Age-Restrictions on buying games

  • Level   1

I can not buy an M rated game I want, because "I am not old enough to buy this item". It is very peculiar to me considering I can buy games off the XBOX Live marketplace without having this age-restriction held against me. Why can I not from the Games For Windows marketplace?

I love Fallout. Trust in Steel.

Sorry for bumping. I found out that I must be 13 to purchase items, WHICH I AM. How else could I be POSTING ON THE FORUMS? My DOB was correct on my Live account, I even tried changing it to see if that would fix it. Why won't this fix anything?

The problem is likely that, when you created your Live ID, you were under the age of 13.  You have to sign into an Xbox and someone with a live ID with parental Rights needs to promote your Live ID.  You will have to do the same thing again once you reach 18.
