Spinter Cell: Double Agent Stealth Guide (version 1.0)

This walkthrough is done on the hard difficulty setting with the goal being minimal use of weapons, minimizing KO’s and kills.  The goal is essentially 100% stealth on all levels. Before you read any further, please beware that there may be spoilers in this.

Undercover guidelines (starts on mission 3):

1)      All objectives are optional but failure to complete them may cause a loss in trust

2)      You have a limited timeframe in which to choose and complete your objectives

3)      Always return to the location of a given JBA task before the time limit runs out

4)      Restricted areas are protected by high security locks that you will have to open

5)      Any suspicious action detected by the JBA will cause a loss in their trust

 

Mission 1:  Iceland

NSA Objective 1: Investigate geothermal plant

NSA Objective 2: Prevent missile launch

NSA Objective 3: Escape in 60 seconds

Secondary NSA objective 1:   Infiltrate plant undetected

Secondary NSA objective 2:  Infiltrate base undetected

The cut scene in the V-22 should get you thinking that someone is about to die on the mission.  It’s either you, the grizzled veteran, or the new dork on the mission.  It should be pretty obvious.  Anyway, you get control of Sam in the Osprey and you get to jump out and into the cold water.

Swim under water towards the red light in the upper left.  Swim through the ducts and into a more open water area.  Your newbie partner will take care of 1 guard above.  That leaves one more.  If you kill this guard, you will receive a stealth penalty.  So let’s avoid that.  First, find the ice to break parallel to your partner’s hole.  This will create a diversion.  Once cut, go back to your partner’s hole and climb out, making sure the guard is investigating your new hole.  He will be on patrol with flares, so be careful.

Head towards the building with the bright light, but don’t use your EMP on that light.  Instead, turn around and you will see a floodlight above the area.  Use your EMP on that light to distract the patrol outside.  Then head up the stairs and open the door.  One guard is asleep here and as long as you are quiet, you won’t wake him.  There is a sonic grenade to the left once you enter.  Continue to the laptop and you should get some good info on how to disable the electric fence that pretty boy is complaining about.

Head towards the wall to the right of the laptop and use your knife to cut the power.  Head back out and meet pretty boy at about the middle of the electric fence.  You will automatically toss him up and over.  Now you have to join him.  Climb up and over the fence and find the ladder to the left (red lights).  Once you are up, jump and grab the zipline.

This completes the first objective: get in undetected.  You will get a checkpoint here.  Pretty boy is on the roof and has his own objective.  You’ve got other business.  Head towards the walkway to the right and follow the patrol guard but head down the stairs in the dark.  Continue down until you can hear two more guards *** about the cold.  Wait for the close guard to go on patrol past the stairs.  Head down and follow him on his pattern.  Pause in the upper left corner and you’ll see an option to open the door.

Wait for the patrol to pass you again and then open the door.  One guard is in here and you can sneak up and use the laptop without fear, as long as you are quiet.  Open the gate and head back out and close the door behind you.  Again, wait for the guard to pass you as he is heading away from the stairs you came from.  Head back to the stairs and go up one flight.  Take out the EMP and use it on the two floodlights near the now open gate.  This creates cover for you.  Use it to sneak into the once blocked off area and head straight.

You will see a ladder that is conveniently lit up with red lights.  Go up the ladder and to the next area.  Lambert will tell you that pretty boy stopped the ventilation system for you and then pretty boy will do something very, very stupid.

Anyway, you will see a bunch of stairs and a guard with a flashlight coming down.  Head to the right and wait for him to pass.  Take out the EMP and use it on the swinging light.  Again, use the cover of darkness to move up the stairs.  At the top towards the fan you will get your next checkpoint.

Once you get into the plant, you will see that pretty boy really has no clue when it comes to stealth.  Think of him as your dumb partner who gets killed or gets you killed.  Anyway, once you are hanging from the ledge, head to the left until you can climb up on the gang plank.

You have seven minutes to get to the missile before it launches.  Once you are on the gangplank, find the stairs down that are on your right.  Use the crane and head back up where you came from.  Use the EMP on the light at the far end and head towards it and climb up the pipe.  You can now make your way to the missile.  When you are directly over it, you get the opportunity to use your winch.

Drop down, but beware of the technician who will pause for about a minute right where you need to be.  When he moves, drop down and hack the computer.  This completes the objectives, save for escape.  To the right of the computer/missile you hacked, you will find a ladder up.  Use it and wait at the top for the rope to drop down.  Climb it and you complete the mission.

Note: there is a camera that overlooks the missile computer access, you can see its view from the laptop on the level below this.  I have not been able to locate this camera.  It will not sound the alarm until after you hack the computer.  You can climb up and down the ladder all you want and not get detected until you touch the missile.  Wave vision cannot locate the camera either.  Anyone have an idea where the camera is?

Mission 2: Ellsworth Prison

You start out in a cell and you’ll get some goodies from your new best friend forever.  Once you have the goods, go to the wall with the poster.  You will have the interaction to rip the poster down.  Climb through the hole and into the next room.

Once you are in this room, find the air duct on the right.  Climb through and you’ll be above one of the prison floors.  Head to the left on the gangplank towards the red light.  Use your knife to cut open the duct and climb through.

Head to the opposite side of the room and flip open the hatch.  Drop down, don’t worry because you will be in darkness.  You can get the access codes from the laptop near you that works on all doors.  This will save you quite some time.  You can go now go pick up some smoke grenades (always a good idea) from the locked room in the area.

Now watch the pattern of the guard.  When he heads back towards the consoles from looking out the window, head to the right. Put your back to the wall in the corner near the locked door.  You’ll have to do this in two steps.  When it is clear (guard heading back to consoles), pick the lock.  Hide again and wait.  Open the door when the guard heads back to the consoles AND the guard that periodically checks the next area is away.

Head through and take a left down the stairs.  You will now be able to open another door that leads to a security/metal detector.  One guard is in this area on patrol.  When he heads away, go to the right and cut the power.  Head towards the security detector and hide in the corner.  Wait for the guard to enter and then head through and to the left.  Switch the light off on the right wall and continue towards the door.

Pick the lock and enter.  You’ll be in the middle of a firefight now, but don’t worry.  There is plenty of dark cover along the edge of the room (head to the right).  At the corner, you’ll see the food/kitchen area.  Hop over the ledge and into the dark, hop over the next ledge.  Equip a smoke grenade and aim for the pillar near the lighted room.  Wait and then head through the smoke.  Don’t go up the stairs, but instead stay on the ground level and get to the open door.  This will get you a checkpoint.

One guard in this area who patrols with a flashlight.  Follow him back up the short stairs and stick to the wall on the left.  Wait for him to pass and continue around the room to the door.  Pick the lock quickly and enter.  There is one guard above you who will freak out at just about everything.  Ignore the laptop here.  You can sneak by him by sticking to the wall and then slowly pop out and go up the stairs.  If you knock him out, it’s a five point deduction on stealth.  [Note: if you are feeling a little uneasy about sneaking by him, you can always use the remaining smoke grenades to create cover for your journey up the stairs]

Head up the stairs and around you will now see another laptop.  Hack in and open the doors to the cells to complete an objective.  Continue and go up the stairs and hack into the elevator.  Ride up and then go left into the darkness.  You will now see a broken glass area with a convenient pipe outside.  Climb up and you’ll hear Jamie radio you with some “news.”  Head up and pull yourself up.  Quickly get to the other side via the small beam.  Find the open/shattered glass and go through.  You will see Jamie and his new BFF taking a stroll.  Sneak up and KO the guard (this won’t count against you).  Now you have to hijack the news copter.  As soon as the guard drops, run to the left and down the stairs.  Find the ducts on the building and start climbing/jumping like your name was Mario.  Once you are on the roof, the mission ends.

Mission 3: JBA Headquarters, NYC

Start out by following BFF Jaime and he’ll take you to your quarters.  Next up is “Moose”…just follow him and he’ll take you to the safe cracking exercise.  He will conveniently tell you that he expects you to complete the training course by cracking the safe and he expects you to be done with it and there waiting for him to return.  Sounds like an opportunity, doesn’t it?  You have 25 minutes.

I think the best bet is to complete the safe cracking training as fast as possible and then get to your NSA objectives.  Also note that the only equipment you have is the ultrasonic emitter.  It’s a gun shaped device that shoots a sound-emitting transceiver for the purposes of distracting enemy observers.  You have it for a reason, so remember that.

Anyway, let’s get started on the obstacle course.  It’s a pretty simple course that has you jumping, crawling, ducking, from laser trip wires with a few ropes thrown in for fun.  Head through the now open door and take a left down the hall and then turn right.  You will now see some lasers.  Duck down and pause at the next set.  Wait for them to disappear and then go through.  Take a left and then pick the lock.  Watch the pattern of the next lasers and then pass through when safe.  Take a right and then go up the ladder.  Put your back to the wall and head to the other side until you get the rappel option.  Drop all the way down and then crouch and go through the window.

Now, head to the right in a crouch and go through the narrow passage.  Take a left and drop down and find the rope.  Climb all the way up and then rappel down the opposite side and be careful of the moving laser trip wires.  Once you are down, turn right and then recon the area.  You can’t jump up because there is a laser trip wire here.  Going under presents an opportunity, there is a break in the middle of the area so you can follow the moving laser halfway and pull yourself up and drop down the opposite side when safe.  Head left and watch the pattern of the laser.  You will have to follow it and drop down and let it pass over you to get to the other side.  Take a right and go up the stairs, there’s the safe!  Now you just have to crack it.

You have to line up all three tumblers to unlock the safe.  You will have to treat this just like a master lock, left, right, left until you get all greens.  This should leave you with just about 21 minutes to do your dirty work for the NSA.  Head through the fire door and then up the ladder.

Now, let’s get to the roof for the bug part of the NSA objective.  Head out of the training area by turning left down the corridor and then take a right past the medical area.  You will see a ladder on the wall in front of you.  Climb up and make an L-pattern around the room, but don’t approach the two guys working on a fan yet.  Your goal is the open fan area just behind them.  Luckily, you have a tool to distract them to get into that area because you can’t just go around sneaking around.  Get to the pillar just past the corner and then aim the emitter in the next section to the left of the workers.  When both move, you move into the open and dark fan area.  Find the ladder and climb up to the roof.

Be careful as your reach the top of the ladder as there is one guard with binoculars scanning the area.  Use the camera to your advantage and make sure it is safe to go up.  The binocular guard will have a pattern, go left and pause, go right and pause.  Pull yourself up on his right and pause motion.  Head to the right and pause behind the big boxes here.  There is one more guard up here with you on patrol.  Your goal is the upper left and through an open metal gate.

If you have timed this correctly, the patrol should just be leaving the big box near you.  Follow him but stay to the left and notice the boxes on the left.  Put your back to the boxes and wait until it is clear to move again.  When he pauses and turns right, that’s your cue to go straight and turn left into the antenna area.

Keep going to the back and find the locked access panel on the antenna.  Pick the lock and place your bug (a simple timed hack with no input from you).  Your reward is a checkpoint.  Now the hard part, you have to get back down without being seen.

Wait for the patrol to return and then follow him around the roof.  Just make an L-pattern around and go around the big boxes near where you entered.  If your timing is good, the binocular guard will be scanning.  Quietly head to the ladder and go down.  You should have just under 17 minutes left.

The trick with getting out undetected here is to pull out the emitter.  Don’t use it, just walk slowly out and turn left.  The emitter helps you walk a bit more slowly.  You might make a little too much noise, but you should be able to get clear without going in the red.  If you go in the red, you are detected.  So if that happens, reload and try again.  Make your way back to the ladder and go down.  Now, off to the server room.  Head straight and take a right and find the stairs that lead down to the open area.

Continue straight and into the dark area.  The well lit gate with a keypad, that’s where you’ve got to get to without being spotted.  Good thing there’s a light switch to conceal you for a bit.  Be careful of the guy working in the area to the left of the keypad. 

Switch off the light and hack the keypad and enter the area.  Head straight towards the box and look to the left.  You’ll notice a camera above the door.  Good thing there is a pipe above the box that you can use to shimmy across the room.  Just as you reach the end, the door will pop open and out will come your BFF.  Wait for him to leave and drop down.

Enter the room and hide with your back to the wall on the server cluster in the center.  Just wait for the other guy to leave.  Now, go turn off the light near the door.  Head up the stairs straight ahead and head towards the computer screen.  Pause here on the wall and wait for the lone guy to pass you.  When he does, you’ll have just enough time to get the file for the NSA, it’s in the file cabinet next to the computer screen.  You’ll get the prompt to search.  Once down, head to the left and wait in the dark near the server you need to get to.  Wait and then hack the server and upload the Trojan.  Now you have to get back out.  Thankfully, someone put a trap door access in the back in the dark near the server!  Hooray you!  Open and drop down and follow the same pattern you used to enter the server room.  At the stairs, you will get the option to open a hatch.  Climb up and head towards the door.

Open the door and head to the right in the dark.  You have to watch out for the camera here, so head to the upper right corner.  Put your back to the wall and go towards where you entered the area.  Hop up and open the door and exit the area, phew!  You should have around 9 minutes to get back to the training area.

But wait, there’s more!  Remember you can get the medical files NSA is requesting.  If you remember the medical room, head there and engage the good doctor, this will cue her to enter the next room (locked).  Wait until the door closes and then head slowly to the door and pick the lock.  Enter the room and hide in the right corner with your back to the wall until you get the option to scan the files.  While she is humming away, do your business and slowly back out of the room.

Now let’s get back to the training area before “Moose” gets back.  You can go to the shooting range that’s next to the safe crack area and take a few shots to gain some trust.  Head back to the training area before the timer runs out and then follow Moss.

Now you have a new objective: kill the helicopter pilot.  This is clearly a choice you have to make.  Either you do it or you don’t.  Not killing him pleases the NSA and displeases the JBA.  If you kill him, you gain more trust from JBA, but lose some with the NSA. 

This playthrough, I’ll avoid killing him.  Either way, the mission is complete.

First things first, let’s get the equipment.  You’ll notice that you aren’t alone out here in the remote sea.  Two guys just got off from Island Hoppers.  Stay to the right and let one guy pass by you.  The other guy will be heading away from your equipment and won’t be able to see you.  Keep going on the edge and go to the box and get your goodies.

Now, head to the ledge and drop into the water.  Head to left for the opening in the ice and keep going straight.  You’ll come to an area of thin ice with a man conveniently standing on top.  If you want to go pure stealth, you’ll have to ignore Sam’s insistence on cracking the ice and pulling the guy under.

Instead, head right until you get to the open water area and you’ll get a checkpoint.  Swim straight and then left.  You can identify thin ice easily due to the sun/light shining down into the water.  There are two such places to the immediate left.  The first (front) one has a guy above; ignore this one and head to the far one.  You will cut a hole in the ice near a generator and in back of a tent.  There is one guard asleep in this tent and one patrolling guard a bit in the distance on the left.  Remember to wait a bit after you break the ice, this will attract some attention.  Use your thermal vision to spot troops walking about.

When it is clear, pull yourself up and head to the left near the boxes.  From here, use your camera to examine the area.  There is one guard back and to the left, watch his pattern.  You need to get to the next tent above where you entered.  You need to go quickly, but not too quickly when it is clear.  Stick near the edge of the tent and cut a hole in the side and hide inside the tent until everything gets back to normal.

The detonation control is near the large bonfire that is to the right of the tent you are in (as you face out into the open water).  There is also a floodlight near the area and a guard right next to your goal.  Use your thermal vision in the tent and identify where the guards are.  When they are moving away from the detonation control, head out just enough to EMP the light.  Now equip a smoke grenade or two and throw down in between the tents and near that light.  This creates dual cover for your hacking.

Get to the console and hack the controls and then detonate the ice.  Head back into the tent and wait and identify where the remaining guards are located.  Wait until it is safe and then head out the tent past the snow mobiles and head left.  You should see a break in the ice with a dead body next to it, that’s your goal.  You’ll get a checkpoint here and a loading screen for the ship part of the mission.

When you get control back, you are deep under water.  There are two guards above you, both on or near thin ice.  The guy on the left is standing on the thin ice, so avoid him.  Go to the right and cut open the ice and then back off because the second guy should be coming right towards you.

The goal here is to exit and then drop down into the next water, just a few paces away from the hole you create.  The guard you have to worry about is the one near your hole.  He will walk around the hole and then away from the hole towards the edge of the ice.  When he starts moving away, pull yourself up and get into the next water area. 

Swim towards the ship and the floodlight, but don’t pull up onto the dock/pier where the light is shining.  Instead, go to the left and pull yourself up.  Now you’ll get a new task, you must disable the crew and mercs on the ship (either kill or KO, since the goal is to minimize kills, let’s KO).

First, take out the guy on the zodiac with a shocker after you EMP the light.  Then use the switch to lower the other zodiac.  Get in and activate the switch to pull yourself up to the deck.  Hide behind the boxes and you’ll notice two guards chatting.  Follow the guy on your level and grab him from behind.

Interrogate him and he’ll let you know about the captain of the ship.  KO him and put him someplace out of the way.  Continue towards the stern of the ship  and at the edge of the open area use your map and identify where some crew are.  Wait at the corner and watch the guy come down the stairs, do an end around and come up behind him.  Grab him and take him under the stairs to KO him.

Check the 3-D map for the next guy.  He should be near the boxes near the stern.  Sneak and grab him.  You may alert the guard on the deck above, who will be on his way to investigate.  Sneak up behind him or use a sticky shocker on him.  Now for the other side of the ship’s stern.  There are two guards on patrol here as well.  The key is take them down one by one.  Beware that both may be on alert.

Check the 3-D map, if they are red, they are on alert.  Use cover to your advantage and try and get behind them.  If that fails, use an airfoil ring to stun them and run up and finish the job.  These last two should take care of the crew on the deck of the ship’s stern.

There is one more guard on the stern who usually is one or two flights of stairs above the deck.  He may or may not be alerted to your presence.  If he is searching around, take your time and get behind him.  Otherwise, he has a pattern between the two decks above you.  Take your time and sneak up behind him.  If you get this guy on the second deck, he has one buddy just around the corner on patrol.  Watch his pattern and sneak up on him as he goes up and down the two staircases and three upper decks.  Once you get him, you have an NSA objective.  You must contact Lambert.

Head up the stairs and find the ladder and start climbing.  By the time you reach the top, you’ll get yet another objective.  JBA suggests that you use Fentanyl gas by placing it in the ventilation system.  Once you pull yourself up, head left and climb the ladder.  On this deck is another crewmember, he will be aft.  You can flank him and come up behind him to KO him.  Up one more flight is the communication tower.  Get up there and contact Lambert by picking the lock and hacking the computer.

You now have to take out the bridge crew now.  If you choose the JBA way, you have to get into the ventilation system.  You can either climb the ladder or zip from the communication tower.  Open the hatch and drop down via the rope.  But that’s probably going to kill them.

So, let’s go non-lethal.  One crew member paces back and forth near the door.  You can open the door as he moves to the right and toss in a smoke grenade.  This distracts him and allows you to grab him under cover of smoke.  Take him outside and KO him.  Head back in and place a wall mine (stun) on the black windows.  Now draw the attention of the other two by whistling or using the sonic emitter.  Head back outside and wait for them to KO themselves.  This completes the take out the bridge crew objective.

Now you have to take care of the captain, who has headed to the bow.  You can climb back up to the antenna and disable the communications.  To get to the captain, you have to head all the way back down and towards the left side of the ship (where you came up via the crane).

Head past the crane and to the first stack of boxes with the wooden pallet on its side.  Wait here, there are two guards who patrol this area on this deck.  Wait for one to come near your box and head left, follow him and grab him.  You can interrogate him and then KO him.

Wait near the cylinder type storage and wait for the other guard to return and stop opposite you.  Toss a flash bang towards him and then KO him.  Two more guards left for you. Watch out for the guard up top when he moves to the left, go around the crate and to the right.  Go under the first set of stairs and head through the open crate and to the next set up stairs.  Head up and go right.  Work your way around slowly to the ladder.

Use the camera to your advantage and get up to the top when the guard is away from the ladder.  Sneak up and KO him.  Head back down the ladder and make sure you use your 3D map or the opsat to see where the remaining two guards are.  When you hit ground, turn around and go clockwise around the square deck.  You are going to sneak up on the patrol up here.  Grab him and make sure you are behind one of the red boxes, so his buddy can’t see him.  When clear, drag him back around counterclockwise and KO him. Now you have to deal with the last guy on this deck.  You can try and avoid him, your goal is the open hatch between the two staircases on the right side of the ship.  Head down and you get a checkpoint.

Turn around and turn right and go down the hall.  Find the door on the left and enter.  Check the 3D map for the engineer, he’s on the opposite side from you.  You can distract him by making him see something then double back around him and grab him.

Once you are done, head down the stairs near where the engineer paused.  Then turn around and go straight down the middle row and find the door.  Open and go through the next door.  You should notice the guy above you with the flashlight.  A check of the 3D map will also reveal another guard on your level.  He has a flashlight as well.  So don’t head right.  Instead, work around the first large cylinder and come up behind the lower level guard.  Grab him and KO him. 

The guard above will now be making his way down the stairs in the upper right corner of the room.  Hug the right side of the area and head towards those stairs.  He will head down, pause and then turn left.  Follow him and KO him.  Now to get to the ballast room you have to go upstairs and to the upper left corner.  Before you do that, you can turn off the ballast by going through the door on the ground level and turning right until you get that option.  Head back up the stairs and find the door.

You will get a checkpoint as you pass through the door.  Now, you have a big problem.  The captain is in the fuel room with a flare.  You have to sneak up and grab him without letting him see you.  Stay at the corner of the walkway and peer into the fuel room.  Wait for him to come near you and pause and wave the flare around.

Follow him, but don’t grab him yet. Pause where you are still in the green because he is going to turn around again towards you then turn around and walk away.  That’s your cue to go grab him.  KO him and put him down then climb the two ladders to the helipad.  Mission accomplished.

Mission 5: Shanghai-hotel

Seems you have to take the controls of the helicopter before it crashes.  Use the left thumbstick to level out the chopper.  All you have to do is hold it steady for a few seconds (green lights on the console).  After that, it lands itself.

You will get a checkpoint once you get off the chopper and a contact from the NSA, who has a few objectives for you.  After you get control again, go to the left in between the building directly in front of you and the wall.  Climb on the pallets and then jump up and grab the ledge of the building.

Go straight and find the ladder, climb up but pause at the top and listen to the two guards talk about which direction Mecca is.  When that breaks up, notice the zipline on the roof.  Sneak over and use it, making sure to pull your legs up.

Once you drop down, find the air ducts to your left.  Jump up and climb on top and look to the left.  You should see a wood plank or two that crosses the gap to the large box type thing.  By this time, your NSA contact will let you know that there is a crane to the left that can get you in position to record the meeting.

Look to the left and you will see a pipe.  Jump over and grab it then pull yourself up and shimmy to the right until you can drop down on the roof of the next building.  Once you drop down, you should notice a power box with a red light.  This controls the lights on the crane.  Seems like a good idea to turn them off, right?

Now go to the crane, which will move for your convienence.  Climb up the ladder and go out to the edge and then rappel down the side of the building.  Check the 3D map to see how far you have to go down the side of the building.

But it’s never that easy, right?  You’ll reach the end of your rope shortly and you have to deal with fireworks and people in their rooms or bars.  Head to the left and around the building, you don’t have to worry about being lit up here because there is no one to see you.  Once you reach the end, you’ll have to go down a pipe like thing to the lower level.  You can shimmy to the right until you reach a barrier.  You will then have to pull yourself up to the ledge in full view of some people, so be careful of the fireworks.  Head to the right and drop down.  You will have to repeat this once more and then you’ll get a checkpoint.

At the block, you can rappel down the side of the building again.  Be careful of the open window with people a few levels below you…that’s your meeting.  Get down so you can just see the window and whip out the laser microphone.  Just point and aim at the window to record.

Now, we have to get into the hotel.  Check the 3D map and notice the laundry access on the building.  It’s a few levels below you and to the left.  When you reach the bottom, go left until you reach the vents for the laundry access.  You will have to go on the ledge below the vents and wait.  Two helicopters are scanning the walls with floodlights and soon a goon will open up a vent for you in the laundry room.

The goon will stare out the window for a bit then head to the right and look out the window.  Then he will patrol to the left.  If you wait until he moves to the left, you will be exposed as soon as you enter the hotel.  So when he’s at the window on the right, pull yourself up and go left and hide in the dark.  Then go behind him and open up the trap door in the corner (in the dark near you).

Go straight to the opposite end and open the trap door here.  Your NSA handler will chime in and tell you that you need to get to the meeting room one floor up to get the sample.  A check of the 3D map shows two elevator shafts. 

I chose to go to the left one.  Simply use your EMP on the light to your right (as you face out the building) and then get to the double doors.  Hug the wall on the side of the door as a merc will soon enter on patrol.  He leaves his buddy guarding the elevator.  He will periodically check some dead hotel workers, so open the door and hug the wall near the elevator. 

Equip your sonic emitter and point down the hall near the light switch to get him to investigate.  When he does, push the elevator call button.  Then use the sonic emitter again when the elevator arrives.  Sneak in and press the up button. You’ll get a checkpoint for your efforts.

Don’t worry about the light around the corner, just get to the door and use your optic cable.  The hacker is likely in the bathroom, so wait for him to leave.  He will return to his laptop in the next room shortly.  Follow him out.  The laptop contains access to the security cameras and you can turn them off here.  There are also two sticky cameras on the desk next to the computer.  It doesn’t seem that hacking into the computer does anything.

Continue out the room via the sliding door.  You are now in the meeting room area.  Hug the wall on the left and ignore the door here (it’s just the optional route into the meeting room area from the laundry room).   Head towards the light and then use your EMP on the light.  This will make the guard in the room patrol and investigate.  Sneak past him and into the room.  Head to the left and you’ll see Emile waiting.  He’ll soon move into the room with the money counting machine, follow him in and crack the safe.  Moss will then radio you telling you to get into the Dr.’s room.

Head back out but take a left into the foyer of the suite.  Wait in the dark as there is a hotel employee with a flashlight patrolling.  You have to get to the atrium middle floors and you are on the atrium top floor.  So let’s get moving.

Wait for the patrol to move to the left and then take a right down the hall.  Pause near the open door near the elevator bank.  There is one guard in here that will leave shortly.  Get into the room when he does and beware of the camera at the elevator banks.  Turn to the right and climb the ladder.  You’ll get a checkpoint here.

Find the place where you can rappel down the inside of the building, about halfway across the platform.  Rappel down until you reach the first platform.  Notice the glass elevators going up and down?  You are going to ride them down to the correct floor.  Go right and hop onto the first elevator.  When it stops, jump across to the platform, then go to the opposite side.  Repeat the elevator jump. 

You will now be on the same floor as Aswat’s room.  You will be near the elevator banks with an opening for you to crawl through.  Beware of the guard on patrol in this area and the camera above the elevator banks.  When the guard sneezes and coughs, prepare your EMP for the camera.  He will move to the left, that’s your cue to use the EMP on the camera, hop through the window and go to the right.  Keep going until you reach the cover of darkness.

You need to get about 180 degrees from your original position near the elevators.  Hug the wall on the left and watch for the patrol guard near the objective.  Also beware of the spotlight that periodically shines into the level. When clear, turn left into Aswat’s room and you’ll get a checkpoint.

Use your optic cable on the door to make sure it is safe to open.  The notes are to the left of the entrance.  There is one patrolling guard in the area.  Head to the left and be careful of the fireworks.  They will illuminate parts of the room. 

The patrolling guy walks left and right and into the room with the notes.  There is one more guy here trying to crack the safe with a flashlight shined onto it from the bed.  So, you have to distract these guys long enough for you to crack the safe and get the notes.

Wait for the patrolling guy to leave, then sneak into the room and go left.  Pull out your sonic emitter and aim into the next room.  This will distract the guy trying to crack the safe.  Shoot it again when he’s out of the room to lure him further away.

Equip smoke grenades now.  Toss one into the room you just came from and then toss one near the safe.  This should distract the guards and give you cover to get the stuff and exit.  While you are doing this NSA will chime in and ask you to take care of the good doctor.  Moss will also tell you to get back up to the chopper.  Exit Dr. Aswat’s room the same way you came in.

Wait at the entrance to his suite and then check your 3D map.  Aswat will be on the same floor as you are by now near the elevator banks.  He’ll head straight to his room with an escort who will pause in the atrium.  Ignore him.  Make sure you closed the door to the suite, otherwise Aswat will go on alert.  Put your back to the wall on the left side with the open closet door.  Wait for him to enter, grab him and drag him into the room on the right.  Stay close to the wall and you should not have to worry about the three goons.  Head to the left and kill him near the armoire.  Jump up and grab the zipline to get to the chopper.

Mission 6: JBA Headquarters Part 2, NYC

After the cut scene, head straight towards the dumpster in the upper left corner, hop up and then over the wall.  Head straight and take a right into the garage, you’ll be safe now out of the restricted zone.

When you enter the garage, Enrica will meet you.  Follow her and she’ll give you a new objective and a new training objective.  But you can quickly get her voice recording as you walk down the hall to the stairs.  Whip out your microphone and keep moving behind her.  You have 25 minutes to assemble 10 mines (and 15 total chances).  The right trigger works the speed and left stick controls the aim.  Find a steady pace to move it and once you are near the top of the cylinder, let it fly.  You should have roughly 21 to 20 minutes left after completing this task.

Let’s get started on recording audio files.  Moss should be finishing up talking into the server room access key (or looking at it).  He may come over to your station and talk into the voice print ID near you, if he does, get in the dark and aim the mic at him.  If he doesn’t follow him around and try and get his print when he talks on the communicator, simply point the mic at him to record his voice. 

Exit wherever you got the voice and find Jamie.  I got Moss in the room with two computers near the lounge and exited and went upstairs as Jamie was heading into the stairwell access.  He will go up and pause and talk to one of the handymen and then try out the voice print access.  Stay in the dark and use the mic.  That’s 2 down and that is enough to access the voice locks.

Next up: dispose the pilot’s body.  He’s in the medical room, simply pick him up and carry him downstairs, take a right and go through the dark area, hang a right and the go down the stairs.  Take another right and go through the plastic stripping, place the body on the ground near the furnace and that completes that objective.

Now, head up the ladder near the furnace.  You’ll be in the garage area now.  Head back towards the mine assembly area and enter the restricted area by using the captured voice on the voice panel door.  Enter, close the door behind you and head up the stairs.  To the left is Enrica’s lab area, let’s go that way first.  Note the pipe above you and the camera that points down.  Pretty convenient placing of the pipe, don’t you think?  Jump up and grab the pipe, then pull your legs up and journey across. 

Drop down and hack the keypad and enter the lab area quietly.  There is a professional background file near the computer in a file cabinet.  The computer does not contain any mission critical material, so ignore it.  Exit the room the same way you came in.  Now, head through the other door near the camera and go up the stairs.

You are now in the area behind the voice print door that Jamie tested out.  There is one guard asleep near that door and another guard on patrol in the area.  He will do an L-pattern from the couch with a radio to an area near that door.  He will pause for quite some time at the couch.

Head into the area and if the guard on patrol starts walking, put your back to the wall on the pillar to the left of the door (with sleeping guard as you face it).  He will pause and look out the window.  Sometimes he gets stuck in that animation, so you can slowly sneak by on the right and hug the wall.  (Alternative: head to the pool room and wait in the corner near the doorway to the couch area.  Wait for the guard to go sit down again.  Exit, turn right and switch off the light.  Put your back to the wall and move away from the light and past the couch.  The guard will investigate and you can turn the corner).  Turn the corner.  The first door on the right is Enrica’s room.  Pick the lock and search the drawers/file cabinet on the right to get some personal information on her.

Exit her room and turn left down the hall, flip off the lights for a little cover if needed and pick the lock on the door on the right at the corner.  Enter and you’ll find Dayton sleeping and sleep talking…another opportunity for a voice recording.  There is also some personal information in the file cabinet on the far side of where he is sleeping.  Also, check the file cabinet right next to him as well.

Exit and go back to Enrica’s room.  Enter her bathroom and turn right, hop out the open window.  Scurry across the courtyard to the truck that is backed into the building.  You will find some boxes and a pipe.  Climb up the pipe and then shimmy to the ledge on the left.  Pull yourself up and follow the balcony around.  Open the door and enter Emile’s room.  Do NOT approach the safe/desk area yet.  Instead, stay to the left and open the door to the hallway to Emile’s quarters.  Take the second door on the right and enter.  The file cabinet you need is on the right side of the room.  Now, head back out and approach the safe.  You will get a checkpoint here.  Jamie and Emile are about to enter, so hide in the closet next to the door.

The two will chat it up as they look at the schematics, this is another opportunity for a voice recording.  Jamie will soon leave and Emile will put the goodies back in the safe.  Emile will then go sit on the couch, leaving you alone to do your business.

Crack the safe and scan the files.  Close the safe and head back to your closet.  Emile is about to retire for the night.  Wait for him to exit the room, then go out the main door.  Go straight and open the glass door.  Turn off the lights once you enter this area.  There are two guards standing by the door you need to exit.  Equip your sonic emitter and aim it at the door you originally entered after sneaking into Enrica’s lab.  Shoot it twice to make sure both investigate, then go out the door.  (Note: there may be a guard working on the voice print outside this area, so don’t go out that way if he is…this may vary depending on where you get Jamie’s voice.  If you get it at the voice print, the guard won’t be there.  If you get Jamie’s voice while he is sitting on the couch in the lounge, he will be there).

Get back to the mine assembly area as quickly as you can.  Mission complete.

Note: there is an alternate ending to this and I stumbled across it while exploring.  I originally got two voices and went to Emile’s room via the security door in the stairwell.  I got the goodies from Emile’s safe and then exited via the balcony and ran across the courtyard and entered Enrica’s bathroom.  When I opened the door to Enrica’s bedroom, I got a cut scene with Enrica and an objective of seducing her.  The mission ended here, regardless of the level of completion of the objectives or time remaining.

Good news, you’ve earned a cruise ship vacation!  Of course, you can’t relax because Lambert will ring you on your cell phone and tell you to get back to work.  He wants you to make sure the bomb doesn’t go off and somehow evacuate the ship (he mentions smoke grenades into the ventilation system.

Well, let’s get started by getting some sun on the balcony.  Hop over the ledge and shimmy to the well placed pole to the right of your room.  You should overhear that any one found outside their cabin will be shot from one of the guards.  Doesn’t sound like a Celebrity Cruise does it?  Probably a Disney one.

Anyway, when you reach the end of the pole, head right.  You should notice a guard on the balcony here.  As soon as you reach this balcony, another guard will tell that guy to get back to work and he’ll leave.

Pull yourself up carefully and head into the area and take a right.  Enrica will let you know that she plans a diversion for the guards. Stay here for a bit and wait for the distraction to attract the guards.  Then turn around and go into the darkness (straight from the entrance).

Go straight and then take a right when you can see the car.  Head clockwise around this circle area and exit at the first left you can.  There are two guards in this area.  One to your left looking at the slot machines and one to the right with a flashlight, who is near the exit.  Drop down and hug the wall until you see a half table.  Cross behind that and wait while you are still in the green.  If necessary, you can hide under the table until the path to the room is clear.  Do not approach the room straight on or near the window or the camera will see you.  You have to make a U-Pattern to it by hugging the wall and getting near the entrance so you can use your EMP.

You need to get to the little room with the light on.  It also has a camera, but camera’s can’t see in the dark.  So EMP the light and enter.  The vent is on the lower part of the right wall, ignore that for now.  Instead, look about eye high for a panel you can lock pick and then hack the computer to turn off the lights for good.  Now, go the vent and place the smoke bomb. 

With the lights off, the guards are going nuts.  Exit the room and hide under the same table and use your 3D map to locate the guards. Your goal is the stairwell adjacent to the room you just exited.  You will have to be quick as the guards will turn the power back on.

You will have to pick the lock and enter the stairwell.  A checkpoint is your reward.  Now, head up the stairs, but stick to the wall.  You will soon see a crewman come down towards you, but he’ll pause on the landing above you and flick the lights a lot.  Just slowly sneak behind him and continue to the next flight of stairs and hug the wall on the right.

When you reach the top, head left and into darkness, there is one guard at the entrance/door of the next area.  He will move as you approach the door, just stay on the right and in darkness.  Verify his location on the 3D map before opening and entering.

You are now in the bar and Sam will offer up his commentary.  Enrica will mention that it’s full of guards, so don’t get detected.  Duh.  The 3D map shows a count of six.  Two near the fish, two to the left on the outside and two far away on the deck.

There is a path of darkness that snakes around some of the tables in the middle, stick to that as you approach the band stage.  Head around the back of the stage and as you approach the dark corridor, be aware of the camera on the left above the area.  Use the EMP on the camera as your round the top of the band stage and then quickly get to the dark hallway.

Hug the wall on the right as you come to the next door and the brightly lit area.  Two guards will chat it up and then break up.  One will come down the hall towards you.  Then his buddy will follow behind him, let them pass then exit.  Call the elevator and you’ll get a load screen for the next part of the mission.

When the game loads up again, jump up and grab the ledge of the emergency exit above you and pull yourself up.  A guard will enter and scan the elevator and then leave.  Drop down and follow him out.  Note that it quite bright out here, so find cover on the left side.

A check of the 3D map will show 5 guards near your position and you have to get to the other side where there is one more guard with his back to the level you are on.

Move up to the stacked deck chairs and Enrica will soon create yet another diversion for you.  Head left towards the bar and hide behind it.  The patrol nearest you will soon have his back to you.  Head towards the pool and drop in.  Swim across towards the bow of the ship.  Check your 3D map for guard positions.  Pull yourself up and you should be behind a staircase of sorts.  The guard on patrol above you will just be turning to the left, so you go left and up the stairs to the left side that lead to the upper deck.  Stick to the left and hide behind the table and check the position of the guard again.

Follow the guard and stay on the left and open the sliding glass door and enter.  You will get a checkpoint here.  Head to the right side and go into the darkness.  One guard will exit the steam room area and pause.  A check of the map and a little maneuver with your in-game camera will reveal guard #2 with his back to the area.

The patrol near you will come to your side, pause and then re-enter the steam room.  Sounds like a good opportunity to follow him in.  Approach the plastic sheeting over the entryway and Enrica will provide more steam cover for you.

The two guards near you will chat it up about the steam, you can enter now.  Your goal is the opposite side of the room from the entrance.  Sneak in and then hop up onto the shelf/water area. Then jump up and grab the ledge and cut the vent.  Enter the vent and Enrica has some more news for you.  Seems the coast guard is now searching the area.

You should see the feet of another guard just past the vent.  Wait for him to leave and follow him out.  Head straight for the door near you (red light) and hack it to open it.  Enter and go down the stairs.  There are two guys in the navigation room who will switch sides very shortly, just beware of this.

You have to make it out the door and then slide down a zip line outside.  One problem: a crewman outside that patrols left to right and back near the zip line.  Head right at the stairs so that you double back and the put your back to the last box like thing on the opposite side.  The two crewmen in the bridge area will chat and then head up stairs. 

The guy outside should then enter the bridge.  Each time I have played, the first guy up the stairs has noticed the hacked door.  The second guy pauses and heads back to the bridge and will soon go on patrol parallel to the stairs on the opposite side of your position.  The guy who was outside will now patrol inside the bridge near the windows.  You need a distraction.  To get both guys outside, equip your sonic emitter and aim it at the bridge windows.  Both will investigate. 

When they do, head towards the stairs and take a right, go behind the servers and then to the small table.  Wait for them to re-enter the bridge and then use the sonic emitter again and aim it towards the opposite side of the bridge.  To be safe, you can toss a smoke grenade at your former position as both investigate the corner.  Then toss one in the center towards the windows (to disguise your zip line escape).  Head out the door and go down the zip line, being careful to pull your legs up and when you hit the ground, you will get a checkpoint.

Head to the right until you reach a platform you can access the central area.  Use the switch on the crane for fun and then hop over the railing and climb down the ladder.  Put your back to the wall here so that you can see around the corner.  The crewman will go upstairs and the coast guard guy will patrol outside.  When he turns around from where you are, follow him and lock pick the door and enter.  Don’t worry, he won’t see you.  Around the corner and shielded from sight is the place where you have to put the bomb.  Place it and then quickly hack it to get the frequency.

Now you have to head back outside.  Watch the guard pattern and exit as he moves to the left.  Go right out the door and find the red light, pick the lock and access the computer to lower the dive ramp.  Now, just dive out of the ship.

You start out in your quarters and Emile will ask (err…order) you to follow him.  He’s got big plans for you and your big brain.  He’ll take you to a computer room downstairs and tell you to decrypt an email.  You will have 25 minutes to complete the task and the other objectives.

Now the decryption: you are presented with a cube and no instructions.  You must fill the cube with numbers (but only instances of 0s or 1s in a string of three).   You cannot have the same string of numbers show up in a row or column on the cube.  Think of it as a similar game to soduku.  The easy way to start out is with one column.  Start with 000 and then increment as you rotate through the cube.  Then do the next column, but stagger the 000 start and increment.  When you are done with two columns, hit the left or right bumper and start with 000 in a blank spot.  Repeat the procedure until it is all filled in (no red squares).  This should take you roughly a minute to a minute ten seconds to complete.

Let’s get started on scanning fingerprints first.  Whip out your scanner (right bumper and then x) and scan the desk that you are at.  You will notice some handprints near the mouse.  This will allow you to get into the high security corridor upstairs now.  But you still have 4 left.  Head to the server room access door and turn off the light near the door.  Scan the print on the wall (Dayton). 

Head upstairs to the infirmary where you can get Enrica’s prints. You will have to pick the lock and enter the restricted infirmary and then go to the left and look on the microscope.  Number four is at the safe cracking training exercise.  If you remember, Moss opens the first door for you in your first headquarters mission.

Now, let’s get back to Enrica’s lab.  Head to the mine assembly area and enter via the voice print door.  Head upstairs and then shimmy past the camera via the pipe.  Drop down and hack the door.  Enter and go to the right.  The file you need is on the computer in her lab.  You will have to hack it.  Emile will call Enrica via videophone, just exit the room and bypass the camera via the pipe.  Head up the stairs and then check your 3D map before you open the second door.  Make sure no one is heading towards you when you open the door.    Stay on the right once you enter and take a right when you see the door on your right.  A guard will get up and then walk to the couch area.  When he sits down, hop up on the table to the right and drop down into the hallway.  Head into the pool room and then out the door near the couches.  Hug the wall on the right side as you pass them.

The talk will soon break up and they will leave to opposite sides of the security corridor.  Head right down the hall and use the finger print access door.  Moss and Jamie will be yacking it up like Han Solo and Chewbaca.  Stay on the left and approach the closed door.  Wait for the party to break up.  Moss will turn left and go down the hall.

Follow him out, but go to the opposite door (this is Moss’s quarters).  Pick the lock and enter the room. You must hide now as Moss will return.  You can hide under the bed or in a locker (turn left into the room).  He’ll bad mouth you as he punches the punching bag.  When he leaves, go through his file cabinet near the door to get his personal information.  Head out the door and go right.

Don’t go all the way down the hall or you will be spotted by the camera.  At the first door on the left, head in and around the obstacles, sneaking behind the 2 guys talking and out the door on the opposite side of the shelf.  You are essentially doing a U-turn around the camera.  When you exit, go to the right wall and hug it.  There is one person to the left reading.  Take a left and go down the hall.

The surveillance room is on the right and you will have to hack the door.  Enter and stay near the entrance.  Moss is about to leave for his office.  When he’s gone, you need to head towards the open window and use the computer on the left.  Don’t worry; you’ve got plenty of time to get there quietly.  Use the computer and you will complete an objective.

Turn around slowly and go left around the center table and towards the computer screen in the corner.  The door to Moss’ office is right here.  His professional background info is in the file cabinet opposite the entrance and next to his computer.  Moss will pause in three areas: far side, next to the shelves on the right and he sits down at the window straight and to your left.  When he is far away, head in and go right past the first shelf.  Keep going until you hit the wall and then go left.  You will sneak behind the shelf and straight to the computer and file cabinet. 

Get his file and you can also get the key code to Jamie’s office on the computer.  Whoever set the code must have watched Spaceballs.  Now get out, head back the same way you came into the office.

Be careful as you approach the door, one guard will just be moving from one of the monitors.  When he moves to the right, open the door and enter.  Head straight and then right, you are going to sneak behind the center desk and to the exit door.  You’ll have just enough time to get to the door without being spotted.

You can’t go back exactly as you came into the area.  But you’ll notice that the guy reading is now on patrol with a pattern.  Enter the fenced in area via the door at the corner, sneak in and find the door on the left.  You bypass the camera this way.  Head right out the door.

Then take a left down the next corridor past Moss’ quarters.  Go through the door on the right and then check your 3D map, there is one guard in the hall past the closed door.  When he moves away, open the door and head right.

Now you just have to get out of the secured area.  Watch for the guard on patrol and make your way in the dark to the voice print door that is an L-pattern away from you.  Open the door and exit; you are now in the clear.  Head back to the lounge area, Emile will be waiting and watching a video feed of the ship.

Head to the computer with the decrypted email and then follow Emile out.  You now have a choice to make: jam the signal, frame Enrica, or let the bomb go off.  Choosing to jam the signal will force Emile to kill Enrica.  Framing Enrica also results in her being shot, but does not affect your trust with the JBA.

Emile will tell you to stay put.  You’ll get shot outside.  Hmmm…seems like a waste of talent.  Soon after, you’ll get a voice in your head telling you to get up to the room and bug it.  Access is via the roof.

Like a good spy, it’s best to check your map.  Looks like there is access in a shaft straight from where the truck points and there are two guards here.  One is to the right of your position and one is near the shaft.

To the right near the fence and on a column is a switch.  Let’s see what it does.  It will distract both guys from the shaft area.  Head behind the large crates and then take a left behind a little cover.  Both guys are now where you hit the switch.  Head towards the open area and pull yourself up.  Find the elevator in the left corner and hit the call button.

Once you are up a level, you will get a checkpoint.  Head left and into the corner near the shelves, make sure you are in the dark.  Two guards are around the corner in the next room.  They will break up and one will come into your room.  Follow him out and approach the next door in the kitchen.  Check your 3D map for guard positions.  They are near the windows far away in the next room and they will soon be distracted by gunfire.

Head right past the next doorway and stay behind cover near the wall.  Head straight and find the open window and go out onto the ledge.  Go left and then drop down to shimmy when you reach the end.  Go right and then turn the corner and pull yourself up onto the pipe.  Go all the way up and then shimmy to the right just a bit.  One guard will soon enter that level. 

He will pause near you then head right.  Again, he’ll pause and look over the balcony.  When he moves again, hop up and go straight to the open window in front of you.  Hop into the room and straight to the opposite door.  Open the door, take a right and then open the first door on the left.  Hide in one of the closets and check your map.  There is one guard in the room with you and he will soon be joined by another.  Your goal is the doorway around the corner to the left.

One will go to the desk near your position and rifle through the drawers, the other will head into the room you need to access.  When he’s done, exit the closet and turn left and crouch walk to the wall near the doorway.  Wait for the guard in here to go to the bathroom area, then enter the room and go to the balcony.  Go left and hop over the ledge.  Continue to the hotel sign then use it like a ladder and go up.  You will get a checkpoint about halfway up.

A check of the map reveals three guards up here with you.  They will soon be distracted by a passing helicopter and gunfire.  You should see one of them climbing up the ladder.  Follow him up and the take a left up top.  Stay to the left and work your way around the biggest structure.  At the corner you will see one guy shooting from a position.  You have to get around the corner and behind him.  He will go left and right on his pattern.  When he goes back to the right to shoot, sneak behind him and turn the corner.  Go up the stairs quickly and then pick the lock of an access panel on the left wall.  Access the detonation control to remove the danger of the wall mines.  Drop down and grab the ledge and then drop again.  Turn around and find the ladder.

The pretty room with all the lasers and stuff is the meeting room.  Once you are down, you will see the only opening below the meeting room.  Follow the passage, take a left and then crawl under the pipes.  After you are on the other side, find the pipe (straight ahead) and climb all the way up and then at the top turn around and use that pipe to go over the meeting room.

Drop down onto the glass ceiling and then turn to the left.  Find the hatch and hack it.  You will get a checkpoint here.  Drop down and shimmy until you are above the convenient pipe.  Drop down, grab the pipe and go left.  Be careful of the laser trip wires.  Just get up as close as possible and wait for them to go off and then go left.  Repeat once more.

Slide down the pipe. Now you have to keep going left, but you will have to stick up against the window and go left.  Once on the other side, climb the pipe up.  Go left and then turn the corner in the middle.  Watch out for the lasers again.  Continue to the chandelier and use your winch to drop down and place the bug.

As usual, things never go completely smooth, so you won’t have time to get out before the meeting.  Seems pointless to bug since you are there now, just stay put and soon a guard will say that there is a mole.  Emile will radio you to stay put in the parking lot because he is on the way.  Yippee!

Once Emile leaves, use your winch and drop all the way down.  Head out, but don’t go right.  Go left and find the open window and then rappel down the wall quickly (use the Y button).  Hit the ground and head left.  You can either go through the door and then find the vent on the left and drop down into the elevator or you can go through the vent near the bushes and drop down into the same elevator.

Meet Emile in the parking lot near the trunk and you’ll get your next assignment: kill the mole!  Head left and up the ramp.  You’ll get a checkpoint/load screen here.

You will start out behind a small truck.  Wait for the truck on the other side of the fence to move and wait for a shell to hit nearby.  It will distract the two guards left outside.  Approach the fence and pick the lock.  Check your map, you’ve got a long journey ahead of you.  Head straight towards the broken wall and wait for the guard on the other side to start moving to the right.

Follow him, but stay on the right.  Keep going past the car and pause at the next set of boxes.  By now, the guard you were following will have turned around.  You now have the opportunity to save 3 civilians who are about to be executed.  From your position behind the boxes, go towards the guy in the street and take the first right.  Pause at the corner of the building and wait for one of the executioners to enter the area.  Sneak up behind him and grab him.  Knock him out and then sneak up on his buddy and KO him.

Once you are done being a hero, go through the alley to the left of the civilians.  Check your map before moving to the next area while you wait at the corner.  There is one guard who patrols the street you left to save the civilians.  Wait until he turns around so you can go to the left and jump up on the phone booth and then jump up again to the open window.  Pull yourself up and into the room.  You will get a checkpoint here.

Turn the corner into the next hall and hug the left wall.  You should notice lots of blood and a pair of boots, their owner is against the wall on the left in the next room.  Just make sure you are against the right wall near the entryway from the open window or you will end up the recipient of an RPG.  Emile will also start bugging you.  Doesn’t he know that stealth takes patience?

Once it is clear head into the room with the now missing guy and drop down onto the bus and into the trap door.  Check your map to make sure all hostiles are away.  Head to the left side and stick to the wall. You will have to worry about a few guys in the street ahead and a sniper on the roof to the right.  If you remember GRAW, it’s a good time to use a smoke grenade.

Head to the right so you can see the street (Main) and wait for the guy facing you near the car to turn and return fire to the sniper.  Toss a smoke grenade towards him.  Wait and then move up the street and take a left at the first intersection.  Keep going straight (I ignored the woman on the bus, but will return to see if I can rescue her without being seen).  Emile will call you and let you know that you were too late, but mentions a radio tower. 

You should see a truck up the street.  Move up slowly on the left and hide behind a crate.  Wait for the truck to move out and then go up the street and to the left.  Go through the broken out building.  Go right through the next doorway and hide in the alley.  The guy above you is about to be taken out by an RPG.

Approach the corner and then turn it.  Make sure you stay on the left side.  You will have to cross over once you reach the last crate with sandbags.  Check the ground for land mines (circles) and don’t step on them.  Hug the building at the corner.  You need to get to the near tent, so let’s go.  You will get a checkpoint as you cross the street to the tent.

The plans you need to get are in the laptop that a soldier is using.  You need to distract him.  First, cut the tent open (between the windows).  Then stand to the left of the first window and equip your sonic emitter.  Aim it past the entry where he is sitting and fire.  He’ll go investigate, you enter the tent and hack the computer.

Back out the same way you came in and head to the next tent.  Cut open the tent and sneak through the hospital tent.  Check your map to make sure it is clear then head left until you hit the wired fence.  Go right and open the door to the radio tower.

Climb up the tower and Emile will tell you to take laser mic the palace.  Turn around 180 degrees and find the sniper rifle waiting for you.  You now have a choice: kill him or don’t kill him.  If you don’t do anything, the mission will end.  If you shoot the red hat guy, you’ll get another part of the mission to finish, extracting Hisham.

I shot the red hat guy.  Soon after, the tower will be partially destroyed and you’ll be dazed and confused.  Check your map, pretty big section left.  The tower has collapsed to give you a passage to Main Street.  There are several guards on both sides facing the middle.

Use the zipline and ride into the building.  Drop down once you are on the ledge and head left through the doorway.  Drop down into the hole.  Check your map, it’s getting hairy with many soldiers out.  Luckily, many will be distracted by the bullets.

Turn out onto the street and head into the door of the blown out bus on the left.  Go through the bus and hop out on the left side.  Take cover behind the crate object next to the bus.  One guard is coming straight for you, but it looks like a mortar takes care of him. 

If you look at your map, there is a building to your right with a large doorway in the middle of the map, head for that.  It’s directly adjacent and to the right of the bus.  In fact, it’s probably the remnants of another bus.  Head in and go left.  Then take an immediate right into some cover.

Cross into the tube across from your position.  All that is left is for you to head to the left once you exit.  Drop down into the ditch and continue to the left.  The soldier in the helicopter will soon be exploded, so don’t worry about him.  Keep going until you reach the helicopter then jump up into it and go straight.  You will get a checkpoint here.

Lambert will be in your head again with Hisham.  There seems to be an opportunity here with an explosion to cover your trail of rescuing Hisham.  You can pick up some grenades and ammo in the cockpit.  Just outside of the cockpit and ahead of you is one soldier, waiting to execute someone.

The place is rigged with explosives as well, so be careful not to spook anyone.  Head out of the cockpit by going left, find cover behind some boxes.  Use the map to recon the area.  Seems the best entrance into the palace is to right of your position (after you move forward from the chopper).

The guard near you will patrol back up towards the middle and left.  He will then go investigate the explosives on the side of the building near the entrance.  Wait until he passes and goes to the left.  He will stay there for a bit.  Use this as your opportunity to head towards the entrance and past the dynamite.  Take the first left you can (you’ll be behind some cover/plastic green sheets.  Continue until you can cut a hole through the material.

Climb through the hole and then go to the right.  Keep going and you will slip through a cramped area.  Once you are out, hide behind the rock, Hisham is right next to you.  Unfortunately, he also has a soldier with a rifle with him.  Not to mention there are a few more soldiers in the distance.

I think that smoke grenades offer the best protection/distraction here.  You should have two left (not to mention three more with your SC-20K).  Toss one through the door towards the group of soldiers and another in front of Hisham.  Remember to use your SC-20K if you need more smoke.  Enter through the broken out glass and rescue Hisham and then exit via the same way. 

Take a right and head towards the alley.  Go through the hole in the wall and go straight and then take a left.  Give Hisham a boost over the fence and Lambert will tell you to get the heck away from there ASAP.   Just stay where you boosted Hisham.  Mission complete.

Follow Emile after he stops talking downstairs to the interrogation room.  Seems a SWAT team is outside waiting to come in.  Who is in the interrogation room?  Why it’s your good buddy, Lambert!  Emile orders you to kill him and Jamie is in the room with you.  So if you kill Jamie, everyone knows that you are a traitor and they are ordered to kill you.

If you shoot Lambert, your trust will go up and Jamie will go rejoin Emile.  You get the benefit that no one is out to kill you, but Lambert says that you have to disarm the bombs and take them all out if necessary (same thing as if you kill Jamie).  Remarkably, even if you shoot Lambert in the head, he can still talk!

This guide chose to shoot Jamie.  So once the cut scene is done, head over to his body and scan his retina.  Don’t directly approach the door as there are two JBA’s looking for you.  Go to the right of the door and wait until they both pass.  One will head into the computer room and the other will go towards the furnace area.

Head out and left and pause before the lounge area.  There is one guard above you towards the exit sign.   Check your map and make sure the guy who entered the computer area is now following his buddy.  When he does, use your sonic emitter and aim it just above the guy who is one level above you, this distracts him so you can cross the lit area and head towards the mine assembly area.

Use the voice print pad and enter the once restricted area.  Head up the stairs and through the door on the right.  Go up and approach the next door.  Check your map for the locations of patrols before opening the door.  There are three guards in the low security corridor that you have to worry about.

Enter the corridor and hug the windows on your left.  Once you can cross over to the pool room side, do so and stick to the wall.  Move up towards the bathroom.  There should be two patrols near you.  One will pass you and head back towards the pool room.  The other will be passing Jamie and Dayton’s quarters.  Hug the wall opposite Enrica’s quarters and wait for the guard to enter the bathroom.

Go for the fingerprint scanner door and enter.  You will get a checkpoint here.  Go out the next door and turn right and use the retinal scanner.  Use the elevator and you will get a loading screen/checkpoint.

When the door opens you will be treated to the message that you are a traitor.  There is also one guard walking away from the elevator.  He will pause near the end and turn around, so just make sure you are in the dark.  When turns around again, move up and hit the light switch on the right side.

Continue forward and when you exit, turn left and hide in the dark.  The guard will notice that the light is out and investigate.  Hang here for a bit and check your map.  You want to move towards the next light switch when the patrol around the corner is moving away from you.  When he moves, hit the lights and move left around the corner.  Hop over the railing and put your back to the wall here and wait.

Use the keypad and enter, turn off the light on the right and wait, one lab tech may enter to check out things.  When he leaves, find the file cabinet in the right corner, that’s Jamie’s professional background info.  Open and enter the area and drop down the hatch to the right and next to the door.  Head around in an L-pattern and climb on the box.  Turn to the left and jump and pull yourself through the hole in the wall.

You are now in the flooded area.  Head to the left and put your back to the wall opposite the shelves.  A guard will investigate the area with a flashlight.  When he passes you, head out the way he came.  Take a left once you are out of the passage way and go straight towards the stairs.  Put your back to the wall on the stairs and move up the first flight.  Wait for the guard in the water to turn around and go back.  Then head up the stairs.  Turn off the light and check your map.

There is one guard who just entered the room next to you.  Enter the next room and hug the wall in the right corner.  Leaving the door open will distract the guard who is about to enter the locker room area.  When he investigates, go through the door he exited and go quickly straight and then right.

Go through the plastic coated tunnel and enter through the next set of doors.  You’ll get a checkpoint here.  You will also get a cut scene here with Emile making sure the scientists are taken care of.  You have 10 minutes to defuse the bomb. 

Head down the stairs and go right.  Put your back to the wall on the right side and wait for the guard to enter.  When he passes you, go through the door he came through and go left.  You can input the passcode or hack the door.  Either way, enter and go straight and hug the machine.  Equip your emitter and turn around, point it to the far left corner and distract the guards watching the ladder.

Head up one ladder, turn around and go up the next.  You should see Emile and one guard through the window.  Head to the exit, but be careful of the next patrol outside.  Stay in the dark and then hop over the railing.  This will distract him, sneak up behind him and grab him. Leave him in the dark.  Three more guards to distract or KO.

Go to the right and slip behind some crates.  Equip the emitter again and aim to the far pillar on the right.  Shoot it a few times.  This will attract all three guards.  The one up top will come down the ladder.  Start moving towards the stairs to grab him.  Remember to shoot once more with the emitter.  You should be able to grab the guard without being seen.  Drag him back to darkness and KO him.  Two guards left.

You are going to have to come up behind each one of them quietly.  To do so, use the sonic emitter and aim for the upper right corner of the room.  Shoot at least twice.  Now, move up on the right side (not on the platform).  Wait until both are down and moving to the right corner.  Use the emitter again (perhaps twice) and aim for the left corner (you can see it through the pipes).  Now, move up on the back guy slowly and grab him.  Take him back to the darkness in the right corner.  Quickly get out your emitter and aim for the left corner to distract the last guy.  Sneak up behind him and put him in the left corner with his buddy.

Now, we have to deal with Emile.  Head up the nearest stairs slowly.  Equip your emitter and switch shoulders.  Aim and fire to the left upper corner and this will force Emile to flip around and investigate.  Slowly sneak up on him and KO him.  If you grab him, you will fight.  If you just punch him, he’s out quickly.  Scan his eyes and then crack the safe.  Then you will have to hack the computer and finally play a little mine assembly action.  You have to guide the arm down (just keep your eye on the bullseye on the upper right part of the screen—keep it green).  Once you are down, it will latch on and you have to guide it back up, without hitting the sides.  Make sure to hold your breath as you ease the throttle.

Now the SWAT team enters and you disappear.  Mission complete.

Mission 11: Moss’ ship

Objective: Disarm bomb

Now you get a bonus mission after the credits.  You have to disarm the bomb on Moss’ ship.  Head up the ladder and hide behind the first object.  Wait for the meeting to break up.  Follow the last guy up.  You should  see a crate and a break in the railing near the bridge.  Pull yourself up and wait for the guard to exit.  Then pull yourself up and enter the bridge.  Moss has his back to you, sneak up and pull the left trigger to KO him.  Scan his eye and then carry him to the hatch with the ladder and drop him down.  Now get back up and pick the lock and then hack the computer to disarm the bomb.

Head back to the hatch with the ladder.  Wait for a second then open the door on the right and hop over the railing into the water.  To be continued…
