Sad [:(]We keep hearing that Tombraider Anniversary is now on Xbox 360, in several episodes, so where is it I ask?  I must say that as a dedicated Tombraider player I was amazed that the very expensive Xbox 360 was not immediatley featuring the latest disc of this very popular game. I almost wish I had bought a playstation. We don't all like shoot em up games you know. Regards Tadpoles

Meh, how do you think the PS3 experience has been with a lot of the multiplatform games being released up to 9 months later on the PS3 after it's 360 release? Heck the Wii edition was announced shortly after its confirmation for PC, PSP and PS2 and it was bumped to November. We will have the TR:A disc next month though, and at a decent price too, given it's development and late 360 launch. The 4 anniversery episodes have yet to be released though.

Re: What the ***

I think your Xbox might be running slow, my load times are not bad at all. Speaking of Halo 3, what a great game. The graphics are not quite Gears or Bioshock quality, but a great game. I don't think I will ever play Halo 1 or 2 again.

Re: This Week in Xbox: Column feedback, discussion, Q&A, etc. (possible Viva Pinata spoiler)
Viva Pinata is NOT the game to get if you want a lot of killer action, but it IS a very nice game to sit back, water and let grow.  I'd have to say that in order to get certain animals to live on your farm you have to let them eat others is kind of entertaining. Also the fact that you can walk around and beat all of your own pinatas to death...then just let the first worms come back and start again is also fun.

i would love to see estimated times for system updates and game compatibility updates in the monthly schedule/weekly report. Uh...you could talk about the new Zunes coming out and the updates for those! Theyre fantastic! You could relate how they work well with the 360 and how future improvements could possibly mesh xbox live marketplace with Zune Marketplace...for instance the possibility of taking videos from your xbox and putting them on your zune...i mean a purchase is a purchase, right? You should also give some info on the updates in the HD DVD players and the strides that toshiba has made. Tell how HD DVD will win the format war because of the latest company support and stuff. You could give some new info on the OLED's that will be coming out soon. ja...some of that would be cool :)

Absolutely! It would be really nice to browse the internet on the big screen.

Wonder if they would use mozilla? (kidding).

I am a video downloader of marketplace.  I would like to see if microsoft can sort your video's by not only by name (which they do now) but also sort by season & show number.  When you download a TV show it sort by name but in the order you downloaded it.  I love Martin I download show 14, 18, 9, 10.  That is the order they show up in under the Martin group.  With the correct sort it would show Martin 9, 10, 14, 18.  I would like to watch a season of the avatar but I have to search around for the correct show number.  Some shows are more interesting than other at the moment but have the whole series is nice.  Also include a feature that would allow me to choose wheater to watch one show or the whole series on my Xbox.Smile [:)]

Re: This Week in Xbox: Column feedback, discussion, Q&A, etc.

As I've mentioned in the column, I can't talk about anything that's not officially announced yet, for the same reasons Major Nelson mentions on his podcast. First, if they weren't secrets, they'd be announced. :) If I talked early about dates and features, there'd be too much chance for disappointment if those dates and features slipped. (As can often happen with software... Sometimes things have to be postponed in order to create the best, most reliable product.)

And though I only directly work on the Xbox.com site, I do pass on the suggestions here. (Such as the seasons -- I definitely agree that it'd be great to make it easy to determine episode order. I'd love to see that, season passes, etc. in future revisions, and I'm passing on my own suggestions to the product teams as well!)

This topic's best for talking about what you want on the site, rather than what you want on the 360 itself. For that one, I can pass the requests on, but the most efficient funnel of the info to the product team is to e-mail Major Nelson at major@xbox.com.

Nothing's been announced about a Halo 4. I'm sure if there is a Halo 4 someday, there will be a somewhat... loud... announcement about it. :)

Denny, is the size of your column strictly limited? If so, tell me where I can go to start a petition to get you more word space, 'cause I'd like to see more in-depth feedback from you on your personal impressions of all the games you play each week when they debut.

For example, in your last column you mention that you're the guy with the dark circles under his eyes from playing Mass Effect (lol), but I'd like a lot more from you on that. It doesn't necessarily have to be a full-blown review, if you don't think that's your thing, but put us on your gamer's couch and tell us specifically WHY you got those circles ... gimme more, bro, gimme more.
Wink [;)]
As for me, I'm finding Mass Effect to be the most addictive new game since Crackdown dropped. It's like that good book that I just can't put down. I just started it this week, but I'm loving it so far.

Re: This Week in Xbox: Column feedback, discussion, Q&A, etc.

My 360 is gone forever. I sold it last night on Ebay so I would have more money to spend on games for my Playstation 3. The 360 is a good system, just not my favorite. I especially don't like the bogus reviews I've read about Xbox vs Playstation games on the web sites, and the Gamestop "sales people" that seem to be getting some sort of perk or kickback from Microsoft for upselling the BOX. I also think it's crummy Microsoft charges it's users for their online service seeing as the customer already paid so much for their sytem and whatever games they are playing. Besides, the advertising pasted all over the 360 dashboard is rediculous. And not like you have not heard it a million times, but nice job selling a product you knew was defective. Later Microsoft!!!

Re: This Week in Xbox: Column feedback, discussion, Q&A, etc.

Wow!  I'm going to have too many choices come Christmas morning.  While I've already played (and am still playing again) Halo 3, BioShock, and Guitar Hero III, I know that Christmas is going to bring Rock Band, Call of Duty 4, Dirt, and hopefully Mass Effect.  My gamer tag says, "Only the best played".  For me, that means I only give up my valuable time for the best quality games.  And for 2007 there are just too many great games to pass up.  The XBOX team deserves a break along with all of these game publishers.  Job extremely well done.  Now, please take a break and give me some time to play these titles.  My kids and I are definitely going to be competing for time on the console Christmas Day!

Merry Christmas and Thank you!

Can't wait for Far Cry 2! Loved GTA IV, but where's the DLC?

I don't suppose we have answers to the H3 questions? Ohh'well.
I may get Viva Pinata after christmas after hearing such great things about it. It seems like a nice break from GoW and BF2:mc.
I havent tried RoboBlitz, but is it worth the points? I enjoy most puzzel games myself, but checking out the product info, it really doesnt tell us much about the game. I mean every sensetence says physcis, unique, innovative, or some related synonym. Is there just no clear way to describe these unique innovateing physics? Indifferent [:|]

Any chance we'll be seeing shipping news for "Blue Dragon"?

I often play a calmer game, after playing multiplayer shooters on Live. My game of choice is UNO though.

I'm sure Gunslinger will appreciate you pointing him out and laughing at him.

Gears of War, Battlefield, Halo. They're all great, but I do like something nice and entirely different to switch off to every now and then.
If you haven't you really should give Viva Pinata a try. Personally I thought it was one of Rares best titles they've had in a while.
