Don't Fear the Reaper and Foreplay/Longtime on Expert Drums. DFtR, I haven't really been trying, but Foreplay/Longtime is driving me mad. Any tips for the first part?

Have someone do the kick pedal for you. Its so much easier, but a cheap way to do it! I myself had to have it done this way. I am stuck on RTTH now and there is no hope for me!

For me it was pure frustration and anger! I just got mad at the song after about 30 times trying and managed a way to get through it! HORRIBLE score, but I never have to play it again!

I finally decided to step it up and go for Hard on Guitar last week, and I got to the last tier yesterday and I'm stuck on two songs.

GGHT - I get to 88% completion and then the solo just messes me up good. I've tried it 3 times and fail at the same spot (it's where it goes back and fourth really quick ie. r-y-r-y-r-y-r) and then it moves to orange and something i believe.

Flirtin' With Disaster - same story, the solo just f's me up. I can't hit the quick notes, don't know why. I get to about 70% of the solo I think then bomb like crazy.

This is about where I am on Expert guitar now.  Though I still have yet to clear Highway Star, I just can't get these fast hammers.

for guitar, the ONLY song I cannot beat as of today is Afterlife by A7X. I have the metallica pack, disturbed pack, earache thrash pack, and most others and this is the song I cannot beat. The solo is insanly hard. the solo is pretty much like Buckethead playing, but without all the wierd sound effects and that. It's THAT hard (and under the music store, it's 8/9 points).

If someone hasnt allready answered ya for the rift Y-R-G-R-Y and B-Y-R-Y-B what i did was just hit the 3 pullin off as in Y-R-G over and over again for it then for the other one same thing except with B-Y-R.

For the last part all i did was save overdrive and then just smash all the notes as fast as I can with overdrive.

Those are the 2 parts i know about that are hard if not tell me which part.  Also Overdrive is important for those 2 parts you should save it up from the end of solo 1 all the way to those parts of the solo. ( I know its a long time to save but if you mess up you will regret it will low or no overdrive.)And last my way of doin hammer ons and pull offs sturming really really fast when they get there works 99.9% of the time:D

 

Does being stuck trying to get a 100% on a song of expert on the drums? If so i could use a tip for getting that.Or on a completely diff topic raining blood on expert i made it to 38 percent struming realy fast but keep failing at the very end of it.

I'm stuck on won't get fooled again on expert drums...I fail around 73%

That last tier on Expert Guitar is starting to tick me off. I got through Train Kept a Rollin' no sweat, and I can do almost all of Highway Star except for one part in the solo which just happens to last slightly longer than a full bar of overdrive. I was 90% in GGHT today and blew it. The Molly Hatchet song is in the same category as Highway Star. Got the whole song except for one part of the solo, and I made it through RttH today, so that's one less. A little hardcore practice time on the solos should nail it for me, I guess.

As for drums, I'm RttH away from Hard, and I can't remember where I am on Expert. Somewhere in the middle. Hard vocals has me stumped on Here It Goes Again just b/c I can't remember the words.

Seeing as it took me a million tries to beat Flirtin with Disaster on Hard, it doesn't look too promising.

Ouch, I would imagine Foreplay is hard, I've never played it on Rock Band drums, but in real life it's a b*tch to play. Just try it slower, and practice getting the double taps on the snare down

You don't have to hit both red notes to get through it. Try to hit 95% of the bass pedals and one red note per measure.
