Kingdom Hearts Coming to the 360?

In the May issue of Gameinformer (Page 80), there is an interview with Tetsuya Nomura on Kingdom Hearts.  It asks:

"Would you ever want to see a high-definition collection of Kingdom Hearts and Kingdom Hearts II similar to the upcoming Final Fantasy X HD remaster"

Nomura replied saying:

"I do have an interest in HD versions, and I'm currently researching them.  If it is possible, I would like to do something about the series being spread over many different consoles, too.  I am thinking a lot about the future."

I would love to see an HD Collection of Kingdom Hearts coming to the Xbox 360.  What are your thoughts?

It makes sense and I'd be shocked if it didn't happen. It definitely needs to happen. Kingdom Hearts 3 needs to happen too.

If they do. they better put them on there owned disk. And have two games ther owned achievement list. And if that can't be done. Make it so it has 99 achievements in it.

I've been wanting this for a long time. I would love for them to remaster KH1 and KH2, and then announce KH3. But, I've put KH3 in the same boat as Half Life 3 (or Episode 3) in terms of anything concrete being announced. They're obviously going to happen eventually, but it's going to be awhile.

I would get it for sure. The Kingdom Hearts series is great, KH II was one of the best Ps2 games I've played.  It would be great if Square Enix released the HD collection with Birth By Sleep, Kingdom Hearts I and Kingdom Heart II to finally lead up to the continuation of the series with Kingdom Hearts III.

Would it be cool if this happened? Yes. Would i slam my head against the desk if Kingdom Hearts made it the 360 but not Versus? Let's just say I'd be in a coma.

games  for gamers is a good thing.

I in my own opinion love kingdom hearts, I played kingdom hearts 1 and 2 on the ps2 a long time ago and then played a smaller version of it on the Nintendo DS, So it'd be awesome to see the kingdom hearts franchise come into my current gaming system (Xbox 360) Hopefully they do this and since it'll be on a high quality platform (Xbox 360) I hope they improve the gaming style and graphics of the game from it's previous releases... :D

I replayed the KH series a few months ago, but I'd love to play them all again in HD, and with achievements.

This would be awesome, but like Pyramid said.. I want to see Versus come to the 360 first. It looks like a masterpiece.

I think he now bring it out more then one console with this then FFV13. Is becoues it didn't sale well outside of japan.

i think it would be criminal if we never  saw Versus multi but Kingdom Hearts instead. No offense to all the fans, but as much as I love Kingdom Hearts, I find it just as overrated  as Final Fantasy VII. All the spin-offs they have done doesn't help either.

Pyramid head remember MGS4. It was a PS3 only game. Becoues the game derictor wanted only for the PS3. And that game did ok. It didn't sale as much as last part MGS games did. Becoues PS3 wasn't widely used in other martets outside of japan. Only good places it did very well and hit it mark was in japan. And now he learned from that mistakes and making the next METAL GEAR game for XBOX 360 aswell the PS3. it the same story as with FFV13.  the game derictor doesn't want brake promus to SONY. And sametime. Do not want to fail in the same mistakes he with with FFV13. So there you haved it.

at this point,versus is gunna come to the 360.all the production money shoved into would send square enix into another financial hole if they release  a high budget exclusive that simply won't make as much money as a multiplatform title.

Okay, first off, I tried correcting and making your post as comprehensible as I could. Your grammar and punctuation is terrible. Second off, who are you talking about exactly? Testuya Nomura? Third off, MGS4 seemed to do just fine last time I checked: Five million units seems to be what I am coming up with. MGS3 seemed to have sold about 3 million or so units. While I do believe that it is likely that Versus would go multiplatform, this is only speculation and no actual confirmation on such matters exist.

So you haved any proff that FFV13 is coming to the 360. It slided for being a PS3 only title.

They are making a HD Remake... It will be featured at E3 the only problem is that it's so far only confirmed for PS3, PS Vista, and Wii U....For me I hope they also make it for the XBOX

   I also want to see the KH series come to Xbox,  it would be fun to play in remastered HD.   A remake of FF7 would be cool as well, but the more time passes the less likely it seems......all we can do is hope : ) .

Does anyone know how many discs Versus 13 would be on 360. It just seems like it would be a hassle. Also if they do that then why even make a PS4 if all they are gonna do is give up all their flagship titles to the competition?

Well, a DVD can hold about 47GB & a Blu-ray, 25GB (each per layer). So if you know the size of the game, you can figure it from there. If the PS3 version fits on one BD (which it easily will), it could take up to (a little over actually) 5 DVDs on the 360.

 

As for FF being a flagship PS title, I wouldn't say that. The franchise came to the U.S. originally as a Nintendo exclusive, with the main series later moving to the original Playstation (though Nintendo still got FF based titles). Arguably, the franchise's best installments (VII-IX) were Playstation exclusives, but considering the current state of the FF franchise, I wouldn't consider it a "flagship" anything... Except maybe the flagship of franchises that have gone quickest down the toilet. Anyway, Final Fantasy has always been a puddle jumper, so it doesn't really belong on any one series of consoles. However, this generation's FF games (XIII & XIII-2) are amongst those that are clearly superior on Sony's hardware. That said, I prefer to see as many exclusive titles (for all consoles) as possible.

KH... great use of a license, but I didn't see what everyone was wetting themselves about back when it was first released. Played it... was okay. Not a bad action/adventure title at all. Personally, there are a few other PlayStation collections I'd like to see come over to the 360.

@OG Pooh You have to be tripping if you think Versus wouldn't be a flagship title for the PS3. I and a few of my other friends that actually play more then FPS titles and Sports games brought a PS3 solely for FF Versus, Metal Gear and me specifically Devil May Cry. Metal Gear is becoming multiplatform and DMC did it years ago. If they lose Versus as an exclusive then I'm officially done with Sony. I don't care what they put out. Everything they have is just ok now. Nothing is breathtaking but the graphics. They almost lost all their appeal too me already.

I read somewhere, that sadly, Versus will not be at E3 this year.  Maybe we'll hear something about it later in the year.  Hopefully.  I'm hoping when Kingdom Hearts: Dream Drop Distance is shown, maybe they'll also announce a Kingdom Hearts HD collection.

If we see anything on Versus, the best bet will be the Tokyo Game Show.

anyone else find it strange that Versus was announced with XIII... and footage was shown... and its still not released even after a XIII-2?

I know when and if Versus ever drops it better be 500 hrs worth of gameplay.

Yes it has to happen ive been a fan of kingdom hearts since the first game was released and would love them to make a remake of kingdom heart 1 & 2 on the xbox and then announce kingdom hearts 3 to come onto the xbox as well

It be a while to see another Kingdom Hearts title. Square Enix have alot games to show and keep support on their MMOs. (Games: FFXIII-3, Versus 3 and FFX-HD)

I am sure they might put KH3 on Xbox 360 because they already have 12 games that came from Square Enix. And it would very exciting to play KH3 in HD!! That would look so good!! it Would Be A Real DISAPPOINTMENT if they didn't put it on Xbox 360. :'(  And Xbox has some very good HD games!!!

Honestly and personally, I don't care if this game does get released for Xbox 360. I didn't even bother to buy and play it on PS2, or PSP.

I would be stunned speechless if they managed to cross this over.  I'm sure the likelihood of this happening has everythinge to do with the legal terming behind the contract that governs the obligations between the devs, the publisher and Sony in regards to who has control of the IP and the commitments behind it.

Being as I don't know much about such things, nor do I suspect anyone in this thread does, I doubt any of us knows.  That said, I would love to see it happen.
