Re: When Was the Last Update?
The music track labeling software isn't dependant on updates and/or Xbox live,  Normally artists who spend time and a bit of cash to have a enhanced cd for their music already have the names in a code on the cd itself!  Trust me I brought Delirious's (A christian band from the UK) new album just relised a few weeks ago was a enhanced cd and music mixer picked up on the names of the tracks.  Oh and before you run out to buy a keyboard for the reason on thinkng it would be quicker naming them trust me its not at all!

Re: When Was the Last Update?
I found a way around it though.  I just burn the CD to my PC & then import to my Xbox using the Music Mixer, labeled & all.  But why does my PC label the tracks everytime, but not the Music MixerConfused [*-)] ?

Re: When Was the Last Update?

Its kind of the same technique,  Your computer is far more advance than the xbox becuase of the applications it has,  Also windows media player,  Music match and most programs that are to play music files normally check the internet and match up the track list and copy that list to give you the names it needs for the tracks.  Oh to the wonders of the internet!  I use the same technique at the moment using my pc to copy and transfere my music to the Xbox

You may be thinking that your Xbox is connected to live and why doesn't music mixer look up on live for the track names,  thats because of a few reasons,  Music mixer is not smart enough to look on the net for the tracks also there is a very big charge normally come with this software.....hense they didn't put it in to keep the price down!

Oye!  I noticed the 360 doesn't label new music either (like music released after the system's launch).
Now put THAT in your pipe and smoke it!

You have to be connected to Xbox Live for the CD info to appear

Obscure or new releases aren't likely to be available until they are entered into the system.  Also mix cds won't provide artist info either

Re: When Was the Last Update?
The music mixer's manual said there would be regular updates for this situation, but I guess that came to an endSad [:(]  The 360 should have it's album info updated every week since that's how often new releases come out, but I understand not having info for custom/mixed CDs.  Maybe I'll suggest it.  I don't think that's asking too much for a console that has such great music features.

The info is ON the cd. If it is a burned cd, it wont likely have info on it unless you have a burning program with that feature.
