Is anyone having problems when they run the first KOTOR game on their 360? I do. It runs slow and the dialog is choppy. It's so annoying. Anyone experiencing the same thing that I am?

I just started playing it again on my 360 and Im having the same proble. Im also losing the FX sounds after playing for a while, I have to turn the console off and turn it back on to get them to come back

Im having the same problem as both off you. Nearly at the end now thou. I also had trouble getting the Yavin station aswell.

I've had all those problems with mine as well. Mine's REAL crapy though and I have no idea if any one else's does this, but when I finally finished Taris, and got off the planet, I proceed to go and steal the Ebon Hawk from Davik. When I board the ship, it plays the video sequences(which you can't skip - annoying), I fight a wave of fighters in the turrets, then the screen goes black after one last video sequence. Nothing happens after this, the game just freezes up and I can't play any further. I have to shut off my 360 and try again. I've done this over and over and can't get it to work. Anyone know why, or is anyone having the same problem?

The  best way to reduce it i found was to dis-connect live. Take the plug out cos its always looking for a signal in the background causing the game to lag

I played KOTOR until I hit Tatooine, and then reached a sign I could not get past without it freezing my system. I'm not sure if this is a game bug, or a backcompat bug, but it sucks. I can't recommend KOTOR for 360.

Hitler plays with dolls.

I popped it in today and it freezes every once in a while but will come back up again a second later and I've ran all the way down the hallway and surrounded by enemies out of nowhere.

During cutscenes the scenes will skip too.

I get the same thing. I emailed MS voicing my outrage and got a reply from some idiot back saying "What is your problem."

Yeah I have the same problem. I hope on the next update they fix it so it play just like it does on the original Xbox or even better.

dam I just rented this on gamefly. Is it still playable?

yeah it sucks but its still playable barely in some parts i find that battles lag you out... like *** i just started playing it yesterday in some planets like tat it is very hard with the lagging ect but overall its not that bad

My copy doesn't even get past the Bioware start screen.

They shouldn't have this game on the list as It won't even boot up on my 360.

Good, so it's not just me. I was a little worried my system was crapping out already.

It's very playable on mine, I have only had the screen black out once in the past couple days I have been playing it. But I have gotten very bad lag (slideshow bad) and some very audio skips at some points in the game, which never happened on the xbox. I'm going to try it with my network cable unplugged as someone mentioned, hopefully that will help with some of it.

The problems I have with my system only include the dialog being slow and choppy and other minor ones.  But, I haven't tried disconnecting my Live ethernet cord, so maybe that could help, like the bulldog said above :)

Overall still a great game, it got a 9/10 on gamespot and other reviews, but subtract a point or two if you play it on 360.  If you have a powerful enough PC, or you still have an original Xbox, it'd be better if you got a PC Kotor or used your Xbox copy on an original Xbox.

having some minor annoying problems ... the worst is the low framerate on some big battles .. can really get messed up

Mine is freezing up on Tatooine as well, oh well good thing I still have my original Xbox, because KOTOR is pretty much broken on the 360

Yeah man im playing through right now and its the same way. Make sure you download the updates for your 360 that helped me alot. Although some of my diaolog is still choppy

i need help with Yavin station, i downloaded the updates that comes in the options menu, is that yavin station? i looked on my galazy map and nothing. i alredy got 3 star forge maps. please help. :$

Their are updates to download but yavin station is seprate from the updates. You have to make sure you download the station not just the updates

Yeah so im guessing every1 has experienced that random glitch after leaving the leviathan, and having the space battle with the sith fighters, i need some help, after going through allthat and the final little victorious flight scene my screen goes black and all there is the character switch sound when i press a button.

does anyone know how to fix this? or am i screwed and damned to go througbht the whole thing again....

my copy seems to be working fine, i am only an hour or so in at the moment, we have just landed on the sith controlled planet.

As in another post, there have been tons of complaints now about playing kotor 1&2 on the 360.  Hopefully they will have this fixed eventually......... And make it Widescreen.

does KOTOR 2 have this same problem? I dont have either and only have a 360 and was goign to get the first KOTOR until i heard of these bugs, does the second one have bugs as well?

How To Win Guess Who In One Move

Man, I thought it was my system only, I just deleted my files and everything! I have been having the same problems as all of you. I have choppy dialogue, fx sounds going away after a while of playing, but I also have some stuff different than all of yours. I cannot talk with Bastilla, Jolee and Carth when it says that they are disturbed about something or if it looks like they want to talk. This also means I can't do the Carth's son sidequest on Korriban, which I missed the first time around. The sonic nullifiers (or whatever they're called) don't work so I can't kill those firaxa fish underwater at Manaan which then keeps me from getting to the star map. I can run through doorways which are supposed to lead somewhere but I don't transit to the next area. I have a slight difference to the Leviathan though, my screen goes black after Carth and I run to the ship, at first I thought it was just loading but then I pressed start and the start screen came up. I saved and restarted and the screen wasn't black anymore it turns out that I was running around the hanger where the Ebon Hawk was on the Leviathan. I'm pretty sure I wasn't supposed to be though because there was no entrance to get onto the Ebon Hawk and I was walking through all of the objects on the hanger. I seriously hope this gets fixed somehow!

oh and now I just glitched onto the dancer stage in the cantina...
