Description:
The #1 World War II Franchise for the Next Generation
ALL-NEW CLOSE-QUARTERS COMBAT: In a new feature for the Call of Duty
series, close-quarters battle mechanics Bring you face-to-face with
your enemy. Fight hand-to-hand, disarm traps, improvise explosive
devices, and execute a host of other battlefield challenges that
require cunning and swift reflexes.
NOWHERE TO HIDE: Environmental physics let you destroy enemies’ soft
cover hideouts, such as wooden walls, barrels and crates—forcing your
foes out in the open. But watch out—they can eliminate your protection
as well.
CHOOSE YOUR PATH TO VICTORY: Flank your opponent, or hit him head on.
Next-generation level design provides multiple attack routes that let
you decide how to confront the enemy. Each choice you make requires you
to use special tactics, from sniping and demolition to straight out
frontal assaults.

UNPRECEDENTED COMBAT OPTIONS:
TEAM-BASED MULTIPLAYER WITH VEHICLES: Intense multiplayer functionality
has been built from the ground up. Up to 24 players can battle it out
as a variety of player classes, including riflemen, infantry, scouts,
and others. Multiple-occupancy vehicles let you coordinate attacks with
friends, driving while they fire a mounted machine gun from the turret.
The game's wide range of vehicles include tanks, jeeps and motorcycles
with sidecars. Execute parachute drops, armored assaults
or SAS commando raids. Riddle battlefields with tank shells and
explosives. Drive tanks to topple barricades and invade enemy
emplacements.

Can I have guests when playing multiplayer on Xbox Live?
Yes, you can have up to 3 guests on live, making it a total of 4 players per console on Xbox Live.
Does Call of Duty 3 support split-screen?
Yes, just like Xbox Live, you can also have 4 players total on local play split-screen.
Can you set up a Private Match in Multiplayer?
Yes. You can set up a Private Match to invite friends, in addition to set the number of players from 2-24.
Can you boot players from a game?
Yes, but not from the lobby. In addition, a player can only be booted from the game by recieving 5 votes from 5 different players in the game. If you are team killed, you are given the option to 'Punish' or 'Forgive'. If you choose to punish, this will vote to kick the player from the game in addition to increase their respawn time.
Once 5 players have chose to 'punish' any given player, they will be booted from the game. This prevents Hosts from abusing their power, and having the ability to boot anyone for any reason or no reason at all. You also have the ability to turn off Friendly Fire.
What are all the online multiplayer gametypes for Call of Duty 3?
Battle Standard Deathmatch. Every man for himselves, the only difference is, no Class Abilities apply. That means Scouts can't call Airstrikes, Medic's can't revive teammates, Support can't drop ammo, etc. Its just all out battle with no special abilities.
Team Battle Standard Team Deathmatch, but unlike standard deathmatch special abilities are in play. All out team based battle with classes and special abilities.
Capture The Flag Standard capture the flag. Each team has one flag, and you get points by capturing the enemy flag and returning it to your base. Whats the catch? You can no longer fire your weapon while carrying the flag, however you can melee attack with it! You can also drop the flag and start fighting with your weapon, then pick it back up. You can use Classes and special abilities in this gametype.
1-Flag Capture The Flag Only 1 neutral flag to capture and its in the center of the map, but theres a catch. You don't return it to your base. You must fight to get it, and then return it to the enemies base! That means fighting through a defensive line, to score a point!! Getting the flag is only half the battle!
War There are five points on the map where flags can be raised. When one area is being captured, both teams must fight to secure that point before moving on to the next location. A constant struggle back and forth over key points on the map, once one team secures all five points, they win! This gametype requires extreme teamwork and communication, and focuses every intense battle in one of five key locations on the map.
Headquarters Strandard Headquarters rules apply, with a few twists. You can now respawn after dying in HQ. Only each time you die, 30 seconds is added to your respawn timer. Making your wait longer and longer. In addition, it only takes 90 seconds to successfully defend an HQ.

What is a 'Rifle Grenade'?
A rifle grenade is a form of grenade that utilizes a rifle as a
launch mechanism to increase the effective range of the grenade. The
idea was first developed in World War I and continues to this day.
This
device is attached and/or inserted into the barrel of a single-shot
rifle, and is used to launch the grenade into the air and/or towards
the enemy. Can you modify which weapons can be used in MP or turn-off vehicles?
There are no modifers in multiplayer which allow weapon or vehicle restrictions.
This would interfer with the Class system which is designed to allow a balanced gameplay for all players, if you restrict certain weapons, certain players / classes would have a greater advantage to others.
In addition, there are currently no Vehicle modifers, however not all maps will have vehicles, due to the fact that certain maps were designed for Infantry only, and others were designed for Vehicles and Infantry in mind.
Can you modify the number of players per match?
Yes. You can set the maximum number of players per match, or search for only matches with a certain restriction.
Any map can be set to 2 , 4, 6, 8, 12, 16, 20, 24 players. No matter how large or small the map is.
Certain maps will have a defaulted number of players when they are selected, based on whats recommended for each map. However, this can be changed by the host.
How does the ranking system work in Call of Duty 3, are there stats?
There are two types of ranking in Call of Duty 3: At
the beginning of the match, everyone starts as Privates, and will have
their rank displayed above their heads. They will earn points during
the match for [kills, capturing flags, returning flags, assisting flag
capture, special tasks]. There are loads of tasks that will get you
different points. As you gain points, you will 'rank-up'. Each new
level in your rank gives you special abilities, such as a Level 3 Scout
[sniper] has more intense artillery air strikes than a Level 1 Scout.
However, this rank resets at the end of the match. Therefore next match everyone starts on a level playing field.
This
is the second type of ranking in Call of Duty 3. The difference here,
is that in Call of Duty 3, you will be able to view your Trueskill
Ranking. This will be affected by your overall gameplay in Ranked
matches. It will be visible in the lobby and in your stats, therefore
you will see it next to your name in the lobby. In addition to all
other players TrueSkill.
Your Trueskill will be affected by your
performance in each ranked match and will raise or drop accordingly.
When you go to a Ranked Match, you will be randomly paired with other
players in the same Trueskill bracket as yourself.
Yes, there are stats. At the end of each match you'll be presented with several pages of stats, including: This will display every players stats, including:
- Kills
- Deaths
- Total [Kills minus Deaths]
Among other details of the match. You will also have a page of personal stats, that show detailed information on your performance during the match.
