Email Tecmo.   help@tecmoinc.com

If we all email them every day, then maybe they'll start paying attention.  Maybe we could send so many emails that their server crashes from all of our HELP spam....and that way, even if they're not paying attention, they'll at least feel our pain.  Just an idea.  I've emailed them twice now, but they're obviously content to ignore lil' ol' me.

Ugh, I really just want to slice somebodys head off in mission mode. While being online. It is just making me angry that I go to the main menu and says my profile is disconnected re connect the hard drive and try again. I'm getting quite angry.

Good idea, sending an email right now!

I find it really sad that there is ZERO communication from the developer/publisher on the issues - do they even know whats going on? After all, the game, on the market for about 2 months is broken in its current state!!! (and yes, the problems are still there as of this morning, cutscene froze again).
I guess their priority was to release new content as fast as possible to have us pay more money rather then insure that it all works correctly. Might as well go back to PC Gaming if I have to find somewhat 'creative' workarounds for those issues. At least most additional content there is free!

any cost of making MM free/cheaper like 400msp? should be taken out of the team-mannager who was responsible for passing this pile of turd.  If they don't like that arrangement they should be fired.

It really doesn't matter, TECMO doesn't know how to pay their own employees. You really think they care? TECMO doesn't care about the MAN who made the game, and they don't care about their customers either. You would think they would have an official statement by now, a week later. That's okay though, they already have your money.

If TECMO is going to plan a future they are going to have to fix this. Because if they don't they will loose A LOT of customers. They need to start looking at what could happen long term if they expect to survive with all that is going on.

Personally, Tecmo is dead to me as a developer anyways. What relevant games do they have besides the ones Itagaki made for them? So I"m certainly not interested in dropping money for one of their broken games ever again.

However, I would like for the game that I already paid for to work. I don't even want their B.S. DLC that was obviously ripped from the game for the sole purpose of squeezing more money out of the people who have enjoyed the game. I just want them to roll back or fix the update that made the game unplayable without erasing the HDD cache. What a joke. You'd think MS would be on top of this to keep people from having to go and do that just to play a game.

Absolutely brutal! You'd think they would have resolved this by now. I thought it may have been my XBOX, but apparently not. I decided to check out the fourms on a whim ....great, so more less we're SOL for the time being? Mine froze at chapter 10 during the cinimatic...blah..

XRampage~

You're not SOL.  If you don't want to play...that's one you.  If you really DO want to play, clear your cache and it'll work perfectly.

I got stuck less than a week ago right one the last 3 bosses in the final chapter.  Tried to redo it 5 times and kept getting locked into the black screen with the vibrating controller.   I took the advice, cleared the cache and was able to pick right up and finish that.  Now I'm on chapter 12 with the Talons.  I'm going to continue to refuse that update when prompted.

Is there anyway to open up a law suite with this one? I mean customers paid money for a product. It is reasonable that the product should work without removing all updates from everything you have. Thus, can't they be sued for this?

They are currently selling a game that does not work.

Has anyone received a reply from their emails?  Also does anyone know what the official Ninja Gaiden II forum is?  Is there an actual official website + forum?  If we want updates that would probably be a better place to look.

http://tecmoforums.com/eve     I don't know if that's the "official" NG2 forum, but it may be a good place to start.

Although, I posted there two days ago and I'm still that last person to post in that thread.

I haven't heard anything from the emails I've sent....guess I'll just keep sending.

So who the *** published it? Who is getting paid for the sales of it?

I emailed XBOX support last night, and got the generic computer generated answer, like the game freezing issue was isolated to me only! I have stood by XBOX since the original, but this situation makes the PS3 look better to me!

Actually Microsoft published the game in the US and Team Ninja developed it. Not sure who is responsible for the updates but it can never hurt to email Microsoft about these ongoing issues.

No.  You can decline the update or remove it but that disables all xbox live features of the game, i.e. you can't view the leaderboards or upload your score.  If you do the update, then you can't finish the game.

I, for one, don't want to have to do that final boss battle any more times than I have to.

So Tecmo isn't supporting it.  I guess emailing them is pointless then.  If Microsoft published it they'll be responsible for this patch.  Who would we contact at microsoft in charge of this game then?

Re: RE: Re: Ninja Gaiden II DLC [UPDATED]

It does list TECMO / Team Ninja as Developer, and Microsoft as Publisher. Team Ninja is an internal game development group for Tecmo.

Since Tecmo published all other Team Ninja games and probably did so for NG2 in other countries, it can't be wrong to at least email them as well as long as we include emails to Microsoft (support)

After all TECMO does own the rights to the Ninja Gaiden franchise and will most likely continue to develop it sequels.

From what I have heard the lead developer on NG2 left TECMO on bad terms so looks like there will be quiet a wait to get the new update and download content issues resolved. Im wondering if it wasnt intentional! A goodbye present.

So I redownloaded the DLC again. Samething happens as soon as you get your first acheivement...the game can't find the HDD. I notice ppl are posting scores on the leaderboard. How are ppl playing/posting scores on the leaderboard?

If someone has fixed the problem. let us know. I notice some ppl got on here and said "I don't have any problems". So did you get your acheivement in survival? or any other that are related to MM?

I talked to someone who used to work for Microsoft.  His suggestion was call 1-800-4MY-XBOX and talk with XBox Live Support.  Then ask for a supervisor and direct him to this thread to point out all of the people indicating they're having this issue.  It is going to take more than 1 phone call.

Just thought I would share this email I received from Tecmo:

Hello,

Thank you for the email and I sympathize for the problems that you are having with this game, so please try the following.

  1. Allow your console to rest for 24 hours.
  2. Keep your console in a well ventilated area.
  3. Use disk cleaners and carefully wipe your game.
  4. Contact XBOX Customer Support for help.

The number for XBOX Customer Support is 1800-4MY-XBOX (1800-469-9269).  They are the Co-Publishers for this game and should be able to help you.  Their number can also be located at the back page of the manual.  I hope this helps and good luck.

Sincerely,
Tecmo Inc Support

Way to dodge the problem!! My copy of the game is new, without a scratch, and my console is not running hot. I can play games for 8 hour stretches with no problems, ever.

Wow, this is ridiculous. This has been going on for at least a week.

I've have been playing different games when I decide to play 360 and have avoided popping in NG2 for the time being thinking soon, very soon this would be resolved. But I was incorrect.

Whoever is responsible for this sloppy, poorly planned, death update should have a way to compensate for their poor service.

That pretty much says it all and I'll add a "!!!" to the end of that statement.

I was really looking forward to the MM DLC, but I'm not buying it until everything is fixed. I usually check reponses from people before I buy DLC and such- sure glad I did this time for sure. This has been going on for far too long now and there hasn't even been any information updates on the resolution.

Lets go MS & Tecmo, get your act together on this and get it done.

Don't worry, I brought all of my digital weapons.
