The Xbox Community Ambassadors program is full of passionate Xbox gamers who know their stuff. Every other month, we are going to profile one of our Ambassadors so y’all can get to know more about them!

To kick things off, we are going to share some information with you on our #1 ranked Ambassador on the Chat Leaderboards, Hassassinade.

If you have any ideas for future blog topics, or there are specific questions you’d like us to explore in future Ambassador profiles, please post in the comments below. We’d love to hear your thoughts!

Q: What do you love most about being an Xbox Community Ambassador?

A: What I love most about being an Xbox Community Ambassador is that I can help others that may be having trouble with their Xbox 360 console. We all know that technology is ever changing and sometimes, things can get a bit complicated.

Q: Aside from playing video games, what are some other hobbies that you’re into?

A: I’ve recently taken on cooking as a hobby, although I’m not any good at it just yet. I also really enjoy rollerblading, along with watching tennis, football, and basketball.

Q: Do you have a preferred game genre?

A: Yes, I really enjoy FPS and MMO titles. I’m currently enjoying Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic :)

Q: Halo or Call of Duty?

A: I don’t really have a favorite between the two. My current favorite shooter would be Gears of War 3, as I have tons of friends that play.

Q: If you could have lunch with one video game character, who would it be?

A: Ha, that's a silly question! I would probably pick Dominic Santiago from Gears of War, that guy is a total badass.

Q: Water balloon or Super Soaker?

A: Water balloons were the best option when I was younger, but now it’s definitely super soakers. So many varieties of water guns to choose from!

Q: What movies could you watch over and over and still love?

A:  Oh, there are so many movies I can watch over and over again; I guess I'd have to pick the Back to the Future trilogy or the Star Wars saga.

Q: What is your favorite type of food? Do you have a favorite restaurant?

A: While I'm always interested in trying new things my favorite is Italian, pizza specifically. Some of the best tasting pizza I've had in New York would be at Mariella's Pizza (16th & 3rd Ave for all you New Yorkers) :)

Q: What are some of the gadgets in existence today that you can’t live without?

A: I honestly can’t live without my Xbox 360, cellphone, iPad, or netbook. Some are for work and some are for fun, I couldn’t imagine not having them all.

Q: Do you have any advice for other Ambassadors on what it takes to become successful on chat?

A: I just want all the other Ambassadors to know that they are doing a great job. Taking their free time and using it to help other gamers is amazing. This is what makes the Xbox community truly awesome and I only see it getting better. The only other advice I can give to other Ambassadors is to be polite as possible and be prepared for the wide variety of questions you may come across.

Thanks for this opportunity, it was a lot of fun and I can't wait to see more from the XCA team!    - Hassan aka Hassassinade

  • We appreciate you all taking the time to read our blog and leave a comment. If you do have a question or comment that is support related please be sure to contact us via the forums here on Xbox.com or through twitter at Twitter.com/XboxSupport.

    Thank you.

  • Thanks! It was an honor being asked these questions and I look forward to seeing some awesome things coming from you guys in the future.

  •
What I love most about being an Xbox Community Ambassador is that I can help others that may be having trouble with their Xbox 360 console.
You don't need to be an Ambassador in order to help people. Amazing how many wanted to help as soon as there was something in it for them.

  • Congrats on the Spotlight, Hassan. Keep up the great work.

  • Congrats Hassasn!

  • Hiya VoteDC - it was never about prizes or a leaderboard, I've stated that multiple times, and I don't know if that was pointed towards me or not but either way the chat program is sort of an instant response whereas the forums people tend to reply back at their own pace. Thanks for the comment anyway. <3

  • Sorry for the bitter comment. It's just fed by the amount of people now posting on the forum as Ambassadors who don't even know the answer to such simple questions as how to remove a credit card from an account. Again sorry for stiking such a bitter tone in your interview comments.

  • @VoteDC we know what you are talking about. Hopefully they will improve the qualifications to be an Ambassador.

    Nice job Hassassinade =)

There is nothing in it for us being an ambassador so I have to disagree with your comment, most of us do it because we love gaming and we love helping others, simple as that really.

  • Its okay VoteDC :), I've always appreciated your input, I was sad when you decided to bow out of the program but you had good reasons. I still <3 ya!

  • @BADMAN KILLLZ: There is the forum badge which many seem to think makes them more important and the Ambassador program also gives Avatar items as rewards, so there are things people get for being a member. As I said you do not need a badge to help people and nor should you expect rewards, something I wish more Ambassadors realised, as you do.

@Hassassinade: Thanks for your patience. Despite my personal issues with the Ambassador program I really do think it has the potential to be great. However for every good member like yourself there seems to be three who have little knowledge or are in it for the perceived 'kudos' of the forum badge.

It is as An Xbox Dude mentioned, I really think they need to have some sort of knowledge test for people wanting to be an Ambassador. Yes it is a purely voluntary position but it does carry a degree of responsibility that if you can't or, as in my case, are unwilling to carry out then you should not be a member.
