That would mean breaking the LAW which can end up some serious trouble for Microsoft. EA isn't the only company doing the online passes. THQ, Codemasters are the other companys that do it. It's the same system really with PC games that you can't buy them pre-owned. You got to have a activation code to play the game. But of course the console version is restricted online it's basicly near the same thing. PC: Can't access game without a code. Consoles: Got to buy an online pass for online access or buy the game new.
There's nothing wrong with it, some of may not agree but it certainly doesn't bother me. If you can't support devs who make great games and just buy pre-owned. Devs could lose alot of money to make a sequel sometime and make a much better one. Lacking income on a under rated game mean there simply won't be more of those sequels. Just like Blackrock Studios for example. Died out due to lack of income and their Split/Second crushed Blur for it's system.
You buy a decent devs game brand new then you're simply supporting them to continue the game. Online passes are just a way to increase chances on people buying their games brand new so they invest in it. I'm sorry but this is just ridicolous posting all over forums whining, whining, whining about a online pass that's on an exact system of PC access.
