Re: Does this compare in gameplay with Dark LEgacy???

It compares very poorly to Dark Legacy.

Imagine Dark Legacy without the hidden items, character building, or choice of paths.  It's essentially a linear hack and slash with no depth to it.  The XPlay review pretty much sums it up:  http://www.g4tv.com/xplay/reviews/34/Gauntlet.html

I'd love to see a sequel to Dark Legacy on the 360, or even backwards compatibility added.

Re: Does this compare in gameplay with Dark LEgacy???
I would say that it involves more skill than Dark Legacy needed.  I would tie rubber bands to my gamecube controls and load them in as nobobdy's so that extra portals would be in the levels and my player could get more experience.  After all the only requirement to Dark Legacy was the ability to hold down the attack button for an extended amount of time.  Whereas Seven Sorrows puts more thought into its use of combos (which you buy out of personal preference).  I also like how magic is automatically replenished so you don't have to go search for magic potions.  Your character does get upgrades thru out the game, such as armor and weapon upgrades.  The upgrades also change the appearance of the player but they are much easier to find than the hidden secerts in Dark Legacy.

Hey there, Sick.  If you're still checking in after 3 months, the game is backwards-compatible, and I enjoyed playing this game with my son on the 360.

Dark Legacy is definately not compatible with 360. And my old xbox makes noises comparable to a freight train full of knives hitting a big chalk board, every time I turn it on. Guess we're out of luck.
