Yes, and this was unsuccessful.

Sega's Chromehounds, but that was due to lag issue's on servers.

- Are you aware of the following support troubleshooting articles? If not, have tried the suggestions contained in them and was the information provided helpful in resolving your connection issue?
I have tried all of them and none of them helped.

- Have you checked to see if you have a strict NAT setting on your network? NAT can either Open, Moderate, or Strict.

My NAT is open.

- Have you checked for any issues with a network firewall?
Router Firewall was switched both off and on, it made no difference to the game failing to connect to a co-op game.

- Have you tried clearing the game's cache? The method can be found in step #5 of the below freezing article.

xboxlive needs to step up. refund ms points, take the game off the market place. then when its fixed put it back up. any other company would do that. why hasn't Microsoft? do they not care if their F-ing ppl?

well geez i am sorry, all i can say is that when i used wireless adapter it DIDN'T work, with the exact same symptoms described here and i used a wired connection it DID work.  And yes i noticed that there are people here who use wired connections, however it takes two to tango and it seemed possible to me that the people who listed their connection as WIRED here may possibly, concievably have tried playing with someone who was using a WIRELESS connection, i have absolutely no trouble whatsoever playing with any of my friends now whenever i make sure that both players are using a wired connection, so please can people please try making sure that when they try to play, that BOTH players are using a wired connection and see if that works please, i am only trying to help, mine didn't work, and this made ours work, so i am not saying thats the solution, but its the only lead i have found so far

oh, and by the way, even when we both used wired connections, there was still a pause on the loading and waiting screens, it just wasn't an indefinite pause like the way it jams when you use wireless connections, so if you are going to try it, at least give it a couple of minutes or something

Lucky... it's just bad network code implementation in the game...

*I DMZ my xbox360 to my router... (use xbox's MAC to grab same IP out of router, and turn off firewall to it completly)

*Never have issues with any other game online (not even lag!)

It's sad, but I'm now forced to "wait & see" on new games that come out to see if they have any problems. 

For $10, this game will probably never get fixed, but I would make the business decision to remove it from marketplace, before anyone else gets a sour taste in their mouth about arcade titles.

Also, consider yourself lucky that anyone even want's to troubleshoot this game... shouldn't the developer have had done this in the first place... especialy such a critical component like multiplayer???

I still love the cheap games, but man, I'm real cautious about buying the full version until it's got a decent rating in forums.

For the point that these games just cost lik 10 Bucks ore Euro's. when just 1 miljon poaple by this game we are talking about a hole lot more money(10 miljon).

I am still unable to connect.  if you can outline the steps you took to find a match or even setup a match where I am waiting for 30 minutes and no game takers, I would love to know.  I bought this game to play online.  Since i cannot play online I played it maybe 3-4 times max.  Thanks!

I just got a refund for this product which was sold to us all in a faulty state and falsely advertised as a game that worked via Xbox Live, which it does not.

I had started a class action lawsuit thread that got locked and a lot of folks were wondering if I had a case or not.  About 50% of the lawyers that I talked to thought I had a case and the others either didn't care or didn't think I had a case.  I talked to 8 firms.

I am finally satisfied by Microsoft's actions on this topic for my own personal experience and have decided not to go through the headache of suing.  I think there are too many lawsuits in this country anyway; but this issue seemed legitimate to me and I probably would have pursued the lawsuit if I couldn't get refunded.

The folks at Customer Service had to recover my Gamertag and test it themselves to FINALLY believe what all of us on these forums are saying.  After they saw it with their own eyes, and I jumped through hoops to diagnose it at home with them on the line, they finally refunded me the 800 points.  Don't give up.  Get your money back.  You deserve it.

I appreciate that both Microsoft and Sierra are working on this issue. Believe me, I've tried to take this matter as patiently as possible. However, how can you justify that this issue has been around for so long without having any sort of solution? It's becoming increasingly hard for me to accept that there's really someone looking at this problem. You shouldn't have this kind of problems in games that are advertised as co-op. Co-op plays a major part on this game. I got this game in the first couple of days it was out, convinced my brother to do the same, but haven't been able to play once with him. I recently tried again since there are people posting that they had been able to play, without success. Honestly, how much longer will we have to wait for a real answer? "We're doing our best" or "there are people working on this" is not enough. I want to hear someone saying that it's fixed. I have a great perception of Microsoft, I've been loving my xbox 360, but it feels like someone has to demand results from the people that made the game, or we will never see a fix.

If its Vivendi, they dont care. This is the same company that owns Blizzard. Vivendi only cares about bring in our money and doesnt give a damn about game design...

I have had 2 different ISPs since buying this $10 game ( which I consider to be a LOT of money for an arcade title that does not work properly) and used both wired and wireless connections to 3 different routers - not an exaggeration.  I am another one in the very long list of people that got this game for no other reason than the hours of fun we expected to have with friends in co-op.

I tried again tonight after taking about a 4 month break from this game b/c I was so ticked off.  To my complete disbelief it actually connected on the very first match.  BUT guess what, after completing zone 1, it got stuck at WAITING when it was loading zone 2!!!!!!  Then it didnt work about 12 more times in a row and that guy left.  Another guy joined and it failed a couple times, then it worked once, and Got stuck on Waiting for level 2 AGAIN !!!!!

Then, we were never able to get it to work again, tried about 20 more times.  This type of crap in arcade games is seriously making me sick.  IT IS SUPPOSED TO BE FUN, NOT FRUSRATING!!!!!  Not to mention it is INCOMPLETE, and I paid for it.  Do you think I can do my job in an incomplete manner?  The answer is NO.  And if there is a problem, I have to sort it out and smooth things over.  I can't just keep pushing out incomplete work.........

Poker on Arcade has a glitched achievement, Small Arms has a glitched achievement ( 2 glitch if the first one does), Tiger Woods 07 has a glitched online achievement ( 5 tourneys doesnt unlock anymore), and the list goes on and on and on.

I am like the previous poster - starting now I will wait for WEEKS after an arcade game I want to download has been released.  I will then make sure you can get all 200/200 points, and make sure everything about it that is supposed to work actually does.  That is a very sad thing to have to do.

And once you do get into the customer service ring of death phone call / email scandal, its a JOKE!!!!!!!!!!!!  It wastes so freaking much of our time and effort ( just like what is being done with me writing this post).  And all I want to do is play games online and have fun, not get bogged down like this.

It is 2007, we are on Gen 2 of the Xbox, and we get crapped on like this.  Might seem insignificant to some, but to me, my gaming time is one of the very few times I get to actually relax in an otherwise extremely busy week.  I work full time, go to grad school full time, have a wife, a house, and all kinds of other stuff to keep up with.  And I get home, pop a beer open, sit on the couch, pay $10 of my hard-earned money, and get WAITING............

Do you have any sort of specific update for us.  I really appreciate you coming onto the boards and letting us know you guys are aware of the problem.  But I haven't seen the kind of update I think most people want.  Have there been any findings that code may be bad or something of the sort?  Or do you feel it's something on our end?  Has the development team seen the problem first hand, or is this just information gathering at this point?

I just have this feeling because of the length of time this game has been out, and no specific update, that people are just waiting for this thread to die.  I hope this isn't the case because I can't wait to try this Co-Op.

I apologize if I'm mistaken and missed a post that had an update in it.  I did not read every post on this thread, just the last few pages (and could have still overlooked something:))

Is there anywhere I can find out if and when this bug is fixed?  I was going to unlock this game tonight and play with my buddy, but am not going to bother now until the multiplayer is fixed.  Should I just keep checking in here every few weeks?

I tried to do co-op for the first time this morning with a firend and we sat at the "Waiting" screen forever.  I tried to host and he tried to host, and we both met with the same result.     

One thing I wish MS would do is give us the option, when we delete an MS Arcade game, is the option to delete and have the MS Points (or a portion depending on amount time played) used for the game refunded back to our account.        

It does truly seem as though we have been forsaken. Got your $10; see ya suckers seems to be the attitude here. When basically every other Live game works, it has to be a flaw in the coding of AH. But Sierra/VU has never cared about any of their customers, and MS is too busy shafting its early adopters with the Elite edition to care about the people that got hosed here on Assault Heroes....

I just downloaded the game last night because the single player is fun so I figured the multi-player would be to. After about an hour stuck on the "waiting" screen I realized I'd be waiting a lot longer if I wanted an online match. I was hoping to find an answer here that addressed the problem but it looks like the powers that be don't really care. This game has been in the Marketplace for a while and I'm sure it's been addressed before. So, why no correction for Assault Heros online? That's really lame and myself along with my friends that downloaded to play with me are just as pissed. Come on guys! Get with the program and take care of the situation that YOU created for YOUR consumers!! If anyone has an answer on what's being done to correct this, let us know. That's just POOR customer service! -SIGNED and Annoyed!!!

triple ditto.  I can pretty much GAURANTEE this game is glitched for ever online and they just dont seem to care.  sure we get a 'support' person in this thread every once in a while... but no fix, *** that.
