Same here. The last game I played was COD4. I also watched 2 movies. After a few days of not using the system I turned it on to see who was online, there was no game in the system, and after about 1 minute the screen got a blue/yellow hue and eventually went black and my tv said "no signal." I had a couple customers in my store over the past 3 weeks with the same problem (the game store will of course remain nameless). I just got off the phone with a supervisor, Andy, and I was told that because my system is out of warranty I would have to pay the $99 for the repair. After a long argument in which I told him that the price was not the issue, MS could charge me $10 and I wouldn't pay it, I told him that I would no longer be recommending the Xbox 360 to customers when they are torn between the 360 and the PS3. I can no longer back a company that will not take responsibility for their failures. I was told that it was "normal wear and tear that caused the problem". Well, one customer I sold a 360 to brought it back in 3 weeks with the same problem. Are you telling me THAT is normal wear and tear? Seriously Microsoft, you need to stop manufacturing a faulty system or you will begin losing more customer than you already have. I honestly feel guilty recommending this console to customers who buy it as a gift, only to know that some are going to have a "red-ring" christmas...
And you can say that I am cheap, or that I am expecting too much, but I know some of your are on more that 2 systems. You know where I am coming from. I hope that someone at MS is actually reading these forums so that they can get to the bottom of what is causing this issue. It's not, "normal wear and tear."
