Good looking out JWspeed.  Good looking out for everyone on here with the temp testing you've been doing.  I can't wait for my refurb to die.  LOL!!! Yeah I will pick up the TS model.  I have the EX on my refurb right now.  Once my refurb dies hopefully it will last me a year, by then Jaspers will be plentiful.  Next system no doubt will be HDMI.  Once I get that I will be upgrading to a Pioneer HDMI Switching A/V Receiver.  Then my Directv and 360 will be running 1080p 24hz!!!

I thought the 360 only supported up to 720p resolution or am i mistaken?

My Samsung LED DLP actually runs 1080p@60hz without HDMI and using component.  If I had it connected HDMI though I could do 1080p@24hz which I will do when I get a jasper/valhalla a year or so down the road.  Also want to get a new A/V reciever.

Ahh ok well i was just curious i picked up a 42 inch LG 720p this black friday, did my homework and its a heck of a set, now im just stuck waiting for my damn wall mount to come in, then i can schedule for my direct t.v. to come and install everything.

Now for the xbox, my tv supports 720p and 1080i is their a big diffrence between the two? I have it set to 720p and im in awe, i used to play on about a 22inch sony tube t.v. and yes im using the HDMI connection my TV came with 3 HDMI slots...crazy fun...anyways any help is appreciated im waiting a month or two before i get the t.v. calibrated per reading the forums.

--Sigon

P.S. no jasper's yet in Miami,FL i got 3 friends who work at best buys and we sometimes go in afterhours and just rummage...i think i moved over 500 xbox's last night...not a single jasper.

Re: How to find a full 65nm Jasper console…
Just came back from the store with 2 arcade units from 2 different stores.

Console 1- Team FDOU, Falcon, LOT 842X
Console 2- team CSON, Jasper, Lot 842X

Long story short, you need 843X from FDOU for a jasper, 842X from CSON for a jasper.

Just a heads up for you jasper hunters.

Its a jasper with a falcon brick.  They must have changed to the jaspers between 10/12/08(my FDOU Manufacture date) and 10-17-08(your manufacture date).

so it is the 12.1amps that solidifies this ? also, is it not better to have the 175w(max) brick just in case the console needs a little more headroom ? and finally, should I keep this or return it once the 0844's and higher roll in ?

Yes, Jasper motherboards are in ALL models of 360.. It's just a question of when they'll be on store shelves. The old stock has to clear before you will see them though.

I would say for relative certainty anything mfg after 10-23-2008 would likely be a Jasper.

Re: PLEASE HELP !!
Great ! :)

So I have to check the slip of the box, look for 12.1 A on +12 V for a quick hint that it may be Jasper, then flip the box and look for the code, take note of the manufacture date according to the serial that has 843-- or more, and team FDOU right ?

Is the serial number on the box itself or under the slip that you can uncover ??

Does someone have a picture of the slip that can show all this, like where can I find the serial number and the 12.1A clarifcation ? So I can go directly and check it instead of flipping the box 34000349 times :)

There's only one hole on the box that will show you the back of the console, so no need to flip it around. But if it says 12.1A, then it is 100% a Jasper, no guessing needed. Even if the manf. date or team doesn't match what I have in the guide, the 12.1A guarantees it.

That actually surprises me a lot. Dubai to me seems like an electronics capital of sorts, and for it to be PAL is odd. NTSC certainly seems to be what is used in big electronics countries.

Agreed.
When you remove the HDD on Falcon, it will display no MU/HDD something of the sort (or just a blank screen IIRC). It'll be interesting to find if Jasper "hides" (through hard firmware) this item when a HDD is installed or thereafter.
Took my hard drive off of my pro jasper...went to memory and nothing there. Hope that answers your question.

Re: How to find a full 65nm Jasper console…
For all of you in the San Francisco Bay Area, I just picked up an arcade system at the Best Buy in Dublin:

Manufacture date: 10/24/08 (my birthday)
TEAM: FDOU
Lot # 0843
12.1 A

I haven't opened it yet to verify if I got a 150W or 175W PSU, but I think it checks out as a jasper.

Thanks for the info, RocknRoar. That's a bummer that internal flash is not there/unrecognized for Pro's. Anybody attached a hard drive to an Arcade Jasper? The internal memory doesn't all of a sudden become disabled, does it?

I can already guarantee to you, you won't get a Jasper back from the repair center. You'll probably going to get your console back but repaired, or a refurb (could be anything from an Opus to one of those good launch motherboard lol)

Either way, good luck on your repair.

Yeah i know :( Its strangely annoying ..
I believe one of the reasons is that many people from the UK visit Dubai, and they're used to PAL :P So they're marketing what has a higher demand .. meh

I still cant confirm a jasper in Dubai though, either systems ..

I just want to second that. There is absolutely no possibility that the MS service centers have Jasper consoles at this point. It will be months before anyone gets a Jasper back from MS under warranty service.

It is:
Team: FDOU
Lot #: 0843x
Manufacture Date: 10/23/08
Power Supply: 175W

Swore I read earlier that it's possible it can be a Jasper with the Falcon power supply. Or maybe it was a question if it was possible.

Its possible but i wouldn't know.  Its kinda pointing away towards a jasper but if you have a 12.1 with a falcon power supply its no doubt a jasper.  But right now i think its a falcon
