I am thinking to move up north.... northwest to be specific... I am tired of the desert.. too darn hot... any suggestions? Plus the job market has to be okay....

As for Fallout 3 i think anybody who plays this game is going to dive right into the Fallout universe (except Ethan)  in fact i'm ove 76 hours into my adventure (about A 4 month period) and i know people who have played even more than me (my dad, lol) overall it's a gigantic game full of quests, mutants, secrets, weapons,DLC (4 right now,1 more to come) and plus it's from the dedicated makers of The Elder Scrolls:Oblivion.

Got all achievements in Wolverine!!!WOOOHBig Smile [:D]Geeked [8-|]Music [8]Surprise [:O]Angel [A]Cool [H]!!
But it just so happens (thanks to raptr) it has taken me over 16 hours to get 1000G.........But it was oh so saisfying to find all the dog tags in the game and to finally raise all my combat reflexes to master level.

Need a new gamerpic so anybody who can tell me of a new one i wold greatly appreciate that.

I struggled to get into Fallout 3 when I first played it not sure why. I will give it another chance.

When I first played Fallout 3, I couldn't get into it either. I then realized my 360 automatically set the difficulty to the max. When I realized this and turned it down to normal, the game was a blast. If you don't use any online resources it's doubtful that you would find all the random encounters and random quests out in the middle of nowhere, that's just how big the game is.

The achievements are pretty straightforward and easy but they are fun to go for. I do wish the bobble heads had been hidden a little better. You seem to stumble across all of them during the main quests.

awwww...it's not so bad... i played it about 6 times and I still have my wits about me... lol... My daughter borrowed a copy of fallout 3 and I have yet to play it... I am afraid I will "dive" right into like Mass Effect, then have to give it back... I will wait to play when I get my own copy..

I do plan on giving it a couple more tries before considering giving it up so we'll see.  Seeing as this was my first RPG game, I'm thinking I should've started with something else, perhaps 'Oblivion'.
Have you considered moving up Northeast instead?  I know, living here, the job market is pretty good up here.  I have a friend who travels from Washington (grandkids there) to Connecticut to work here, and he's told me that the job market in Washington is crummy out there.

I've gone back and forth a few times.  I've played through Mass Effect two or three times with other games in between.  And same with Fallout 3.  The games won't go anywhere so you have plenty of time.  Big Smile [:D]

As far as Mass Affect I need to get back to playing it for some of those pesky achievements.

As far as Fallout 3, I'm waiting for the game of the year addition that's coming out later this year. It'll be full price but all of the DLC will be included in it.

Hooked up the wireless Guitar Hero World Tour intrument bundle (that I got for 1.2 price brand spanking new, woot! woot!) last night. The wife and kids played. Thank God for the beginner mode (GHWT), the kids just couldn't do the easy setting (so they can't play RB). Also, these instruments work for Rock Bank 2 (Unreal Butcher, I downloaded the Iron Maiden DLC, sweet! Stick out tongue [:P]). Okay, noob question related to Guitar Hero and Rock Band. I noticed there's a bunch of songs that are listed as coming with the game but not available to play. Do I have to play through career mode or something to unlock those songs. I mean it's a lot of songs that don't show on the play list. Like I said noob, please reply if you know the answer.

As far as your last question relating to the locked Rock Band and Guitar Hero songs, you have to progress through the career to unlock the songs.

NOOB!!! lol j/k.....there's quite a bit of good DLC for GHWT too.  Personally, I think I downloaded the Classic Rock pack myself, not sure though.  All I know is that my 2 or 3 of my fav songs to play on that game came out of the DLC ("Jessie's Girl" - Rick Springfield, "Rock & Roll Band" - Boston, "Fat Bottomed Girls" - Queen) Yes [Y]

Question for you oldtimer (or for anyone who has/has played both RB2 and GHWT): is it worth it to get both games?  I have GHWT, but from what I've heard both main setlists are pretty much the same.  So is it worth it to get at least a used copy of RB2?  Is the DLC extensive enough/worth it too?

There are a few songs that both games have. Still worth it to get. Rock Band 2 offers way more DLC right now. Go under market place and check it out. They have over 600 dlc to choose from compared to 160 for GHWT. That alone makes it worth the pick up for us.

Thanks for the reply guys. I thought going through career mode was the key, just wanted to be sure.

I already have FO3 on 360, but will probably pick it up on PC when they come out with a GotY edition.

I also downloaded the IRON MAIDEN DLC. Couple songs in there that are visious on the Bass.

On the home front things aren't well. Oldest boy, who had failing grades going into last summer and was grounded for 6 weeks (length summer school would be if school had sent him), has had about half his grades failing each term (Freshman year) had to do summer school if he wanted to not get held back.

My Wife decided rather then ground him this time he could stay out each day (M-Th) after school until 5. He needed to do his chores without being told and have his cell and could stay out a couple nights on the weekend if the week went well (which she still let's him go to friends even if not a good week, which is everyweek). I already apposed this as I thought the punishment should be stricter the second time.

Anyway, Saturday he was told to be home on his own by 7pm. She bought him a Summer bus pass and he had already stayed out Thursday and Friday night. He called her a 6:30 telling her he was at a movie with his GF and her Mom and said he didn't know how he was getting home (last bus here is at 7pm). He called her telling her he wouldn't be home Sunday if his GF couldn't come over for his Brothers party. Oh, did I tell you he got kicked out of the care on my youngest daughters Bday (went to BBQ after with a friend and expected us to pick him up), broke our windshield in December, wasn't here for Fathers Day, and this weekend was my youngest sons 6th Bday.

So after I found out that he was supposed to be home at 7pm Saturday and was telling my Wife what was up and what was going to happen I suspended his phone. He then started texting me on his friends phone, telling me how he hates us both and is going to get immancipated in September on his 16th Bday. So he did end up coming home yesterday, I'm guessing because he wanted to find out when his phone would be unsuspended. She asked my thoughts on how long I said I don't know, never. She said 2 weeks and I said, "BS." I can't just ignore what's happened, I our oldest daughter after having a bad term at school hasn't been able to go to friends or have her phone all summer so far. It's sickening and I don't know if we'll be together much longer.

Oh, and he left to a friends last night to stay forever.

Sorry, about the drama. Just having a sucky time and tired about mine and my other kids happiness revolving around his happiness.

Honestly... why bother?

A lot to say my friend. It really sounds like he needs to be set free. If he wants to go, let him. He has proven time and time again that he does not want to grow up. He thinks he's grown up so let him go in to the real world. He needs some hard knocks. The Mrs. needs to stop coddling him. I know it's hard for a mother to let go, but in this case it's necessary. He is obviously very bitter over the fact that his mom isn't together with his dad (I hope I'm remembering correctly in that you are his step-dad). All of his problems, attitude's and otherwise can be traced back to the fact that his real dad isn't there being a real dad. He's mad. You will never be able to live up to what he wants.

Cooler heads always prevail. Have a calm talk with Mrs. about this fact (the dad thing). She needs to let him go. He needs to be away from both of you. He needs to do some serious growing up and soul searching. It will take many years, probably hardly seeing him at all, for him to grow up. But he has to do this his own way. The sad reality is he may never get over this. But that's up to him in the end, he just has to realize it. Good luck my friend. We all have our battles in life. It's just for some of us it's more like a war.

Thanks my friend. Unfortunately I've dealt with or helped to deal with these situations many times before. Working in youth ministries as long as I have you've seen and dealt with just about everything you can think of. Unfortunately, that is usually the end result of things.

Congrats on Wolverine. I'm close myself. Having trouble finding the last 2 DT's I missed. Tried guides can't figure out which ones I missed. After I finish maxing out my stats for those achievements I'll replay it on hard mode and try to get all the tags with a guide if I don't figure it out. If that doesn't work, I'll try again on easy.

Mo Moss, I'm not sure if you missed it. Thriller is listed for 160ms points on the market place as of today.

Just finished Terminator Salvation.Got all the 11 achievements.pretty easy (and extremely short) game.Decent gameplay, pretty straightforward story, not alot of weapons or enemy types but it was enjoyable for what it was.

Now it's time to start another game.Don't know what, but i have alot to choose from. C0D:WAW,Mass Effect,The Darkness. Lot's of good titles but i want to pick the "right" one.

My "old school" 360 game craze has continued.  I picked up Dead Rising on the cheap today and plan to spend a little time with it before vacation on Wednesday.

I just finished dead rising last week. enjoyed it for a while but it gets dull quick. #

On my "Old skool" blitz im playing Pure. which is really really underrated IMO. this game is great & a really enjoyable arcade racer. Higly recommend it for a budget purchase.

But it just so happens (thanks to raptr) it has taken me over 16 hours to get 1000G.........But it was oh so saisfying to find all the dog tags in the game and to finally raise all my combat reflexes to master level.

Need a new gamerpic so anybody who can tell me of a new one i wold greatly appreciate that.

.

I also think you made a wise choice on your new gamerpic.

.

Well,i was browsing through the gamerpic section today and saw they had some T2 pictures and then i remembered how i've always loved your gamerpic so i thought,"Why not?"

Have fun with Dead Rising,i've tried to play it but i just can't deal with the less than good saving-system.It just ruined the game whenever i died.

Just popping in to say hello.  I don't really know a lot of you since I haven't posted as much in here in such a long time.  I'm a little out of touch, Worms 2 this Wednesday?  anyone picking that up?

I suck at the first one so unless I happen to get a code in my email, I doubt I will pick it up.

I don't feel qualified to talk since i'm not a dad but oldtimer, that was a great post and that's exacly what my dad had to tell my mom about my sister. It was hard but it's slowly getting better.

1000G in Wolverine people! woot! i am so happy! those reflexes were a pain but after replaying the same level over and over i finally got that last achievement.

Now it's Mass Effect or Terminator:Salvation....

Thanks! Good luck and the last 2 DT's. i missed 1 but i turned out to be on a ledge on chapter 5.1

*Sigh*  I have no idea what DT's are; first thing that comes to mind is defensive tackles (sorry, CFB on the brain lol).  Anywho, get Mass Effect.  COD:WaW cheevos are pretty easy IF you don't get frustrated easily and can put up with HUGE amounts of nade spamming on veteran difficulty.  MP is a joke compared to COD4 imo, although it does have those 2 DLC map packs; I sold my game way before they were released though, so idk how the play.  The Darkness is OK, played it once at a friends house, the only problem is that to get some of the cheevos you have to amass a certain number of kills with each power (?).  So you have to force yourself to switch and change, otherwise you will end up with a fav power and have to go back through the game to get the other cheevos.  That being said, go with Mass Effect: deep game, lots of fun, just overall epic win. Ok, this is going to get me excommunicated but, I bought Too Human a while ago and just started playing it recently and I have to say that I am really enjoying it. I think it's really good. I'm not sure why everyone was hating on it but I like it. I almost didn't get it because of the negative reviews and forum posts but I'm glad I did. It was well worth it. Any comments?

I think it was because the game was hyped up and talked about for almost two years before it ever came out. I think people were simply just expecting way more from the game. To be honest I never checked it out for the same reason. But, I guess it's worth a shot as a rental. I'm glad you're enjoying it.
