Roughly 2.5 playthroughs. 1st on normal using only the Plasma cutter. About half of the game + to get all the other weapons maxed out, and then the impossible

Impossible mode wasn't all that difficult, it was just time consuming. The real annoyance was the ADS achievement

 all done 3 play throughs. used old saves from my fist play through on hard to get "don't get cocky kid" and that other one

Just finished it all. Took 4 playthroughs for me. In retrospect I could have done one gun on impossible, but didn't think I could at the time. Either way, 100% baby!

I guess I can sign too. 4 playthroughs, the only-plasmacutter run archivement done as last one. Impossible mode was seriously hell, especially the USM Vailor. But I made it! :D

The sequel is coming out next year according to EA.

As for the prequel, if you don't own a Wii, you can watch Dead Space Downfall, the anime movie which IS the prequel to Dead Space that the Wii game is based on.
