Re: This Week in Xbox: Column feedback, discussion, Q&A, etc.
I want to see some more of Unreal Tournament 3 on xbox.com!
They've got the console controlls workin for them, so this game should be awesome, I've read some stuff about it in OXM and it looks really fun, and Unreal Championship 2 on the xbox was awesome. And now UC2 is compatable on the 360, if your tired of Halo or somethin buy UC2, I think its like $20 or something, it should make you happy that their's gonna be UT3.

I don't know if it's too early to start tracking on these yet or not, but I would be very interested in seeing upcoming news on BioShock and Ace Combat 6.

Also, any tidbits on the upcoming DLC for Crackdown would always be welcome. Thanks.

Lucasarts is discussing a new generation of gaming exclusive to LucasArts.  They are using new technology such as DMM and euphoria.  Will the Xbox 360 be able to handle this type of technology?  How long before we see this type of technology available on the Xbox 360?    Do you forsee The Force Unleashed being released for the Xbox 360?

Well LucasArts has long since confirmed that Star Wars: Force Unleashed would be released on the 360.
Euphoria is just a new engine which will give chracters real time characteristics and reactions. Rockstar has said they will also be adapting this engine in future projects, but they have not yet metioned if this will appear in GTA4 or not. To my knowledge only Force Unleashed, Indiana Jones and Rockstar projects will be using this engine so far. Now depending on whether or not the engine is used in GTA4 will decide how soon we see this technology on the 360. DMM is being used exclusivly in SW: Force Unleashed at this time, so we won't see that likely untill sometime mid-late 2008.

Any insight to Carbonated Games' Aegis Wing that (recommendably enough) is rumored to be free and (worryingly enough) rumored to be US only?

Also, as far as Xbox.com goes (your main playfield), is there any chance that dashboard updates and other sizeable events would get their own, temporary, areas on these forums? The amount of talk surrounding them pretty much drowns out all the other discussion on each and every general area for a week or so ^^;

Lastly, while it did remain a bit of a mystery why the Xbox.com forums had a problem that prevented posting between 8-9AM GMT, I have no longer bumped into that the past few weeks. Whether something was done or not, a big thank you!

RoboBlitz is a great game and you should get it ASAP.   The unique physics,  like having to move things around with a tractor ray gun while you are upside down and much more.  Also the puzzles you have to complete to get upgrades and save your home/spacestation like place.  The wapoms and other goodies you can unlock are awsome.  I loved this games.  Try it!!!!Big Smile [:D]

wasnt there an old game called Roboblitz that was like a football game... I think it may have been made by midway or somethin. Anyway it was all 2d but had a 3rd person camera and it really sucked... why would anyone else want to use that name, and is it even legal to use it?

I'd like to see a column addressing the issues & problems surrounding Xbox Customer Service, and what could be done to improve it.  I know, not a very sexy topic, but it's been on my mind lately, and perhaps others'?

whatever happened to the new downloadable content for GHII.... and why the heck is it so overpriced.
Seriously if u download all the content that RO said they were going to release it (which nobody has heard from since) would be more that going out buying a ps2 and GHI.
Did RO just give up because nobody wanted to buy their content because about 1/4 or less of their customers has the content... i wonder why.

RE: the racing wheel - When will the firmware updater debacle be resolved?  Before you suggest folks go out and buy the wheel you might want to let them in on the "known issue" that prevents more than ONE wheel from connecting at a time.  Yes; even though the packaging, instructions, media and this website proclaim up to FOUR racing wheels can be connected at the same time that is NOT the case unless your wheel has the latest firmware update.

Good luck trying to get the "updater"!!  I've been trying since 5/19/07 to get one and all I've gotten is the runaround from Xbox 360 support!!  After multiple phone calls, multiple emails and multiple "ticket numbers" I've yet to receive anything OR even get a confirmation that the promised updater has been shipped!!!

You are correct; Xbox (or at least Xbox 360) "customer service" is absolutely HORRIBLE!!  Any other technology company would be out of business if they treated their customers this way...  Allowing products with a "known issue" to be sold without an effective support resolution is unethical!!

LaRoyce,

We simply haven't gotten info from 2K on All-Pro yet to put on the site. No grand conspiracies.

As soon as we can get screens, videos, etc. from 2K we'll get a page up!

Love the column, Denny.

I'd still like to see some coverage on the upcoming release of Bioshock, especially if you manage to get your hands on an advanced copy. The early screen shots of Ace Combat six are looking pretty good, so please keep that one on your radar, as well (no pun intended!).

Also, I'd like to see some more feedback from you on the Halo 3 beta, in the form of a post-mortem of sorts. I only got to play it for a couple of days myself, after falling to the Red Ring of Death shortly after the beta started. (I wasn't all that geeked about what I did get to see of it, but I'd still like to read your own take on it).

Keep up the good work!

Re: This Week in Xbox: Column feedback, discussion, Q&A, etc.

Guys, as I cut-and-paste every week into the bottom of my column (heh), I can't say anything about unannounced release dates for demos, Arcade games, etc. Arcade games are generally announced the Monday before they ship. Hey, it gives you a reason to get out of bed after the weekend and start the week. ;)

I typically don't know these dates much earlier than you guys do anyway. Demos typically go live soon after they pass testing, so there's pretty short notice on those.

Is it possible for you to add user made events for xbox live? Where the event maker could put his own MPts into the pot for the winner

Whatever happened to Spyglass Board Games on Xbox Live Arcade? I was looking forward to a chess game on the Xbox 360. It was mentioned in the Now section of Xbox Magazine, and in an earlier column, but I can't find it on Live Arcade.

Has it been cancelled or delayed? If so, does anyone know when it will be released?

Love the column, by the way, keep it up.
