Ok guys, this one is a useful tip on how to achieve the first seven levels without dying and get the achievement point...

1) Make sure you have at least played the game previously past level 7..

2) Start a new game AT level 7 ..

3) Believe it or not, yes complete level 7 without dying and it will give you the achievement point! :-)

Don't you just love the bugs in these new games... lol! :-)

Does anyone else smell a rat here?

You don't have to be a programmer to realise that this kind of "mistake" isn't difficult to avoid. I'm always reading about delays whilst games are going through rigourous quality control and certification processes and you would think one of the first test routines they would run is having people unlock all the achievements the right way, then having other people trying to cheat to get them. In programming terms, the code to get this right is beyond simple:

if (livesLost == 0 && currentLevel >= 8 && startingLevel == 1) { unlockAchievement(); }

You see my point. Obviously I don't know exactly how the game code is written, but it's not hard to imagine just how straight forward it is to check whether the requirements for an achievement have been met.

I've just seen this so many times now. They release a game with one or two glitched achievements, let a bunch of people get all the achievements and then correct the problem further down the line. And have you noticed it always seems to be the hardest achievements that it happens to? It's a conspiracy. Maybe they do it to encourage gamerscore addicts to download the game quickly before it's patched. It just seems like such a ridiculous "mistake" to have slip through the net as many times as it has done. Mind you, the glitched achievements that you can't get at all seem just as unlikely to me, and I can't see how they could possibly benefit the distributors.

I have 25 games played to your 56...by that logic your Gamerscore should way higher.  It's not a lack of skill in my case, but rather, I'm selective about what I play yet I still manage to unlock a good amount of Achievements. 

Stop cheating.  Simple as that. 

if you cant complete past level 7 without losing a life without using this glitch/cheat you are really lacking in skill of this arcade game to be honest.

I posted the glitch up for people to be aware of it! If you choose to come into this forum and learn how to do it.. don't complain that it exists, or that people use it!! At the end of the day, the only players who haven't cheated, are most obviously the ones who haven't posted in this forum.

WOW. i cant believe that actually worked. thanks alot. That achievement was startin to really **** me off.

Won't work for me...I set the level to "Level 7", then when I click "1P Start" is says "Round 1". What am I doing wrong?

btw I have unlocked up to level 8

360 finally back!

This also works for the completed levels achievement. Say you lose your last life on level 16. Start a new game, but on the black screen before you start, select the starting level, and set it at 16. KEEP YOUR CURSOR ON THE LEVEL SELECT TAB, and press A. You will start at level 16, and have 3 lives to beat it. Happy glitching, not CHEATING!!! lol
