- Icons
- What are icons?
- Icons are little badges that can be awarded to a user in order to signify their positive participation in the forums. You can have up to a maximum of six icons, and they are displayed under the Gamercard in every post.
- How do I get an icon?
- All you need to do to get an icon is contribute positively to the forum community. Moderators and MVPs will take notice and request the icon be added to your user profile accordingly. Keep in mind you will have to help in the specific areas that icons are awarded, as seen in the link for the next question.

- Where are the icons I was promised?
- If you have been promised an icon you shouldn’t have to worry about getting it. For example, the Xbox Ambassador icon is still being issued and the Xbox Live beta icon still hasn’t been given out yet. If you were promised an icon a long time ago, try private messaging a moderator or MVP and they should be able to get to the bottom of it for you.
- User Rankings
- What is the Community User Level?
- The Community User Level (CUL) of a user is another way to signify a user’s participation in the forums. The various number levels are used to attribute regular users on a scale of 0 to 9 (zero being the lowest, nine being the highest) based on their forum contributions. The initial number given to a new user is 1. Letters are used to signify specific types of users, such as Moderators, MVPs, or Xbox staff.
- How is Community User Level calculated?
- Community User Level is calculated using a variety of different data points stored by the forums. These data points accumulate, and as time goes by and a user continues contributing to the forums they are awarded with a higher Community User Level. Some of the data points are quite easy to guess (such as the total number of posts a user has accumulated), but others can outweigh these obvious data points. Moderators, MVPs, and Xbox staff also have a way to increase a user’s Community User Level (or not always increase the Community User Level, but decrease the amount of time it will take to go to the next level), as well as decrease the Community User Level.
