How do you delete game history on the xbox one?

    • Level   1

On the 360 you could press Y on the game and delete it from your achievement list if you didnt get any achievements on that game. I cant find that feature on the xbox one. Does anyone know where it is if its even there at all?

I called in and they said pressing the menu/start key when in the achievement screen should work. That being said I can't see the option to delete anything, so either the support was wrong or I'm doing it wrong. Curious if anyone else knows - I want to get rid of my 0/1000 KI eyesore

Hi. I see your in a similar situation. Well I have just spoken to an agent who has said there is no way of deleting it on xbox one as of yet but now that we have brought it to their attention has reported it and said they should be working on a fix for this ASAP. I hope this has helped as I see you have rang in regarding this situation.

it is all cloud saved... why would you want to delete it?

    ^^^

Because some gamers like me like to have control on their consoles. I rather save to my HDD and manage it. Unlimited save with the cloud is awesome but i wonder what will happens if they shutdown the service in a future. Could you still save your games in the cloud cache that have the Xbox One to keep playing it offline ? I cannot wait to have external storage if they make it possible.

Here is some info about how Xbox One works manage auto HDD for the gamers that didn't know :

You may have heard that there’s no way to actively manage your hard drive space on the Xbox One. This is by design, as a combination of cloud storage and the Xbox One hardware handles that for users.

“Xbox One was designed to make storage management automatic,” a Microsoft representative told us via email. “For saved games, settings, and other information that Xbox One customers save to the cloud, space is virtually unlimited. On the internal hard drive in each Xbox One, games and apps can be uninstalled or reinstalled instantly with the click of the Xbox One menu button.

“Saved games and settings information is retrieved from the cloud for any game as its being reinstalled.  By being smart about how storage is managed, Xbox One keeps everyone playing, watching, and sharing their entertainment content rather than worry about limitations. You can also see how much storage any app uses by pressing the menu button on that app.”

In other words, storage management happens game by game and app by app. You can’t see a list of installed content in one place like you can on Xbox 360.

We followed up to ask what happens if the cloud is inaccessible (due to servicing or other outage).

“In Xbox One your game progress, purchase history, pins, and activity history available to you wherever you are when you want to play because they are stored in the cloud,” the spokesperson told us. “Everything stored locally on the console is just a cache that enables you to play offline, track achievement progress offline, and more. When you reconnect we will sync your progress in the game and sync your achievements. If you remain connected to the cloud, your game progress will always be available in the cloud so you can pick up where you left off in the game from any Xbox One you play the game on; if not, it is stored locally on the console.”

Also if it was accidental like the kinect picking you up when you don't want it to it will leave game history and achievement history on your profile and who wants a game they have no achievements on and have no intention playing on staying on their profile?

Yeah, that's exactly my issue as well.

Attack on Titan has been added to Netflix. Watch it. I'm serious. Do it now.

I hardly ever check my private messages. If you want to ask/tell me something, feel free to message me directly on Xbox Live or Twitter

I'm still rather baffled as to why everybody always wants to delete their gamerscore.  As for unlimited cloud storage, clearly the only thing not being stored up are the mandatory game installs, not sure about anything else.
