The song choices are just ridiculous to be honest, we had a house full of 30 somethings last week (yes, we are that old) where the hell are the 80's classics that people of our age group want to sing. Duran Duran, Wham (not me, her) etc. Rapidly becoming a poor party game in our house.

actually i would like to hear more of a variety of genres.. like jazz and blues.. i have a widely varied taste in music.. rock country jazz blues metal classic rock.... all kinds really.. other than latin...

I'm still living in hope that MS will put out some nice cheesy songs with some 80's classics! The choice right now is such slim pickings, no more 'alternative' music please!

yes! no more alternative songs - there are other games like rockband and guitar hero for that!!!

Think that all of these songs are great. But I would to have any song by Celine Dion. My songs by her would be I Drove All Night, Because You Loved Me, A New Day Has Come (long version or radio version), Taking Chances, Eyes On Me, Alone, Fade Away, and The Power of Love. I really do hope that there will be something with Celine Dion in the next DLC for this game. Now that would be be great.

There are so many songs that could be included here but the main thing I see missing are just some classic karaoke mainstays that you always here people singing at karaoke bars. Most of the songs for Lips are new pop songs but where are the classic songs everyone would sing along to:

• Jump Around - House of Pain
• School's Out - Alice Cooper
• Killing in the Name - Rage against the Machine
• Bat out of Hell Album by Meat Loaf
• Hotel California - Eagles
• Highway to Hell/Back in Black - AC/DC
• YMCA - Village People
• I Will Survive - Gloria Gaynor
• Abba (yeah I know Singstar has some kind of contract with them for this)
• Tainted Love - Soft Cell
• Born to be Wild - Steppenwolf

I'd love to also see some real Metal (Iron Maiden, Slayer, etc) but that will be a long time coming. :(

And some songs in other languages, especially spanish.

I couldn't agree more with you Eric. I have rock band and Lips and I love both. But I simply dont wanna sing songs on lips that I already can play on Rock Band... and since the wireless microphones will work on rock band 2 this summer (they already work on GH:Metalica) it makes it a better idea to keep the two games have different song titles.

I see lips as a game I wanna see the music video for, to enjoy to as I sing the song... something that you couldnt care less about the instruments. Micheal Jackson is a great example.... where as if i want instruments I dont wanna see The Chili Peppers or Foo Fighters on lips, I want them on Rock Band 2.
