That would be awesome!   I could sit on one side of the map, launch 1 missile at the shipyards and 1 missile at the airfields, do nothing and win!  Damn that would be a fun 30 seconds.  Select the sub click RB "nuke" then send it to the shipyards, repeat for airfields.   And just think, the japs wouldnt be able to detect your subs either!

Do you think Japan doesent have a modern navy too? China, Swedan and Norway all have some of the best navys in the world and probaley could defeat the modern American navy. Actually Germany, France, United Kingdom and Japan inculding the above could all kick the USA's navy's ***!

I love people who post opinions based only on their gut feeling. You are dead wrong. The US is basically the only naval power in the world. Ranked the first in number of ships and soldiers. The us alone represents 53 % of the WORLDS navy. Just in case you were interested in informing yourself. The US navy has about 1559 ships. Japan has about 147. Infact Germany, France, UK, and Japan all combined have about 550. Thats not even half the US numbers. Still think they could kick our ***? FYI the second highest naval power is Russia sitting at 526 total ships.

i love people who reply to 2 month old dead posts.

Especially when they come in thinking they know everything, and all they manage to do is show everyone how inaccurate they are.

LOL and you know? I consulted several naval statistic sources for my numbers. Did I say on active duty? No I said total number of ships(responding to your other remark). Not to mention. Do you think the naval powers of the world release complete accurate numbers of all their ships? Or do you think is possible there is still some secrecy when it comes to military strength and numbers?

Aww!! Isnt the little Commie precious. Dude, Japan's Navy is OUR Navy. Most of their ships are hand me downs or carbon copies of our ships. Just because your Navy is rotting in Murmansk dont be mad because our Navy is still dominant by a long shot.

Bottom line, put the US Navy on one side of an ocean and put the rest of the world's (ROW) navies on the other side.  The US Navy would destroy the ROW navies in a week.  The difference in capabilities are simply night and day.  Thinking otherwise is simply stupidity.  To illustrate this, a single US aircraft carrier is more capable than all the ROWs carriers combined.

LMAO

Ignorance is bliss huh?  Lets go down the list shall we.  SS are good for defending coastal waters, not great in blue water.  So, the ROW can defend a coastline really really well.  Of the rest of the worlds SSNs, only the British Trafalgar boats can compare to the bulk of the US submarine fleet, LA Class boats.  The Seawolf and Virginia boats totally outclass anything in the world.   The CG class is really muddled with the larger destroyers out there, besides for the single Russian Kirov ship which has limited utility.  US DDs are heads and shoulders above anything outside of the 6 Japanese Kongo/Atago ships.  Aircaft Carriers?  Are you kidding.  Take a look at the airgroups each of the carriers carry and compare that to what a single Nimitz CV can bring to the table?  Heck, US Amphib ships can carry as more aircraft than most VTOL carriers out there.

We're not even factoring in recon satallites, GPS (which the US controls), long range aircraft, training, ect.  Each of which multiplies the great qualitative advantage the US holds.

Sorry to burst your bubble with a healthy dose reality.

I think a WWI based game would be a lot more interesting than any other ideas I've heard of.
