Just got my copy of shadowrun for pc today ! Once I've finished the tutes and cut my teeth in botmatch, you will be seeing me online. Looking forward to being killed by you fine gentlepeople =)

When doing the tutorials, one of them does not complete right for some people.

If I remember correctly it was the Strangle tutorial (not positive, been LONG time since I've tried).

IF it does get stuck in that tutorial, simply restart the tutorials, but don't do the training, go straight to the bot match for that tutorial, and you will get your achievement for completing that level.

I decided to do the tutorials a couple of weeks ago just for fun and somehow got myself stuck in a strangle lol. It wasn't anything wrong with the game, I just casted the strangle in the right paces to make it happen. I don't quite remember how I did it but I do remember that I tried everything to get out of it and couldn't so I ended up restarting the game.

Just thought I'd share that with y'all lmao.

Strangle is STILL my worst enemy when I use it, at the very least I become the my own teams worst enemy when using it.

I rarely use strangle myself. I find it to be too much trouble trying to clear it if I don't have Anti-magic generators.

I might start using it more now tho since it's the only I achievement I have yet to acquire.

Tha AMG has become my best friend when using strangle or going up against a lot of Trolls or people using minions.

Otherwise the AMG is reserved for later purchases.

I know I'll never get all the achievements in this game.  I don't do well as Troll or Dwarf, so I'll take forever to get those, and forget Godlike, I was close 3 times now, as in at least two of them I KNOW I would have gotten it, but the server quit and connection was lost.

Meh.  I've never really given much thought to it other than that, so I can live without them.

I might boost to get Godlike. It is just one of those that most people would never get otherwise, and not having 1000/1000 is going to bug me.

Also, what the hell is with all the body clearers now?

I don't know if I'll ever get all 1000 in Shadowrun.

@VividNinjaScar - Make sure you stay away from games that are made up of mostly japanese players. Apparently, they consider body clearing as a must because everyone does it in their games. I got so frustrated with it one time I decided to retaliate against them and ended up with 20+ body clears lol

To answer your question, I think part of the reason is because there are some new players joining the game and I don't think they know any better. One new guy got kicked in a game and I ended up sending him a message to tell him why he was kicked so he might try to stop clearing.

Japanese players body clear because they're not making up rules. They just play the game as intended, like everyone else should. 

Also the best way to use strangle is to throw it at the guys feet and toss a grenade right after it. It also ends up clearing the strangle usually either way.

If everyone should play the game as intended then every body you come across you should clear.  If you choose not to clear that body then you aren't playing like you're supposed to.  Is that what you're saying Unyo?

@Unyobro - I'm not saying VividNinjaScar should stay away from japanese players because they're bad players or anything like that. I'm just saying it so that he doesn't play in a game that he won't like because everyone will be clearing. I don't fault any player for clearing (It is part of the game) but I just thought I'd warn anyone who hates it to stay away from the types of games that are sure to have players clearing.

Personally I'm annoyed with constant body clearing, but I suppose I'll get used to it.

Truth be told, I'd rather see more people playing the game in any fashion they like than less and less people playing.

@Prophet- I know what you're getting at. You've seen me play and you've seen me not body clearing. But you don't play with me all the time. If people are clearing in a game, I will too. If they're not, I won't. Either way it's my choice and I don't force it on others.

@DJ Da B3st- People who get mad about body clear should get over it. I get mad about SL but I get over it because it's part of the game. Sadly we don't have enough people playing to be so picky and keep looking for games.

@CaptJack- exactly, we should be more concerned with people playing SR in general.

I actually had a guy call a vote on me last night from the other team. I didn't get voted out but I sent him a message asking why anyways. He just said "body clear". So apparently he was mad because I cleared him. So I pointed out to him that his team was clearing me(and they were, a lot) and a guy on my team had 11 body clear to my 4. I hate morons like that. People need to grow up and learn how to play this game.If 90% of the game is clearing then you can either leave and cry about it or man up and deal with it.

GUILTY!!!  I miss the flame/debate days.  They seem to have gone from here.

yeah the first you were weak though, it only took two slices but the second one was a nice cut from the side for the bleed out, I was proud of that one

Aww I thought you were gonna post some footage of me killing you the other night, or even the game I finished with 0 kills. No one wants me in their videos. :(

Btw Sumostomp is my brother. He doesn't need me to make excuses but if that video was recorded recently then he does have one, hasn't played in months. But I'll let him know you pwned him and posted it on the forum. He won't care but I'll be able to laugh at him about it at least.

Well first of all it was a katana montage, second of all I wouldn't post me going up against a whole team alone and dying because the rest of my team doesn't know how to play, third of all if I did post Unyo footage it be the footage of me killing you in the middle of fighting 3-4 people and dealing with a teamkiller, which should have been me with the team that I had.  And Sumo was playing fine that night so he don't need an excuse, that had been the only time I had even came across him in the game.  And I do want you in my videos, I'm thinking an Unyo Montage or maybe an Unyo/YProphetY dwarf collaboration montage.

We need to do a few rounds a'la everyone is Dwarf but one player per team is Troll, Dwarves are Katana ONLY and no magic - Trolls get all money every round and buy whatever they want.  Troll is King and it's protect your King and kill the opposing team's King.

I know this game variant has been around for a while now, but once every so often it's a blast to play.

That does sound fun to play.

It actually didn't sound fun to me until I read the last line of it then it got me hooked. lol " Troll is King and it's protect your King and kill the opposing team's King". It's like Shadowrun turned into Chess. Count me in if you decide to go through with it.

I'd be down for a theme match like that.

@Prophet- I was joking around with you in my last post, you seem to take me at least somewhat seriously. I just wanna see myself playing SR on youtube. I'd prefer it if I did well but it's not a deal breaker, I can laugh at myself.

Like I said I sumo doesn't need me to make excuses but he's my brother so I feel like I had to mention his not playing for a while. Like me SR is his favorite 360 game. You should be seeing a lot more of him if you play at certain times.

I had fun the other day playing with VividNinjaScar. I ended up joining a game he was playing. He ended up betraying me at least a couple of times during the game. It wasn't because I was clearing bodies or anything. What I did was I got Gust. I was an Elf and decided to get Gust first round rather than Tree of Life or Resurrect. I later got Teleport and Resurrect.  I think VividScarNinja got mad at me because I was an Elf and I was suppose to get Resurrect.  I was having fun anyways so I didn't really care about what happened.

I betrayed you because I don't like you. I at least waited a few rounds.

Something about your playstyle really bothers people frenchy. I try to be nice but when you're in my games you always seem to do something to get on the teams nerves. I suggest you lay off scoring the artifact, clearing bodies and other annoying things. I'm not saying you should never do them but tone it down, like no scoring on the last round and only clear bodies of people you kill. Just some advice.
