Same here.  I have it all finished up except the challenge canisters.  I think I am going to try to finish those up tonight before gaming with Reckless.  That's 100 pts, and it will put that game at 1000/1000.

I played some of II long ago.  I played the heck out of TCS.  The finished at 100% is time consuming, but it is so fun.  And kids love it too.  Its a win win unlike Barbie Horse Adventure which was torture when the girl asked for help. Sad [:(]

I'm throwing this out as a possible starting time:

9:00 p.m. Eastern/6:00 p.m. Pacific on Saturday, April 19th.

If someone can't make it right at the start, s/he should feel free to jump in later that evening.  I will plan on playing for at least a few hours.

2d = good

3d = bad

That's the key to sucess for that game, imo.

I know you miss 3d but its time to move on. You might not like Street fighter 4 then. If you like 2d you probably like Guilty Gear.

That's the key to sucess for that game, imo.

I agree but at the same time, it does look cool. I'm willing to give it a chance. I think they should keep the 2D engine and use 3D graphics. That would be awesome looking.

   Idk. The last and probably only 3d MK I have played was MK:DA. I liked it, and had fun playing with the kids. The only thing is after playing this and then returning to it, I found it to be very clunky in the animations and controls. If they could capture the feel of Soul Caliber in the MK Universe, I think they'd have a 3d winner.

   Although I'm a 2d fan, I do like being able to counter with dodges and then strike while the other player is off balance.

Honestly... why bother?

That is a very good suggestion. I think that would make the franchise flourish as long as they kept the MK identity and didn't clone SC...

How's everybody doing today?  Hope you're all enjoying the weekend!

I really liked Armeggedon, but thought it was stupid to have all of those characters and NONE of their original Fatalities!  While creating my own was alright, it should have been in addition to the old school Fatlities and not the only way.  I do agree that Soul Caliber (weapons-based) and Virtua Fighter (hand-to-hand) have a good grip on the 3d fighting realm and should be required play for any company trying to enter this genre.

Re: GamerDads version 3.0 (aka GamerParents)
To me, their is no way that MK or SF can survive in the 3d game world.  I also played a 3d MK and enjoyed it (I think DA, and not Armageddon), but will forever link the best years of MK to 2d.  Soul Calibur, Tekken, and VF are 3d through and through, and don't have strong 2d roots so any time the other 2 series (MK, SF) try to 3d it, they will be compared to the other franchises (SC, Tekken, VF) and thus fall short.  I think SF IV will be incredible because it 2d with HD graphics.  That's where MK should be going, imo of course.

Marvel vs Capcom 2 has 3d images. SF 4 will do well becuase it has a strong fan base. 2d still alive evo always does tournament on fighters and most of them are 2d. I love 2d but 3d is awsome as well such as Tekken, DOA, and VF.
