If its a one word password, you Might get hacked by this method.Usually People write code to do this, they don't sit there with a list and attempt to hack the accounts, it would be a waste of time - most Brute Force attempts are Dictionary Based. The others are combination based ie - aa; ab; ac; ad BUT - after X failed ...

Let me guess. Some joker told you he would make you 10th prestige for 1600 points? After you...I mean your friend sent him the code he didn't follow though? That's not being "hacked", it's being stupid. Why do I believe this is what happened? You have M.W.2 as your top game, you're "hacker" plays M.W.2, AND it ...

Mine was stolen on Monday the 20th and the person bought 10,000 microsoft points with the debit card associated with my account and then downloaded a bunch of stuff to his console.
Microsoft is "investigating" but in the mean time, I had to close my bank account and it is just one big headache.
Good luck to others that this has ...

I tried my best to use paragraphs, but they never showed up when I hit preview.
Well, as I stated before I came into contact with the person who socially engineered my account. I've explained this to Microsoft fully, and I won't go into too much detail because it's rather complicated. Long story short he made no attempt to hide his identity, he ...

Not true. For one, I was never contacted in any manner in which I could have been phished, and I haven't discussed my hotmail account with anyone online or otherwise in nearly a decade. Furthermore, the thief explained to me that I did not compromise my own account, and he got it straight from Microsoft, starting with Xbox Live support. I've ...

You can not call out gamertags on the forums. That said, I'll respond to your concerns. Nobody can "hack" an Xbox Live account. Being sent a message stating that you have been "hacked" does not mean you have been "hacked". The only way somebody can gain access to you account is if you give it ...

Ok here is what we know; in order to recover an account you must know the email of the account and the password.
