On an interesting sidenote, Final Doom on Hurt Me Plenty is considered on the difficulty plane of somewhere between Nightmare and Ultra-Violent in the original Doom.

doom 2 level layouts are garbage. doom 2 will never be seen on my gamercard.

I redid Doom and it took me 6 and a half hours on Ultra-Violent (yes it was in one sitting).

i have to say that this game really rocks!!!

i never played doom  till a few ago when i got the game from the marketplace. the leveldesign is really good and
it hat some nice challanges. i played the game right on ultra-violence and in the end the diffilculty wasn't as hard as some of people made me believe. nightmare on the other hand is really tough.

anyway... the 400ms point were well spent


ohh and i unlocked all achievements

Finally went gold and got the multiplayer achievements. Really enjoyed the game and I hope we get Doom 2 and more soon.

Single-player or multiplayer? Elaborate what it is, please?

The glitch basically allows you to trick the game into thinking you're in deathmatch while you're actually playing single player. Therefore the map you're on will have no enemies and respawning items. This allows people to get through levels they otherwise wouldn't be able to complete.

Can't see the sense behind using this glitch anyway. Doom isn't that hard you know (at least it should be doable for everyone on hurt me plenty).

Yeah. The first few levels (especially the first 2) are the toughest IMO.

If you're used to playing this game over and over on PC, the game is just review, but it's definitely a challenge for a first-time player of the Episode 4 levels.

Hey peeps got a big Problem and im Hoping someone can help me out,
2 things.

First Im Stuck on 82 Kills on Multiplayer - Ive played it with friends on Ranked matches. and it wont go over 82 or 84 i think it is. so cant get the Achivement..

Second and this REALLY pissed me off.
I attempted the game on Ultraviolent, and Finished it 2 weeks later with lots of relief and stress of getting lost around the maps. but when i did eventually finished it no achievement! :( :( :( :( :( :(

im 10/12 cant get them

Phoenix, are your matches ending? You have to set a kill limit and/or time limit so that the match comes to an end and you see the end of game stats. Otherwise the kills won't count. I'm not really sure what to say about the ultraviolent achievement. You did it all by yourself and not in coop right?

I've recently finished the whole game, including the secret levels, on Ultra Violent mode which gave me the Rampage one. I already had both multiplayer kill achievements thus I'm in at 200/200.. Oh yeah the only levels I had serious trouble in were E4L2 (if I remember correctly :p ) and another one that came later in that episode. I haven't used the BFG that much, only a few times as 'backup' when I was 'out of' normal ammo. I'm looking forward to the similar game Duke Nukem 3D (coming on 24th), achievements shouldn't be that hard, as difficulty doesn't matter..
