That sounds interesting, Americans used airships to escort ships and to also spot enemy submarines. Only one Airship was ever shot down. And none of the ships that were escorted by the airships, sank.

Some airships also carried some depth charges aswell, and other weapons. History is a very interesting subject to learn!

The American navy is a very good navy, but China can match it with there modern ships. Well the British/Australian SAS are generally considered to be the best in the world, and every single US special forces base their traing on SAS tactics and Training.

Plus The British can call on the Ghurkas from Nepal, considered some of the most fearsome fighters around.

And anyone knocking the Canadian miltitary needs to learn a few facts, Canadian soldiers are highly capable and are usually called into action to work with the British.

Some of the most succesfull special ops missions in world war 2 were carried out by Canadian and Australian commandos.

Noone mentions the Swiss or the swedish army, and they are not to be messed with either.

Eveyone knows America would overun most countries by sheer numbers and Technology, but if you matched up man for man you would struggle against a lot of countries.

Because your military is so large, each individual soldier has less time and money spent on his training, all those other countries invest a lot more time and effort into each soldier.

Dont forget the US Friendly fire record, by far the worst anyone has ever seen. You killed more canadians than the enemies did in iraq and afghanistan

Actually bombed allies in Iraq that you were supposed to be providing cover for

Over thirty four instances of friendly fire in a 12 month period  US incidents =34 Other allied countries = 0

And the US militart themselves blamed it all on a lack of training ( thats right your own military admitted it )

Do you know what they had to do to sort it out ( and this is laughable ) They had to ask the british to come over and show them how to recognise British army Landrovers and other vehicles and markings.

Your own military brass also admitted that the US troops may have had trouble recognising other allied countries flags. Your own military had to get anti friendly fire training while they were in iraq.

 

Now this in no way takes away from how brave and genuinely deserving of respect each member of the US military is, but the fact is the Miltary is spending to much on technology and not enough on training.

Name a country that has better training than the US Military?  Behind in tactics and training?  You've got to be kidding.  The only European country even comparable in training is the UK.

The American military dwarfs the European military in both size and capability.  The French, German and British Armies combined are about the size of the US Army.  There is no doubt that the US Army is heads and shoulders more capable and better trained.  Factor in the the USAF and USN, there is no contest. 

Those are the facts, so feel free to try and argue it.

 

Well the British/Australian SAS are generally considered to be the best in the world, and every single US special forces base their traing on SAS tactics and Training.

Plus The British can call on the Ghurkas from Nepal, considered some of the most fearsome fighters around.

And anyone knocking the Canadian miltitary needs to learn a few facts, Canadian soldiers are highly capable and are usually called into action to work with the British.

Some of the most succesfull special ops missions in world war 2 were carried out by Canadian and Australian commandos.

Noone mentions the Swiss or the swedish army, and they are not to be messed with either.

Eveyone knows America would overun most countries by sheer numbers and Technology, but if you matched up man for man you would struggle against a lot of countries.

Because your military is so large, each individual soldier has less time and money spent on his training, all those other countries invest a lot more time and effort into each soldier.

The main reason America is doing less than stellar in Iraq is quite simple.  America spent the last 50+ years training to fight the Ruskies on the plains of Germany in all out WWII style, mechanized warfare. Now, we've forced this army, trained in mechanized warfare, to fight an Urban conflict, and put limits on what it can and cannot do.

Hell, we could turn any city on Earth into a parking lot in less than 24 hours with conventional techniques but that would be immoral.

You should probably check the news more. Thing in the sand box are actually progressing quite well. We are actually letting the natives handle a lot of the work now. I was hoping to go back but I don't think ill be done with my current duty station in time.

The us alone represents 53 % of the WORLDS navy. Just in case you were interested in informing yourself. The US navy has about 1559 ships. Japan has about 147. Infact Germany, France, UK, and Japan all combined have about 550. Thats not even half the US numbers. Still think they could kick our ***? FYI the second highest naval power is Russia sitting at 526 total ships.

Actually the US only runs around 300 ships, and only around 15 of those are aircraft carriers.
