My second console is rampant with this behavior, the first one was perfect until I hooked up the ridiculous VGA cables that ruined it permanently, but that is another story.
Long story short about the disks not loading--I simply keep the 'A' button pressed while the disk is reading, and it has worked every time so far. It now happens with any game, and it is really causing me to question what the *** is wrong at MS if this is still going on a year later. This console was manufactured in 10/2006, my other one, 10/2005. I yank off the HDD, and games load as if there has never been any sort of problem whatsoever. And if I have to 'unplug and plug' all cables back in, I seriously wonder how safe this console really is--is there some charge buildup that needs to be grounded out? Why is it that every solution seems to be 'just unplug and plug back in the cables'? To *** with that, how about fixing the crap?
My first one has been repaired, all I have to do now is arrange some way to get it--I work all day about 20 miles from home, and simply wont be around. Once I get the 'old' one back, I am taking the other back to Best Buy, burning up my 70 dollar 'single use warranty' and getting the voucher, and then not getting one thing XBOX 360 related, like a PS...whatever.
