I had my Ruiner radar on last night.    It seemed that every time I turned around, you were there, so I felt obligated to shoot you.

There was an incident on Valhalla where you kept disappearing on me (your blue body on green grass doesn't work for me), so I kept having to flail around and try to find the red name above your head so I could spot you again.  Was it wrong for me to have been hoping that you were having similar issues seeing my red armor at that same time?

Wow I guess you were scoping me in big time!  Every time I spied an "Enf..." on the top of the spartan I looked desperately for cover or hoped to the gaming gods that you had already lost shield and just fired away.  Red characters were tough to spot on Construct but I could see OK on Valhalla (except for the shady spots).

It took me 3 matches to get my bearings in the game.  I felt like everyone who scored a kill on me was not in my cone of visibility.  And I was sober too!

Anyway, looking forward to downloading your clip.  Sounded like fun moment.

Hope you feel better soon Nien.  I need a distracting target for her!  Strep throat is working its way into the household now.  Crossing my fingers and washing my hands.

Very much looking forward on hearing how 1943 comes out.  For me, anything with Battlefield in the title is an all-nighter kind of gaming moment.

So how is this game? I saw it for like $20-30 at the store. Is it worth picking up?

I know you don't usually rent, but this was a definite rent-only for me.  It's a pretty simple, straight-forward shooter.  It's got some funny pop culture, inside gaming references.  Not a lot of replay value, although it's surprisingly long by most game standards.  If you're going to buy, I wouldn't spend over $20 on it despite it being clever sometimes.

Well, ladies and gentlemen, it has finally happened as I guess it would.  My 2006 Xbox 360 console, tonight when I was about to watch some Netflix, finally suffered from a massive and lethal 'RROD' (at least it was quick and she didn't suffer, bless her)!

Sorry to hear, my daughters was blessed with the pretty red ring Monday and another friend of mines last week. I wonder if they go in threes like celebrities?

Well, thanks for the welcome home guys.  I want to tell you all a story.  A love story.  I fell in love tonight.  I volunteer with my kids's swim team.  tonight, after a great meet (my daughter came in Second in Butterfly and Breaststroke), she invited a new friend over to the house.  As I was coming down the stairs, caring my Gears 2 xbox travel case, she says, in a sweet 14 year old voice "You play Gears?"  I was like "You know what Gears is?"  There insued a conversation, completely in Xbox lingo about her favorite games: all shooters!, Zombie killing and love of Dr. Pepper.  How could I not fall in love?  As I gave her a warm hug and wished the girls a good night, my wife came up to me and asked, "Did you KNOW her mom in college?"  It was like finding a long lost daughter.

Hey Everyone, did anyone see the deals they had at Gamestop this week. A bunch of games for $20, I picked up Bionic Commando. Been having some PC problems lately, so it was time to send the old one out to the garage and get a new one. So I picked up a 24 inch iMac, very sweet machine. I was a PC guy for years and I think windows 7 looks really good, but about a year ago my wife wanted to get a macbook, since that what she uses at school. I finally caved, but did not really want to learn much about it, anyways a year later and I am hooked, totally PC free now and loving it. Well time to stop messing with this thing and go to bed. And I think I am getting my xbox things straightened out so I should be back to regular gaming soon.

Mine is all jacked up because it is trying to load the site like it looks on the computer and that is way too much information for my LG Voyager.

Things to do while waiting for your 360. 1. Yard work 2. Go to the opera with the Mrs. 3. Go to the recital, be it dance or band with the kids. 4. Vegetate in front of TV while sending kids to get daddy beers/snacks from kitchen 5. Brush dust of Wii, play it, and remember why you love your 360. 6. Twiddle your thumbs until they cramp up. 7. Have a starring contest with the repair update service on XBL hoping for an update. 8. Cry yourself to sleep at night knowing that you don't have "your precious" for a period of time. 9. Watch the grass grow. 10.Start up a dust collection. Wink [;)]

Just a few suggestions to get you through these hard times.

Cell phones are for n00bs.  I don't have a cell phone either, nor do I want one.  I think they sum up everything that's wrong with society today.  I'll end there before I get on a really good rant and start shaking my walker in the air while screaming, "In MY day....!!!"

Sooooo, what's everyone doing this weekend?  I'm starting it off by refinancing my house, dog sitting, and having my family invade (most likely meaning my dad will hijack my 360 and play TH'E for hours on end).

I love my cell phone. I never leave home without it. Though I rarely do text messages and I think using it for the Internet is a total waste of money so I don't have those things on it. Which kind of is really an issue right now because I am due for a new phone on my plan and I am getting increasingly frustrated with the world of Cell phones right now because I can't find one that is just a dang phone.

They are all now these monstrous contraptions with full key boards, widescreens, etc. I just want a phone. I don't need it for music. I don't need it for web browsing or email. I use it as a phone and pocket watch and that's pretty much it.

I certainly don't want some giant brick in my pocket that is one step below a laptop computer.

I'd be happy just getting a new one of the same model I have since it's almost 3 years old now and the battery doesn't last more than a day anymore but nooo. You can't do that. Sure I could buy one second hand or some other secondary market but then I don't have the discounts and insurance that you get from the phone company.

I have had the same cell phone for 6 years. Verizon is giving me a new phone for free because they have told me that my phone is going out of date. I have had no problems with this cell phone at all. Heck Im still on the original battery. I could honestly careless about an upgrade.

Cell phones are nice to have in emergencies. But I get more calls from people trying to get my business that personal calls. It's almost as bad as home phones. We're actually about to get rid of ours and get just one for the soul purpose of emergencies.

I concur!  I have likened cell phones to dog leashes!  It's ridiculous how everyone, everywhere feels the need to stay in constant contact with everyone else!  Why must we be in contact 24/7?!  My wife and I only use ours on an emergency basis, and in fact, I am proud to say we're not even on any kind of slave plans....we've got prepaid!
As for our weekend plans, that's non-existent.  My wife is working the night shift, and I will be working the day shift (12 hours)....we're like, as Frank Sinatra put it, strangers in the night!

Cells.........No more home phone.  Never there anyway.
Kids Text more then talk.  They are atleast learning how to use a keyboard with their thumbs.
Built in Caller ID.........I couldnt live without this feature.
Plays my favorite songs as ringtones.  Love to hear who is calling before I even look.
Handy Flashlight, Calendar, Rolodex, WATCH and Photo album.
LOVE the silent feature and that it can be left behind on family outings.

I do wish that they had better games on the cells, bigger buttons for man sized fingers,  and cheaper family rates.

Orion Nights

btw, between my kids, last month the three of them sent over 85K Text Messages.
