Star wars: Battlefront II FAQ.
Hello everyone and welcome to my Battlefront II FAQ. In this FAQ I will aim to show you the different planets that are available in Battlefront II and introduce you to the soldier classes, weapons and indeed vehicles at your disposal.
First off lets have a look at the Game modes in Battlefront II.
Rise of the Empire - This is the games story mode. It follows the 501st Legion of Storm troopers throughout the Clone wars and Galactic civil war.
Galactic conquest - Fight either to liberate the galaxy, Or enslave it. Campaign based gameplay.
Instant action - Pick a planet and time period and let the battle commence!
Multiplayer - Take Battlefront II online and fight other players over Xbox Live or split-screen modes.
The Army’s.
Republic Clone army - These guys start off as the good guys but are the predecessors to the Storm troopers from the Original trilogy. The Clones fight in all the battles between Geonosis and Mustafar.
The Clones have access to the most advanced vehicles for the period; Including: AT-TE walkers, Republic gunship, Arc-Fighters (Predecessor to the X-Wing) and JedI Starfighters.
CIS - The CIS is better known as the evil Droid army from the Star wars prequels. Led by Count Dooku but ultimately under the control of Darth Sidious. At the start of the Clone wars the CIS upgrade their foot soldiers from Battle droid to Super Battle droid.
Rebel alliance - The Rebels are from the good guys from the original Star wars trilogy. They have many heroes fighting for its cause including: Luke Skywalker and Han Solo. What the Rebels lack in ground support vehicles they make up for in Starfighter’s, With the excellent X-Wing fighter.
The Galactic Empire - Previously known as the Galactic Republic, But as democracy failed the evil Darth Sidious declared himself Emperor and reorganized the Republic into the Galactic Empire.
The Empire are known for their terrifying Storm troopers who enforce the will of the Emperor. The Empire also have access to the fearsome AT-AT walkers and Tie fighters to crush the Rebellion.
Soldier classes.
Note: All these classes apply to every playable army.
Soldier - Well rounded grunt on the ground. Usually carries a blaster rifle, pistol, and thermal detonators and concussion grenades.
Heavy weapons - The “Tank busters”. Ready to take out all types of ground vehicles including the fearsome AT-AT walkers. Equipped with rocket launchers, pistols, mines, and thermal detonators.
Sniper - The lone wolf on the team. Excels in long range combat, Its very unwise to attack an outpost as a sniper. Snipers carry a sniper rifle, thermal detonators, pistols, and either auto-turrets or recon droids.
Officer - The officer has many abilities including the ability to spot hostile units and movements and have the ability to dispense health and ammo supplies to fellow troops.
Special - These units are unique to the army’s they belong to. The Republic Clone army has the Jet pack trooper, CIS have the Destroyer droids and Magna guards, Rebel alliance have access to the Wookie warrior and the Galactic Empire use the Dark Trooper.
Engineer - This class replaces the pilot class from the original game but retains the same functions. Their fusion cutters can now cut through enemy vehicles, and Engineers automatically repair any vehicle they are in.
Hero - Play as a hero from the movies! You can control a hero after fulfilling the level requirements (Such as capturing a set number of outposts).
Vehicles.
Ground vehicles (Including Tanks and Speeders):
Republic Clone army - AT-TE, AT-RT, BARC speeder, Republic IFT-X Hover tank.
CIS - AAT, Hailfire droid, STAP Speeder, Homing spider droid, Corporate Alliance Tank Droid.
Rebel alliance - Alliance ARC 1 tank.
Galactic Empire - AT-AT, AT-ST, Imperial IFT-T Hover tank, Speeder bike.
Starfighters/Gun-ships:
Republic Clone army - ARC-170 Fighter, V-Wing, LAAT Gunship, JedI Starfighters/Interceptors.
CIS - General Grievous Starfighter, Vulture droid Starfighter, Droid Tri-Fighter, Droid Separatist Gunship.
Rebel alliance - Y-Wing, X-Wing, A-Wing, Snowspeeder, Alliance assault craft.
Galactic Empire - TIE bomber, TIE fighter, TIE interceptor. Landing craft.
Creatures:
Tauntaun - Used by the Rebels on Hoth.
The planets.
Battlefront 2 has many new planets that weren’t in the original game but were seen in Star wars Episode 3: Revenge of the Sith. Lets take a look at the planets feature in the game. Note: Some planets can be played in different time periods. For example Naboo can be played during both the Clone wars and Galactic civil wars, However some planets can only be played during one time period; For Example: Hoth. Only the armies from the time period can be played in certain battles. For example the Endor level only allows a battle between Rebel alliance and the Galactic Empire.
All the playable armies listed here are those from the time period the original battle took place. All battles are either Republic Clones Vs CIS or Rebel alliance Vs Galactic Empire. The heroes also apply to the time period. For example Darth Maul will not fight on Naboo during the Galactic civil war. All these options (Except which heroes appear) can be customized in Instant action mode.

Playable army’s: Rebel alliance Vs Galactic Empire.
Hero: Han Solo, Darth Vader.
Vehicles: AT-ST, Speeder bike.
Other: Native Ewok army fight the Empire.
Felucia
Playable army’s: Republic Clone army Vs CIS.
Hero: Aayla Secura, Jango Fett.
Vehicles: AT-RT, Armoured tank droid.

Geonosis-Dust plains
Playable army’s: Republic Clone army Vs CIS

Other: Geonosian natives fight against the Republic Clones.

Other: Protect the shield generator.

Other: Be aware of Jabba’s palace guards and Jabba’s pet Rancor.

Kashyyyk-Beach Head

Other: The Jawa’s that inhabit Mos Eisley are neutral to both sides.

Other: Watch out for doors that lead you into the lava.
