You must be right.  I should've known I'm a self-important idiot (a word, or not?-who knows...).  And to think some punky little kid named zeppy-junior with a gamertag of some homo-bear was the one to tell me.  Interesting...

Look kid- if you've gotten something to say, I suggest you PM me.  You're clearly about 12 years old, which means you shouldn't be using the internet to say whatever you want.  Would you call me an idiot to my face?  I would beat the living sh*t out of you kid.  Learn to use the internet right.

You probably didn't even buy your d*mn copy of the game, so who are you to say anything?

For those of you wondering, I do have a gold account.

Take it easy

Honestly, if you can't let a stupid comment by some kid from another state who has no idea who you are roll of your back, I suggest realizing something - you could be the better man and just let his remark end there; don't stoop to his level.

My two cents.

Actually I retract what I wrote yesterday, I was just miffed that I lost an hours gameplay as I was about to finish it.

Re-read my post and am surprised at myself that I called you an idiot. I read it was an official post and thought you worked for LucasArts who I was annoyed at not you presonally.

So I apologise, I actually think you should probably have your advice as a seperate thread stickied at the top of this board as it is very useful.

Clear Cache:
To perform the function, access 'memory' in the system blade, and then highlight the hard drive. Now press: Y, X, X, LB, RB, X, X. The following message should appear: "Do you want to perform maintenance on your Xbox 360 storage devices?"
"No, I will not shoot that lion!"

Tried again for the 4th or 5th time this weekend to get past the stream in Endor.  No luck again!

Stood around waiting for the other characters to cross the stream and they just waited for me.  In the end I crept into the stream and went 3 steps to the left before it crashed.  Not sure what to try next as this was also a friends disc I was trying instead of mine in the hope it would help.

I hate this F'ing bug!

The same thing happened to me a few times. Do this instead:

Select R2-D2 and go left, up the stream. When you get near the top the rest of your party will cross. Go back the down the stream to the crossing point and cross the river. Don't shoot anything at all until the storm troopers appear as that can also trigger a freeze.

Man it's been a really long time since I've posted in this but I had to come back and check what's going on...

I just want to reiterate that I was about to take Lego Star Wars II outside and set it on fire and I didn't care how much $$ I was wasting because the game pissed me off.

I played Super Story Mode IV at least 13-14 times and kept freezing in the same watery area in the Endor level. I tried all methods and all ways to get through but no matter what I froze. Recster here posted something about switching your char to R2D2 and slowly crossing the river. You'll see the rest of your group run across the river and wait on you on the other side once your rolling in the water. Keep going slow, slow, slow... You're up the bank on the other side. Keep going slow.. past the little fence to the next area full of enemies..

Before I knew it I was completely past the river part and engaged in a huge battle with the enemies. No freeze and I went on to get 100% on this game by beating this Super Story Mode. That is what worked for me.

All I need now for my 1000 is an undefeated in Death Star II which I've been sitting on for a long time.

91% overall achievement completion.

Re: OFFICIAL ANSWER

3 words = 'IT IS DONE!!!!!!!!!!!!' What a relief- so glad this is out of the way, horrible, just horrible.

A bit of feedback for anyone who is still trying to get past this absolute horror of a glitch.  I reckon it took me 6 or 7 times but this is what worked for me in the end.

First off, I played around on the single level version of Battle for Endor so I knew exactly what each character could and couldn't do before I got to the stream when I 'did it for real'.  I practised flying R2D2 over the stream at the far left where the dark force plants are so I knew I could cross there OK.

I then did the following:

-cleared cache using the 'full' method via the dashboard (the x,x,lb,rb,x,x thing)

-I powered off and removed the ethernet cable so I was no longer connected to Xbox Live

-Started the game and went straight to Ep6 superstory and turned off music and vibration as when the game started.

-Played through as normal until 'that' Endor level.

-Before crossing the stream I shot, collected, assembled everything I could.  When I got near the stream I left the game for a few minutes and did nothing at all.

-I then used R2D2 and went left, parallel to the stream until I got to the dark force plants.  I hovered across the stream and carried on keeping left through the field of carrots. I then met up with the other characters and continued as normal.

-Played through the rest of the game as normal until blowing up the Death Star.  Once the tower started to blow up I put the controller down and did no more.  I went away and did some chores.  When I came back it was done!

Hooray!Smile [:)]Big Smile [:D]Surprise [:O]

I just completed the VI super story on my fourth attempt.   I had 1 lockup at the river, 3 lockups exiting the Death Star.  I had to turn off music and vibration and exit the Death Star slowly while not firing at anything.  That did it...

Talk about an annoying bug, I will think twice before buying another LucasArts game.

I don't think the problem is necessarily LucasArts because many of thier games work just fine (Mercenaries, Star Wars Battlefront I and II, Knights of the Old Republic, etc.), it's just, for some reason, Lego Star Wars games come out with the most problems, it seems.

The crossing the river glitch isn't apparently limited to SuperStory mode.  I had it freeze the first time I played that chapter by itself, in regular Story mode.  I didn't blow up the plants, and stuck to the left, and made it across the next time.

Exactly the same here.. :)

After trying the R2 strategy (I couldn't get them to cross the river ahead of me) I kept experiencing freezes.  I ended up having my wife try it for me without telling her a thing about the freezes and guess what.  I come into the room later and she has passed the river!?  Maybe let someone do it who has no idea and they won't enter the situation with all these pre-formed ideas and fears.

I made sure I didn't fire a single shot on the way out of the death star, just to be sure and now have my 99 bricks.  Lord Vader is outside collecting studs for me while I finish my work.

If I'm crazy I'm right, if I'm wrong, good.

Re: Episode VI Superstory - Game Freeze Official Thread

Ok, I have to take a minute to vent my frustrations as well.

I'm now officially through 4 failed attempts.  Attempts 1 and 2 were freezes at the river.  On attempt 3 I was stoked to finally make it across the river.  That celebration was short lived, as the game froze on the story cut scene where the millenium falcon is shown exiting the death star.  Boy was I pissed off.

Convinced I had atleast developed a succesful plan for getting across the river, I felt pretty good about finally finishing this.  On attempt 4, my confidence was destroyed as the freeze ocurred at the river again.

I'm broken!

Re: Episode VI Superstory - Game Freeze Official Thread

My turn...

Had 98/99 blocks and everything completed save the Super Story.

Flying throw it until Endor...

Attempt 1 - As Han I ran straight accross the river blasting away and wham, freeze which brought me here...

Attempt 2 - Killed everyone and blasted all the plants, then as R2 slowly went into river, turned left, went slightly up and freeze! Gah. I had Vibration off.

Attempt 3 - Got through and here's how I did it.

Sound Off

Vibration Off

Bloom - 0

Destroyed everything in the area before the river.

Destroyed all the plants next to the Sith plants.

As R2 went up to the Sith plants (N of them) then jump hovered off and head NE towards the waterfall.

I then heard a blaster from the other side of the river so I knew my guys had crossed.

Went back down the river and  went up the bank and voila, no crashes.

Like many who'd be cursed here, for the finale after blowing the death star I was paranoid so I didn't fire a single shot. I just died a lot and weaved in and out.

Hope this helps.

100% complete.

Re: Episode VI Superstory - My freeze stories

Hey all, okay not to sound like a broken record, but here's what happened to me:

About 73% game completed, I have all the gold bricks and minikits from Ep IV, a few from Ep V, and a few from Ep VI.  I've got all achievements but 80% complete, 100% complete, Jabba's Missions, Lego Land, and Death Star II battle unlocked.  I have beaten all the super stories and wanted to knock out Ep VI b/c if I couldn't get it to work after a few tries I was going to beat the Jabba's missions, get the 80% and accept that the last three achievements won't happen.

1st problem: Locked up on the river.  here's why.  1) Read this forum and used R2 up the river.  Don't do this.  Take Han and just run across the river and into the next section (don't shoot the plants and kill all enemies first), your game will be fine (at least mine was and every little glitch I've heard this game having, my disc has, although I did buy it on launch day and haven't played until now).  2.) KEEP VIBRATION ON;  read this forum and turned it off so I wouldn't forget, this also caused the glitch as both Han and R2.  So far the game had frozen 3 times.

2nd problem: Locked up while leaving the death star.  Of course, forgot to turn off vibration.  Second time (and also 2nd time crossing as Han with vibration on and no lockup on the river) I turned off vibration during the luke/vader/emperor fight and got past it no problem.

3rd Problem: Couldn't beat it in time.  No problem.  Don't quit, just finish.  I finished in 1:08:00 and it gave me the brick, just no time bonus.

4th problem: Locked up on the ending sequence, however it successfully ended the final chapter so after I rebooted the gold brick was already unlocked.

Frustrating as it was, I've got it and now I'm cherishing it.  Having never completed the Ep VI super story in one smooth transition, I'm going to live with the glitched out way I finally unlocked this.  Now...onto 100%.

Same here - froze at the river last night. I just spent longer reading this thread than the super story itself takes, but at least I now feel like I know what to try to get past.

So looking forward to hearing that Achievement Unlocked sound for my 100% complete. Shouldn't be long now!

Well so much for that - froze at the river yet again - almost another full hour wasted.

Music off
Bloom down to 3
Less than 100,000 studs
Only killed the troopers on near side
Slowly took R2 up the river

FREEZE!

Next up:
Bloom down to zero
Vibration off
Kill all plants and shoot across before touching water

Man, this is annoying. At least the Death Star hang sounds easier to avoid (fingers crossed).

OK, so that DIDN'T work! I tried all of the above, and the thing still fraking froze on me. I had everything off, shot everything I could possibly shoot from the near side of the river, let all of my guys cross first, and freaking inched my way over. FREEZE! 55:57.93!

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA. So. Pissed. Right. Now.
