General FAQ [By: Fourzerotwo]

Why do some objects have a blue or red glow around them? How do I interact with them?

A blue or red glow around an object signifies that this object can be moved, destroyed, or altered by using the force. As any young Jedi knows, there are two sides to the force, the Jedi's way is Good and is represented by the BLUE glow. The Sith's way is the dark side and is represented by the RED glow.

To interact with one of these objects you will need a character that has the ability to use the force. Sith's who use the dark side of the force can move any force object RED or BLUE. However, Jedi's who use the good side of the force can only interact with objects with a BLUE glow.

Which characters can used the force?

Jedi

Sith
Ben Kenobi

Darth Vader
Luke Skywalker [Jedi]

The Emporer
Yoda

Darth Maul
Ghost Kenobi

Extras FAQ [By: Fourzerotwo]

What are Extras?
Extras are just as they say. Little extra perks that you can unlock several different ways in the game. For many of the extras, you must first find the secret 'power brick' in the one of the levels which unlocks it. Once its unlocked, you can purchase it from the Cantina.

How do I access my Extras?
  • Hit Start.
  • Select Extras.
  • Toggle on/off the Extras you'd like to use.
Can I still get achievements / rewards with Extras on?
Thats a great question, but tricky. You can still play through story mode and collect studs, mini-kit canisters, power bricks, and anything else with Extras turned on. You will still get your achievements for beating Chapters and game progression. However, the only Achievements you cannot get with extras turned on is the 'Undefeated' achievement for beating levels without dying.

What are the extras and what do they do?

Tow Deathstar:
This will transform the Torpedo in the Vehicle levels to a tiny Deathstar. When using a vehicle with a towing cable [i.e. Snowspeeder on Hoth] you will be able to tow the Deathstar behind you, and release it. Sending it flying into enemies and exploding. This is especially awesome on Hoth, once you trip the AT-AT Imperial Walkers. Tow this up and let it loose into the cockpit to make it explode!

Chewbacca w/ C-3PO on back:
Just as it sounds folk. This turns Chewbacca into Chewbacca with half of C-3PO on his back. Just like on Cloud City. No real purpose, just fun to see.

Daisy Chains:
This will turn your grappling hook chain into Daisy flowers. No additional perks here.

Disguise:
This will give you the disguise of Fake glasses and nose. Which will help you avoid fighting some enemies in addition to looking hilarious. You silly dog you.

Invincibility:
Just as it says. You will be invincible to all attacks. Even if you fall down a hole or off a ledge, you will die, but no LEGO studs will fall out.

Fertilizer:
This will enable Fertilizer LEGOs in the game which can be planted with the force and release LEGO studs.

2x Multiplayer:
2x Stud count.

4x Multiplayer:
4x Stud count.

6x Multiplayer:
6x Stud count

8x Multiplayer:
8x Stud count.

10x Multiplayer:
10x Stud count

Super Blaster:
Increases the power of blaster shots.

Super Zapper:
Increases the power of the droid zapper [jawa].

Fast Build:
Allows you to build faster.

Fast Force:
Allows you to use the force faster.

Super Lightsaber:
Increases the power of lightsabers.

Mini-kit Detector:
Guides you to near-by mini-kits with an arrow.

Regenerate Hearts:
Allows the ability to regenerate health.

Self-Destruct:
Allows the ability to self-destruct.

Tractor Beam:
Allows you to pull objects towards you when flying in a vehicle. Traps the enemy vehicle behind you.

Unlimited Torpedos:
Allows limitless torpedo rounds in vehicle levels.

Bounty Hunter Rockets:
Press 'Y' to shoot a rocket from a bounty hunter characters back.

Multipliers FAQ [By: Recster]

What are Multipliers?

They are "extras" you can unlock by finding special orange bricks in several levels.  The catch is that they are extremely expensive.  They can be found in the following chapters:

2x - Episode IV, Chapter 6: Rebel Attack

4x - Episode V, Chapter 3: Falcon Flight

6x - Episode V, Chapter 6: Betrayal Over Bespin

8x - Episode VI, Chapter 3: Speeder Showdown

10x - Episode VI, Chapter 6: Into the Death Star

For directions to these bricks consult the guide at:

Should I Save Up For The 4x Multiplier Before Buying The 2x Multiplier?

I have seen a number of questions/posts mentioning saving for the 4x multiplier before getting the 2x multiplier.  This is a waste of time!  See the analysis below:

You are better off obtaining the multipliers in progression.  The 2x multiplier costs 2,000,000 and the 4x multiplier is 6,000,000 studs.  Here is a comparison of waiting for the 4x versus getting the 2x first:

Option 1 - 2x, then 4x:

2,000,000 for the 2x multiplier

+ 3,000,000 (6 million / 2 using the 2x multiplier) for the 4x multiplier

= 5,000,000 total "earned" studs for both the 2x and 4x multiplier.

Option 2 - 4x first, then 2x:

6,000,000 for the 4x multiplier

+ 500,000 (2 mil / 4 using the 4x mutplier) for the 2x multiplier

= 6,500,000 total "earned" studs for both the 2x and 4x multiplier

Therefore, it is much more efficient to get the 2x multiplier rather than saving up for the 4x first.

Do Multipliers Stack?

Yes they do!  So if you turn on both the 2x and 4x multiplier, you get 8x.  Cool!

Also, double score zones will then provide 16x in this example.

Saving up for 6x, 8x, and 10x become much easier once you get the 2x & 4x and use them together.   Things get really crazy when you stack three or more at a time.

Where is the Best/Fastest Place To Get Studs?

JMHO, but just redo Mos Eisley (Episode 4 Chapter 3) in Free Play.  Make sure to go into the theater (2x bonus zone) using R2.  Plant the flowers in the dewback area and use the force on them for quick points.  Blow up several canisters & LEGO pieces at once using double jump atack with a Jedi, etc.  Get Fast Force and Fast Build to save time.  Average at least 200,000 per run times whatever multiplier you have.   Note:  To save gobs of time, don't worry about getting each and every last piece.  Concentrate on the high density stud areas and you will be better off, and less bored as well.

Also, everytime in between missions, just go outside and blow up all the canisters (and metal objects if you have a bounty hunter).  Easy ~25,000 times your multiplier for two minute's time.

Why Can't I Use the Multipliers in Minikit Bonus and Character Bonus?

I admit it, I initially struggled with these at first.  And I was PO'ed when I found out that you cannot use multipliers after I saved 2,000,000 freaking studs for my first one - 2x of course - see above!  ;)

You can use other extras (invincibility, etc.).  Use Greedo for the character bonus and blow up the shiny metal objects for big points.  Blow up the rails as you run between areas.  The Super Blaster extra helps here immensely.

For the Minikit Bonus, I disagree with the guide on mycheats.com.  I use a Y-wing with the tractor beam extra.  It is very difficult to die this way, and the Y-wing provides a good speed/control balance which is critical in these stages.  Just camp the "killed by torpedo" objects (shield generators I think) and blow up everything surrounding them while you wait for them to spawn again.  Rinse and repeat.  On the Endor minikit mission, I just go back and forth between two areas killing everything in between.  I did not have infinite torpedoes when I passed these missions, but I suppose this would help, too.  Also, YOU DO NOT HAVE TO PICK UP EVERYTHING.  Just make sure you get the purple (10k), most of the blue (1k), and several of the gold (100) as convenient, and all should go smoothly.

[Note: If you have your own FAQ for the game, please let me know and I will add it to this thread. Thanks!]
