Happy Holidays!

We're knee deep in the holiday season! Between Black Ops 2, Halo 4, Assassin's Creed III, and Borderlands 2, this has been a big time for game releases. Hopefully you've had enough time to enjoy everything the Xbox experience has to offer this season.

With the release of Xbox Music, SmartGlass, and so many new games and apps, we've been super busy providing support for all of this new hotness. One thing XCS is quite sure of: we wouldn't be able to do this without help from the incredible Xbox Community Ambassadors. Be it on the Official Support Forums, the Ambassabank, or Ambassador Chat, Ambassadors are working hard to give back to the community with top notch support. When Ambassadors give back, we give back to them, in the form of Levels & Loot!

A few extremely committed, hard-working ambassadors reach the very coveted Level 9. To reach Level 9, the Ambassador must be active in the program for 210 days or more, and they must have earned at least 10,500 XP. Level 9 is no joke, and we want to give accolades where they're due. We've interviewed 3 ambassadors that have made it to Level 9 recently, and want to tell you a bit more about them.

So please, read on and find out a bit more about some of the shining stars of the Xbox Community Support community!

Q: What are some of your all-time favorite Xbox LIVE Arcade games, if any?

I love Minecraft most of all.  It's just one of those games that you get to do what you want, build what you want, and then show it off to your friends or post it on the Internet!  I really enjoy that game and love to play it.  I don't like a whole lot of arcade games, I guess because I never really have gotten to into them.

Q: What drew you to want to be a part of the Xbox Community Ambassador Program?

I think what drew me to be an XBLA (Xbox LIVE Ambassador) is the fact of being able to help people, and I am aware that you can still do that if you're not an Ambassador, but I think as being an Ambassador, you have a lot of helpful tips from the fine folks right over at Xbox Forums Support to help walk you through issues if you would like to help someone, but don't know exactly what to do.  With out the Xbox Forums Support Agents, we would be no where and most likely the XBLA program wouldn't even exist.  So I would just like to give a shout out to all of the awesome Xbox Forum Support Agents and say Thank You in this blog feature because without you, I wouldn't be here right now being able to post on this blog.

Anyways I was going a bit off topic there, but the main reason is just to help people around the world and make sure EVERYONE is enjoying the Xbox Service as much as I am.  It's not ever fun when you can't connect, or you're suspended for some payment issues.  So I always love to help people.  It's always been my thing ya'know? ;)  I never did it for the loot or anything, but I do highly appreciate being compensated for all the stuff I do and something to actually look forward to other then that "Wow" feeling.

Q: Do you answer more questions via chat, the forums or the Ambassabank? Any reason you prefer a particular platform? Well, if you look at my profile, it says I've answered more questions on the chat, but to be honest, I am on the forums a whole lot more then chat.  You can answer so many questions on that forum, and you may have noticed me buzzing around in the "Managing my Xbox LIVE account" forum.  That category is probably my area of interest.  I would have to say I like the forums more because you can carry on a conversation there and get help from the community other than just yourself.

Q: If you could travel back in time to any specific historical event, which would you choose and why?

I would like to travel back to when Xbox LIVE first launched.  Now at this point you're probably wondering "Why that time?  Why not something better?" Well, since the 10th year Anniversary just hit here in the past week, and all this gossip of how Xbox LIVE started out as this, then went to this, I would just like to see it with my own eyes.  I was still playing my PS2 at the time Xbox LIVE launched, and I would just like to see it myself. Did you know when Xbox LIVE first launched, Facebook was barely around at the time and no one hardly knew what it was?  FACT:  Did you know the first Gamertag ever created was "e"?  Yep, that's right "e" is the Gamertag and he still gets on to this day.

Q: If you could create any app imaginable for your Xbox 360, what would you create one for?

Well, with all these new apps that have been released I really don't know.  IE would be what I would say if this was a few months ago.

Q: What are some of your all-time favorite Xbox LIVE Arcade games, if any?

Minecraft, Trials HD & Trials Evolution, such fun games!

Q: What drew you to want to be a part of the Xbox Community Ambassador Program?

I naturally just like to help people out, and when I heard about the Ambassadors program accepting applications to join, I instantly signed up!

Q: Do you answer more questions via chat, the forums or the Ambassabank? Any reason you prefer a particular platform?

I prefer using the Ambassabank, the questions are a lot more instant and I don't have to wait as long as I do for that chat bot.

Q: If you could travel back in time to any specific historical event, which would you choose and why?

I'd go back to the times of when the Internet was created and pat everyone involved on the back and say 'Thank You!'.

Q: If you could create any app imaginable for your Xbox 360, what would you create one for

An app that would give me chocolate out of my disc drive!

Q: What are some of your all-time favorite Xbox LIVE Arcade games, if any?

A: I simply can’t resist Peggle and Trials HD

Q: What drew you to want to be a part of the Xbox Community Ambassador Program?

A: I had some questions, when I first got my Xbox. I was presented to this program and wanted to be a part of it, so I joined in order to help others in need.

Q: Do you answer more questions via chat, the forums or the Ambassabank? Any reason you prefer a particular platform?

A: I answer more questions via Chat. This is the way I prefer as I can keep working and answering at the same time.

Q: If you could travel back in time to any specific historical event, which would you choose and why?

A: I would like to travel back to the day when Halo was released. I have played all the Halo games except for the first.

Q: If you could create any app imaginable for your Xbox 360, what would you create one for

A: I would create an App that would allow me to use Remote Desktop into the console and play over the Web :)

That about does it for this round, folks! If you see these Ambassadors in the forums or on Xbox LIVE, be sure to congratulate them on their awesome feat of support strength. If you think you have what it takes to reach level 9 (and beyond) then don’t wait to sign up to be an Xbox Community Ambassador. Check out the Official Ambassador Page for more!

  • hi

  • Good job on hitting level 9. Well done lads!

  • its a good year for video games with all the good games

  • Ambassador system is and has always been a joke. When XBL stops letting first year gamers into this program maybe, just maybe XBL will give some creditability to the program. Like I have said before Ambassador should have 5 years under their XBL belt before being accepted into this program otherwise, too many first year gamers on XBL ruins the program because of imaginary power trip.
