Season One...

Since the old thread was all about this summer's Master Ts, this will be my running blog/whinepage.  Since the other thread got over 2000 looks, I figured why not.  Feel free to drop by, say hello, grumble a little, whateva.

We obviously all love poker or we wouldn't be wasting our time, right?   Don't be shy and don't be a stranger.

Aeg out...Beer [B]

Re: Season One...

So they tourney started last night.  I came in 12th.  Blah.  It was cool to see Hopen For Death (AKA The Pain Train) win it.  We used to play on WCP2 a lot.  Kudos.

Tonight is the tourney for the first ring!!!!  It's a bronze, but still exciting nevertheless.  Unfortunately, it starts @ 11PM, so I won't be able to play since I work tomorrow.  It'll be the Mrs.  Good luck to those who enter.

Re: Season One...
My bad.  The ring tourney's tonight, not yesterday.  Yesterday's tourney was just a Master Level T.  I did good, but not good enough...7th.

I need to be more patient...I need to be more patient...I need to be more patient.  I was totally off my game last night.  Just mentally unprepared.  I came in 32nd.  I was low stacked, won a hand and went over 2k.  Then I got pocket Ks, made two pair, went all in only to lose to a flush.  Pocket pair are evil...evil I tell you!

Congrats to Hammer, the first ring winner!  (lucky b*stard, lol)

Re: Season One...

I finished 10th in last night's Master level T.  Hopefully I can break this losing streak with tonight's Silver ring tourney.  I'd like the ring, but I'll be content with top 5.  Congrats to Jason968 on his first tounament win!

I thought they were going to start the leaderboard all over, but I guess they're keeping the same leaderboard.  Which works for me, since I'm still 10th overall.

See you all tonight!

Re: Season One...

For whatever reason, there were no touneys scheduled for Friday or Saturday (You figured that's when they'd get the most players).  So the 1st one of the week was last night @ 11PM.  I played looser than I normally would've since I knew there was no way I could've hung in there until 1:00-1:30, my a$$ would've dragged all day today.  I ended up in 21st...not too bad for not really trying.

I'm still on my losing streak.  Bumped down to 12th overall.  Congrats to XKillemALL for taking 1st.

Tonight's the bronze ring again @ 9PM eastern (yes, I double checked and that is correct).

Re: Season One...

There was some great poker playing last night, let me tell you.  Probably one of the most intense games I can remember.  That's just my opionion, however.  I broke my losing streak last night and came in 2nd, which bumped me up to 6th overall.  SaneAgamer won 1st.  I've never played against him before, but kudos to winning that ring!

Tonight's tourney is just a master level which starts @ 10PM eastern.  See you then.

Re: Season One...

Man oh man, these players are good...or bluff a lot.  Heh heh, just kidding.  Another great game last night.  I ended up 6th.  I was low stacked and got an A 10 (off suit), so I'm all in.  Bannok called and had a 6 8 club suited.  He caught a 5, then a 7, and a 4 on the flop.  Ouch.

Que sara sara, right?

Re: Season One...

Hahaha.  I think I jinxed myself last night.  I logged on about an hour b4 the tourney was to start, to warm up, and I was chatting with Cobrachiever and Zurc.  We were talking about the game and how I was lucky that I hadn't gotten the boot from a tourney lately.  Maybe 15 minutes later this MTT err message popped up and everyone at the table I was at saw the same message.  So I played a few more hands and about 15 minutes before the tourney started I left my room to sign in.  However the opionion to get into the tourney was blacked out.  Really weird.

So, I turned my Xbox off and back on again and I signed into the tourney.  I had about $1200 and 13 minutes into the game I folded my hand, not liking my cards.  Everone played out their hands and as soon as the hand ended I got a "You came in 38th place" message...and I wasn't even in the hand!!!  Craziness.

Anyone else experience something similar?  I'll see you all tonight.

Re: Season One...

I hate the 2 days off thing they're doing.  No game last night, no game tonight (friday night, huh?).  Retarded.  Whatever.

Anyways, i didn't give it, but props to Dloc321 for winning 1st and the silver ring.  I don't know how he managed to stay on when everyone else was getting booted, but he did.  So, kudos.  The tourney only lasted 1 1/2 hrs.

Re: Season One...
I was a no show for Saturday's tourney (I was watching UFC 62) and yesterday I tanked hard.  I was 4th from last (finishing 32nd). I wasn't feeling it mentally and got beat out on cowboys (pocket pair get me all the time it seems).

Re: Season One...

I was a no show for both Monday's and Tuesday's tourneys.  I going through a little bit of burn out w/Stacked.  Not to mention I'm going through some serious personal problems that I need to get resolved (I'm trying not to air my dirty laundry, you know?).  Who knows, maybe I'll be up for Friday's tourney...we'll see.

Well, I'm seperating with my wife.  I've moved out and it'll be a few weeks before I'm up and running on XBL again.

Good luck and get those rings!
