So I followed the 3rd and used the elevator when he was away from
it.
Now the tough part: once you use the elevator,
you’ll get a save point. Once the elevator stops, RUN to the right and right
again behind some bookcases. 4 guards will be looking for you. Crouch behind
the last bookcase and soon the guard guarding that approach will turn, when he
does, run down the hallway leading down (use your night vision to see it, it
helps).
Once down, you’ll find Nikoladze. You can use the
computer to get a data stick if you want, but grab him and interrogate him.
Then force him to use the retinal safe. Now you’re in for some trouble. Several
elites will come down and Nikoladze will bargain his way out of it while you’re
stuck with your hands up. Make sure you have your night vision on. And under no
circumstances are you to move. Lambert will cut in and give you some good news.
Listen to it carefully and be mindful that these elites have night vision
goggles. When the count hits 2 and the lights go down run like h*ll to the
exit. Stay to the right and go behind the curtain. [Note: you can go left as
well, with the same result] You’ll only have to worry about the last guard
guarding the exit. On the fly, you can grab him or knock him out. [The
alternative is to go the guard nearest you and elbow him in the back of the
head when the lights go out. Go into that corner behind the boxes and equip a
sticky shocker (if you have it) and wait for the guard to come looking for you.
Shoot him with the shocker. There is another guard behind a pillar close to
you. You can use a gas grenade or a diversion camera and gas him. If he isn’t
knocked out, go up and knock him out while he’s choking. Another guard is
crouched. Use the same procedure as the last one. You have one guy left. You
can use an airfoil round, but be quick!]
Once out of this mess, go up to the library. A
door is now open on your left, go through it and get a save point. You have 4
more guards to deal with here, but they can be avoided. Look to your left. See
the pipe? That’s your goal. You’ll have to time it right, but when it’s good,
slowly make your way there. It may help to shoot out a light closest to the
pipe on the upper level. It takes some patience, but you’ll be able to get up
to that ledge. Once there, wait for the elite to go away from you and go
through the door on your left.
Once there, you’ll see a cut scene of Nikoladze
sitting in a chair, just waiting to be killed. Lambert will scream to take the
guy out now! But you’ve gone through the whole game without killing anyone so why
now? Think back to all the people who shot at you and the crazy dogs that chase
you. Screw being nice and snipe him. This is the ONLY kill you will have to
make in this game. But you have been a merciful god through the whole campaign,
now you must smite the evil former president. This will alert another guard who
will come to your area. You can sneak up on him and knock him out. Go through
the door in this area, it should be behind you if you are sniping Nikoladze.
This leads to a dining area. 3 guards will come in. 2 from the dining area and
one from the stairs you just came down. Knock out the guy coming down the
stairs with an elbow; take his body up to the door. Place him there; the other
2 will come through that door. You can just elbow them in the head as they try
and revive their comrade.
Almost done now! Go through the dining room. But,
don’t go through the door. See the cabinet on the left? Climb up that and jump
to the ledge with a banister. Slowly go out the door and work your way around
the room. When you get to the opposite side, jump onto the banister and do a
silent drop onto the floor. You can just stare at the 4 goons looking at both
doors and laugh. Laugh because they don’t even know their own presidential
palace has alternate escape routes! Ha ha! Head for the door that should be in
front of you, open it and you’re done with the game.
Kola Cell
You start off behind a fence. Listen to the
mission brief and look for a passageway, you’ll have to crouch. Follow the path
and flip on your night vision. Eventually, you’ll hear a guard talking on a
phone. To your left once you are almost out of the small passage, you can pick
up a shovel. You can’t do any digging with it. But you can use it as a weapon,
unfortunately you can’t swing it. You can only toss it. Use it on the guard’s
head.
Hide his body and pick up his dropped satchel.
You’ve got some bad news. Some of the spetsnaz have night vision. Go up the
stairs and go straight until you reach a netted off area. This is a passageway;
make sure you have your night vision switched on. You’ll see a laser trip wire
alarm. It’s too low for you to crouch under and too high for you to jump over.
Use the wall and wall jump over it.
Head left. You’ll see a retinal scanner, but no
one is around for you to force them to use it. If you continue straight into a
large room, you’ll notice the place is crawling with trip wire alarms. There is
an old fashioned computer you can use to pick up a data stick, it also opens up
a door on the other side of this room. Go back to the retinal scanner. Look to the
right and crouch down. Slide open the vent and drop down. Continue the only way
it leads and climb up to another slide open vent. You’ve just bypassed the
alarms. Turn right and then left and find the glass door. Go through it and up
the stairs. Be sure to turn off any lights you can!
Find the door on the left, use your lock pick
(it’s a long one!). Continue in the hall. On your left in this brightly lit
area is a closet with a med kit. 2 guards are around the corner. When I picked
up the kit, it alerted the guards. I waited in the closet and used my sticky
cam on the first guard. The 2nd one discovered the body and I used another
sticky cam on him. Hide their bodies in the closet.
Go left at the T-intersection and down the stairs.
Careful, a guard is patrolling here and will go up the stairs, so be ready with
your cam. Hide his body. Straight ahead of you are some boxes with some
bottles, climb over them. If you go left, put your back to the wall and go left,
pick up some ammo if you want. Go back and use your optic cable to watch the
guard in the next room. He has a set pattern. Open the door and you’ll discover
there is another guard who will become alerted. Fall back from the door and
sticky cam him. The patrolling guard remains. There are two options on
disposing of him. The first is a sticky cam to the head. The second is a little
more creative. Head left and then right near some lockers. Climb up on the
boxes to the left and drop down on him when he is under you. Hide the bodies.
Find the door to the next area, open it and you’ll
hear the distinctive sound of a camera. The bad news is that it is bulletproof
and none of the lights near it can be shot out. Also, it has a very small
rotation. Equip your camera jammer for the first time ever and move towards the
camera, be sure to not hold the trigger down the whole time or you’ll run out
of juice before you reach the camera. Head left at the net and be careful of
the laser trip wire. Head down the stairs and through the doors to the servers.
Locate a useable computer. You’ll get a
save point, finally!
Once you use the computer, you will alert everyone
on the base. Quickly make for the vent you dropped down and notice that the
server room is filled with water. Drop back a bit and switch on your thermal
vision. Make sure you can just see the opening and the ground below, these 3
guys have night vision and they’ll spot you quickly. You may have to use both
shockers if the 3rd guy is not in the area. Eventually, he’ll come to rescue
his comrades. Use the shocker in the water to get rid of him. Pick up a satchel
that contains a wall mine.
Head towards the upper right corner, climb on top
of the computer and grab the ledge of an open vent. Follow the path and wait for all 3 guards who
come in to be in the server room (listen for the splashes of feet). Slide open the vent and head back up the
stairs. Remember the camera? Equip your jammer and back away from the
camera slowly until you reach the end of the hall and the door. Open said door and go through. Flip on your
night vision and equip your favorite non lethal round. You are backtracking to
the retinal scanner. You’ll get a cut scene of a guard and the colonel you need
to capture. The guard will head down the stairs, get rid of him any way you
want. Climb quietly over the boxes and find the vent next to the stairs.
Make your way through the vents and eventually
you’ll be above and behind the colonel. The trick is to silently drop down so
you don’t alert him, remember that you are crouched so when you drop, you don’t
have to hit the b button! Grab him and now you have to get all the way back to
the retinal scanner near the beginning of the mission. Bad news is that there
are 2 guards patrolling with flashlights on their heads in the room that had
all those laser trip sensors. Watch the pattern of the closest guard, when his
back is turned go straight to the middle passage area and wait for the other
guard. When he turns his back follow him and duck into a passage on the left.
Wait there and when he passes again, continue towards the retinal scanner.
Go to the retinal scanner and force the colonel to
use it. Go through the door and put the colonel to sleep next to the commode.
Climb up the ladder and you’ll get a save point.
Find the double doors on the left of the room.
When you open them, you’ll get a cut scene of Masse. There is one patrolling
guard. The guard will go up the stairs in the far left corner and patrol around
the room, ambush him any way you like with whatever non lethal weapon you have.
Go down stairs and alert Masse so he goes and
hides. Force him to use the computer and then knock him out very quickly A
guard will toss a grenade that will explode 2 wall mines near the computers and
take Masse to his maker for you. Equip your rifle with a shocker, if you are
lucky, you have one left. Run up the stairs and crouch and shock the guard who
comes this way. Stay on the stairs, you have a little cover here, not much.
Equip your sticky shocker and wait for one guard to come towards you, be
quick! Then equip your smoke grenades
and fire one when the guard in the center starts towards you. He’ll choke, but don’t move yet. Make sure you fire your second grenade when
the other guard is coming to you. You
can knock them out or avoid the 2 choking guys. Run for the door and open it. Turn left once
through. [Note: there is an alternate strategy here. After you kill Masse,
equip your rifle with smoke grenades and aim for the door. Or aim for the left
and right, you might get 2 guards here, just be quick and follow the directions
above].
Find the previously jammed door. Open it and go
straight to the vent and slide it open. Drop down and slide open another vent.
You can play some hoops with a nerf ball if you want. Go through the door now.
Around the corner is a kneeling guard with his back to you. You can sneak up on
him or use the sticky cam. 2 more guards are down the narrow hall. They heard
their buddy go down and came to investigate. Knock them out as they try and
revive their fallen comrade.
Once done head down the hallway. One more guard
left. If you move too quickly, he’ll go on alert, just sneak up into the room
past the netting and stay in the dark near the doorway with stairs. Sticky cam
him as he comes up. Head down the stairs and to the passageway you came in. Get
to the fenced area and find another vent to slide open, once you do this, you
complete the mission.
