Hi Max4677- I can't find a reference to trub in either the OED or dictionary.com that is not in reference to a proper name of Truffle, or proper name for a city in Sweden.

Olympic should be added

A few notes:

"Oxo" is an adjective for something containing oxygen.  "Amu" isn't quite as clear...I only know it as an acronym for "atomic mass unit" but Wiktionary gives several examples of its use in other non-English languages.  Either way, its validity seems debatable.

Some acronyms and abbreviations are so commonly used that they eventually become acceptable as their own words.  "Jato" is one of these, which is why it's allowed.  Other examples are: "laser", "sonar", "scuba", and many others.  In that same vein, I propose that "radar" and "modem" should be added if they haven't been already.

"Rosacea" would be a good one to add.  I mean, "eczema" is accepted, so why not?

"Parisian" and "Olympic" are both proper nouns referring to cities (Paris and Olympia).

"Saigon" - former name of Ho Chi Mihn city.

not that proper nouns should be aloud in the first place. But if "Zaire" is recognized, why not Saigon?

most critically, it just denied me a 42 point triple word score.

(And yeah, I know IO isn't in the Scrabble dictionary, but we always include it with house rules.)

Botox isn't recognised

That's because it's a proper noun (and an abbreviation for "botulinum toxin").

Botox is also a word, since it applies to injections, not poisoning.

ADE should be a word

GI needs to be a word. Drives me nuts in Scrabble, too.

Just tried making the most of an awful set of letters by adding KIT to TOOL already on the board to form TOOLKIT, only to find it's not in the dictionary. Should be added as in common English usage - in England anyway.

Pete, they're the same thing.  When somebody gets Botox, they are getting an injection of botulinum toxin.  Botox is just the trade name, like Tylenol or Prozac.

What above about Frisbee and Bandaid? (Or aspirin, but the TM is lost)

Just found out that fuser is not considered a word...  I guess laser printers really are magical unless it is because some calll them fusing assemblies or fuser units.  I also had exabyte rejected.  I guess my Lumia cannot count that high since itt suggests i replace it with terabyte instead. :-D

Not Glycemic Index, 'gi' as in martial arts uniform or robe.  Seems reasonable given 'obi' and 'ahi'.

Gi in reference to a martial arts uniform is not recognized as a word by the OED- Oxford English Dictionary.

Technically, gi is an incorrect/slang term used in the U.S. and Keikogi or Dogi is the proper form.

How about 'minibar'?
