I have a lot of suggestions for what I want in future games. All multi player games should include system link (for example when xbl is down)  Ea is notorious for not having system link on MP games. All race games should have all the tracks available for multiplayer. I own the game, why limit my tracks? What if I don't unlock a track on a certain profile yet want to play it online? In FPS, I like open farcry like settings. I want destructable environments and realistic rag doll effects. And more debree flying around. I want more customization in avatars. Multiple ids. I've erased over my auto save in multiple games showing someone the beginning of a game. It drives me crazy. Skipable cut scenes. Co op makes a game much more replayable. Co op is big in my books. Have more options for online searches, including age brackets. Older gamers would like older players and I think younger players would like younger players. Have an option in racing games to level playing field. Meaning that you can change the cars looks, but not the performance. For some, tuning for a perfect car is fun. I want to see more balanced fun. More about skill and less performance tweaks. Have random map or track generators. So no one has an advantage. Its about skill not memorization. I've seen it on a console race game and on pc games. But I have yet to see a FPS with a random map generator. Some of my friends only play one map so they can learn it. I can understand wanting to be better on xbl. But random maps would change some of that. Kick out all cheaters from xbl.

Games that I want:
SSX4
Starcraft2
Dukenukem forever (nostalgia)
A horse racing game that you can also bet on the races instead of racing.
A good submarine game
Boats with guns
A good space combat game
More light gun games
A jet ski game
More Sci fi rpg.
Carmageddon splat pack ported to the 360

Oh yes, more exploding barrels and crates. All maps must have them :)

My 360 is gone forever. I sold it last night on Ebay so I would have more money to spend on games for my Playstation 3. The 360 is a good system, just not my favorite. I especially don't like the bogus reviews I've read about Xbox vs Playstation games on the web sites, and the Gamestop "sales people" that seem to be getting some sort of perk or kickback from Microsoft for upselling the BOX. I also think it's crummy Microsoft charges it's users for their online service seeing as the customer already paid so much for their sytem and whatever games they are playing. Besides, the advertising pasted all over the 360 dashboard is rediculous. And not like you have not heard it a million times, but nice job selling a product you knew was defective. Later Microsoft!!!

With all due respect, at any Gamestop or EB that I've been in since the coexistence of both systems, there has been no promotion that would raise suspicion of employees being "bribed" to promote the 360 over the PS3.  As a matter of fact, most of the "promotion" I've heard from the salespeople was in favor of PS3.  The people at Sony must think that gamers are stupid---thinking we would be fooled by the assumption that because the PS3 is more expensive, it should out-perform the 360.  WHAT A BIG, FAT, WALLET-DEPLETING LIE!

The truth is, when I have visited non-biased game sites like Gamespot.com (one of the best, if not the best site), they give each system a fair shake.  When it comes to graphics they give the marginal edge to 360 so far, and when it comes to games, online play, and content-they say that the 360 blows the PS3 out of the water.

Here is some late-breaking news about some pudding that was found with a curious substance within it that has been verified as...umm...TRUTH

The PS3 did not fair well at all at the Videogames Award Show (on Spike TV) this year.  These awards are voted on by gamers!  Did the PS3 even win a single award?  They did show some previews for some PS3 games (out of pity).  The 360 and its games (most, if not all of them exclusive) all but swept the awards!! Not even the Wii (which, except for its controller, isn't really a true, complete, next-gen system---its just a good party game system) only won one or two awards.

Defective???  First, you have to affective in the market before you can be defective.  Secondly, I've never had a problem with my 360 except when I had to clean the drive lens (typical maintainence).  Thirdly, I've heard very little from gamers online about the 360's problems.  I know there has been a lot of overhype about problems in the media.  The only thing I wish my 360 had was a quieter drive.

For me and most of the other ten million plus gamers on XBOX Live (and those 360 owners not even on XBOX Live) who only want and can only afford one system, we are saying "never say hello over-priced, under performing (I guess the Japanes love you and your no-nAme games?!) P_ _ _ _  [of] S_ _ _  3!!!!"

Well, having been around in the system wars from the Atari 800 vs. Commodore 64 / Amiga vs. Atari ST vs DOS / Nintendo vs. Sega days, I've learned that they accomplish... Nothing. :)

I have an 360 and a PS3. Hardware-wise, they're both great machines. Software-wise, though, the selection on the 360 just blows away the PS3. My PS3 is a dedicated Uncharted: Drake's Fortune and Blu-ray player. There are some good games coming this year for the PS3 that I'm looking forward to, but the 360 has another flood of good titles coming. And on my 360, I have a full friends list; on my PS3, I have 7 friends, and I've never seen more than one online at a time. So, for me, 360 FTW. But some people like different things. Arguing doesn't convince anyone.

Let me get this straight, I love my 360 it is definitley my favorite, but the 360 is more expensive than the PS3.

360 = $350, Wireless adapter = $100, if you stop there you come to $450 but if you want to add HD drive $180 and those are at current prices.

Even when the PS3 was $600, to max out the 360 would set you back $700 at the same time. Not including $50 a year for Xbox Live.

So I have never understood the argument about price anyways. IMO

Man, I hate being right all the time!

Re: This Week in Xbox: Column feedback, discussion, Q&A, etc.

It's not about price, it's about the games. Which platform has the games you want to play? The 360 has the biggest selection of native games, it has backward-compatibility with hundreds of great Xbox 1 games, over 100 XBLA games, etc. With games like Mass Effect, Gears, BioShock, Halo 3, etc. only on 360, that appeals to a lot of folks.

If another platform has games you like, then obviously, that's something to consider.

But I'd be hard to argue the 360 doesn't offer killer value with its game library.

I know it's not about price, but it seems that people want to lay it out there as an excuse.

Like I said my 360 is the console of choice (30 games) in my home. I just dont like it when all I hear about is PS3 (2 games) is so expensive.

All I am saying is that I have more money tied up in my 360 than my PS3.

I mean $100 dollars for a wireless adapter, seriously thats too much. I have 3 desktops in my home and the wireless adapers for them only cost me 20 bucks a pop.

Man, I hate being right all the time!

Nobody pays $100 for a wireless adapter. If you learn about networking, you know that any wireless adapter can be used, not just the MS version. Most people have wireless throughout their homes these days, and specialized, dedicated equipment is not required to get the 360 online. In fact, many people like me probably already have a switch with network ports available that they can just jack into via the 360's ethernet port.

Also, the great thing about the 360 is that if you're like me, and don't care to get involved in the HD movie format wars yet, you don't have to buy the HD-DVD drive, unlike the PS3 where the blu-ray is rammed down your throat whether you want it or not. That counts for a lot.

i think we should have a internet browser in xbox 360 over xbox live do think that would be great or not

I think that is a FAB idea...  An internet browser would be ever so cool~  But they would have to make sure that young kids cannot access certain sites.....  That may be why we don't have it yet....

Also....  About the gamer points.  I personally just play to play.... If I get lucky enough to score gamer points on the way...so be it.....

I just absolutely love my xbox 360......

I had a LOT of reservations about it...  Since I was acutally not impressed(sorry to say)with the original x-box(except for Dead or Alive....it so rocked)...

I was curious what everyone's best stunt run score in Burnout Paradise might be for the XBOX 360.  My personal best if a total of 101,141,920.  I used the Hydros Custom and the stunt run nearest wildcat stadium.  My best drift is also 86.5 miles which contributed to my nice stunt run.  Also, there was no multipliers for that score as well.  That is a solid score that took me about 2 hours to get of nonstop playing and I mean 2 hours on one try.  I have too much free time I guess.  Also my best burnout total is 449 burnouts which also contributed to that score.  From what I have practiced there are only 2 cars I have been able to do perform my trick.  The SI-7 which takes much longer, and the Hydros Custom.  Does anyone else have tips for the stunt runs to get enough points?  By the way, that score would have been trippled or more if I had realized another trick I found but I don't wanna give away all my secrets.

Re: This Week in Xbox: Column feedback, discussion, Q&A, etc.

Few Things...

Inside XBOX is alright, but needs more organization. I go there looking for thus info on my 360 and find info for crap I could care less about. Maybe a "pre-menu" so to say would be helpful, i.e.; New Arrivals - In The News - Videos _ etc... etcc... I would love to see a specific section dedicated to the arcade that actually contained information on new games and their releases. Could be some stuff in there i'm missing, i'm lazy, but hey, who isn't?

Concerning the game Mad Tracks. I love that game. I absolutely think its one of the best arcade games. But have you tried to setup a multiplayer game on it? Ever time you setup and choose the game then get your players and then play it afterwards the lobby closes. Instead of when the game ends just being able to choose a new track with your current player you have to redo every single mother of pearl thing. Thats really annoying, its almost as bad as trying to get an invite into a game (specifically free-for-all sicne you can't find a match while "in party" so if you got a slow friend the game will start and he won't get in if thats how its setup.) in COD4.

Concerning the billions of arses I encounter I read so many of you as well encountered, just submit player reviews. Its a pain in the ***, but only takes a second, and you'll never have to deal with their ignorance again. Don't waste your time giving the guy a chance, just block him/avoid him and be done. There are millions on xbox live, so its not like you won't find someone good to play with.

And yeah, my grammar sucked, but i'm lazy...

Hiya kids,

Sorry it's taken so long to respond here. Between the Great Power Outage of 2006 and the holidays, life's been crazy. To answer a few questions:

xxTheGunslingerx: When anything's officially announced about Blue Dragon's ship date, you'll see it on the Xbox.com Games page. Nothing has been announced yet for the US market.

InSaNe H34D6HOT: GameSpot's a great site -- I used to do some writing for them. While there are differences between a site like Xbox.com and GameSpot, we do plan to add even more info about individual Xbox games this year. More tips, more strategies, more behind-the scenes info, etc. And I'm watching the forums to see what people want from the site.

ruiner02970: I guess I've just had better luck with matchmaking in Uno. :) So far everyone's been fun and polite. I have heard a few stories, though, so I understand where you're coming from.

rite of passage: Once any downloadable content is announced for Gears, you'll definitely see a story on the Xbox.com home page or Games page.

ZenJD: Mac OS users definitely aren't intentionally left out. Apple's WMV9 component won't work?  If there's a problem, it may be the MMS configuration in the web browser, or no suitable player for ASX/WMV files on the system. Alas, it's been a year or so since I passed on my iBook G4, but I know with a few plugins, the Mac version of Windows Media Player installed, and VLC Media Player, I could play just about anything on the web.

I was in Ney York city when this happened...but i hear you, people can get very busy sometimes.

But anyway, we should have a blade on the dashboard for clans. So it can just be a clan in general and not just one game and you could sign up for things like gamebattles or another website hosted by microsoft.

   Thanks for listening. ;)

This might sound kinda weird, but I'd like to see an option on Xbox.com and/or on the Xbox 360 that allows you to manage your achievements/games played (i.e. deleting achievements/games from games list).  I have a few games on my games list that I havn't played the full arcade versions of but they still show up on my list, they're annoying lol Stick out tongue [:P]

Umm, please (1) don't use CAPS LOCK (HARD TO READ!), and (2) read the last paragraph in the This Week in Xbox column. I can't give out secret dates (they don't tell me most of this stuff till the tell you anyway ;), and I work on the website, not game updates, so unless something's been announced publicly (and if so, you'll find it by doing a search here on Xbox.com), I don't have info on stuff like game updates.

Sorry. :)
