As many others in this thread the last song I have for "Lord of the strings" is of course GGaHT....I get to 80% everytime....I fail same spot everytime when the red-yellow-green hammer on's start....I started on expert so refuse to go all the way through "Hard" just for that one song so guess keep practicing and "hit moar notes" ;)

yesterday i pwned green grass and high tides !!!


Save as much of overdrive as you can,
when it goes to zigzag triplets
switch on your right hand to solo buttons
PWN those first triplets
and use over drive on the second set of them

after them,bank more overdrive
and use it against the fast triplets at the end

my english is not good enough,but i hope you can understand it

Well so much for "refusing" , went through the entire "Hard" tour yesterday if for nothing else the achievements and more practice. This ggaht is the last song for lord of the strings...been practicing it for about a week everyday now.

AbyssWalker I have tried quite a few ways on those triplets...in fact they are what gets me at 80% every single time...I went into practice and put it at 50% speed, I figured out the "lick" there....leaving index finger on red, hammer on to the yellow and then a really fast slide with index to green and back to red also for those of us using gh les paul controller if we miss one of those hammer ons we have to re-pick it , its not like the solo buttons at the bottom of the strat where you can just start hammering on again without picking...I am up to 70% speed now nailing that part...only 30% more to go (faster) , but lets say I get that part.....after that comes the next big hurdle....it's the Pick orange- pull off blue - pull off yellow - pick red  really quite fast if that red was a hammer on probably wouldnt be a problem but any song that has HO/PO with a picked note both before and after kills me. Guess just going to take alot of practice and as many others say here "hit moar notes" , by the way....any tips on that orange-blue-yellow-red with the two picks at start and end of the lick ?  Did you have any problem with that one?

I have the last 2 songs left in the expert drum tour, and the last 2 cities in the expert vocals tour.  Then it's 1000/1000

Also, the 'pwned' expression is dumb as 5hit.  where would something as dumb as that come from anyways?

Right now, i am stuck on that david bowie song on hard guitar tour!!!!!

Dead on Arrival and Detroit Rock City (?) on Expert drums. I can probably do DRC with a bit of practice but DoA is gonna take me forever seriously. :l

Just go into practice mode and practice the snakes and slide downs using 2 hands. That's how I finally got that part down and passed it.

PICNIC--Problem In Chair, Not In Computer (My new tech support motto)

Still can't finish Flirting with Disaster on guitar on hard.
Gave up on it for awhile and played the game on expert.
Now I still can't finish it despite the fact that I only have 4 songs left to go on expert.
The solo gets me every time.

I barely play Rock Band by myself anymore, but Green Grass and High Tides is a total killer for me still, and Snow (Hey Oh), is still challenging but I just haven't gotten into that, otherwise it's the same pattern.

PICNIC--Problem In Chair, Not In Computer (My new tech support motto)

I know you posted this a while ago but it took me a year to beat that song! I just beat it a month ago after 60+ tries over a year. I have problems redoing songs that are so long and I would always make it to 85-92%. I wouldnt touch it again for days sometimes weeks. I'm just glad my girlfriend was there to see so I didnt have to celebrate alone like when I finally got mile high club in cod4.
