I've had this happen to me 3 times and my buddy has it happen too. It's frustrating when it happens near the end of the game. So if you've had this happening to you, post in here. I just wanna get a feel for how common this is and maybe even direct EA to this thread if it gets large enough.

This thread is not to come in here and bash EA or say they suck. Go do that in another thread. I'm just trying to find out about this one particular problem.  If it freezes in some other way, please don't report that here either. There's other freezing threads...

    Has happened to me once

My 360 is less than a month old, and I had that happen recently. I paused the game and when I tried to come back I got that error.
Sucked ***..

Me too it did it to me in middle of great victory before clock stopped.  Damn Anyone have any suggestions

It's happened 3 times after the game was over but before the save option came up, that 3 fxxxing wasted hours!!!!!!!!!!!!!

*** happened three times and is starting to **** me off. I just got my 360 in june and its already acting up. If it happens a couple more times I'm returning everything. This happened too many times with my regular xbox and they wouldn't fix it even though it was clearly a hardware problem. I purposely got the 360 late so I wouldn't have to deal with launch 360 problems such as this.. but obviously I didn't wait long enough

It happened to me on the first game of every dynasty I started in the 4th quarter. I took the game back and got a new one and it hasnt happened since. I got through the first 3 games so far without a hitch. I suggest you guys all go exchange the game and pick up another. My Xbox is practically brand new also, I guess I'll wait and see if it keeps doing it in the future or not.

This has happened to me 4 times as well.  If Best Buy will let me exchange it for a new game, I'm going to try and do that.  It's killing me!

Happen to me twice I exchanged the disc yesterday because of it, so far no problem but I hav only play about 6 games on the new disc however the old one it happened once in a year dynasty so I have no idea what triggers that problem.

Same thing, I dont want to start another game. I am in the 1st year of a dynasty and I have played 8 games and lost 5 others to lock up/disc not readable error. Ridiculous.

It's happened to me a couple of times when setting up a game. Never during a game.

Happend to me on my first game 4 times then i took it back. I have had good luck up until last night were I got a freeze. Is this a EA problem or a xbox360 problem? BTW I have 3 almost exact scratches right next to each other in a hook like shape. This could be from other stuff but could have been cause by xbox, any suggestions?

Happened to me every time that I tried to load up the dynasty mode.  I exchanged the game at EB Games for a new one and then added the $3.00 warranty so that I can take it back whenever.  This isnt the only game this happened with for me I got the same issue with NBA Live 2006 and NBA 2K6 (Been exchanged 5 times and counting).  Funny thing is im on my 4th XBOX 360 and 3 of the 4 played and destroyed my NBA 2k6. 

I have had it happen quite a bit.  I just rearranged my 360 to sit horizontally and it hasn't done it since.  I'm starting to wonder if the disc isn't slipping in the drive when vertical and then giving the clean disc message.  Time will tell, I'll just wait and see how many game I can play before it happens again.

It is to in stores I bought it a week ago when it came out! lol Anyways I took the game back and it happend again once. I just bought the 2 year extended warrenty so when they really really do fix this problem that seems to happen with alot of games I can get my new xbox then.

I can assure you that's not the case with me. Mine is sitting horizontally. Same with my buddy who it happens to.

It happend to me about 9 or 10 times while I was online, saying unreadable or dirty and need to clean it. I emailed EA they gave my 1000 reasons why, but it was never the disc and probley my 360. Well I took the disc back got a new one, and guess what, it happend again. I've played all my other games for hours and never any freezes. I also have the intercooler.
