  • How am i supposed to report a booster on MW3? He convinced me to boost, so i did, because he is my friend from school, and i got banned. nothing happened to him, and he boosts more than me. he is 10th prestige, and i was only 6th.  How is it that on my first day of boosting, i get banned and someone who boosts everyday doesnt? His gamertag is (edited by a moderator). Ever since he found out i got banned, which was yesterday, he stopped boosting. but he has a K/D or 1.6 from boosting when mine was .99.  Please tell me how to make sure he gets reset.  It's not fair for me to get banned and him not.  he also has a modded controller. ive actually seen it before when he was at my house. please reset him to get the message across to him that boosting is bad

  • all boosters and cheaters need to be reported to bancandy on the offically MW forums.  You need to send her a private message with video proof.

  • You could also be banned here on forums for calling out gamertags of offenders or others that are or could not be. Just report them in game, be patient videos can be reviewed by IW staff it may take time.

  • What makes you think breaking the "name and shame" rule will get any progress in punishing the player in question?

I exist for one reason; to annoy you.

  • 1) That's what you get for boosting. Even if it was your first time, I am happy you got banned.

    -

    2) What do you get if he gets banned? Do you get to laugh for a couple minutes or something? Go outside and be productive rather than complaining on here.

    -

    3) You can get banned for putting his gamertag out here. So now you hava violated the CoC/ToU on both Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 and Xbox.com.

  • He got you to boost, and you were presumably eager to get something out of it.

    .

    You did it.

    .

    You got caught.

    .

Now you want what, some revenge on your friend from school? Ouch. The friends people make nowadays

If I could have my wasted days back, would I use them to get back on track...?

    .

    Keep searching... keep on searching.

You say this "booster" is a friend from High school?

Back in my day we used to beat the crap out of so called friends... instead of typing nonsense on social media forums

  • Just file a complaint with your local attorney general or the better business bureau that you purchased a game and the company is preventing you from playing it and enjoying it how you see fit. End the complaint that at the time of purchase you where you not warned that the company could take your cash and not allow you to play the game.

Actually, when he signed up for Xbox Live he agreed to the ToC and CoC, with if he read (which I doubt he did), he would have known that boosting, cheating or tampering with any video game released on the console can result in a permanent or temporary ban either by Microsoft or the gaming publisher. So no, that would not work at all.

I understand that but when did he make an agreement with the developers of the game? I was sold a game and it was never brought to my attention until after the fact that the developer can prevent me from playing the game I purchased.

The game you purchased says on it CLEARLY; XBOX 360 & XBOX LIVE & MICROSOFT. They just so happen to own the console you are playing on as well. THis gives the developers full rights, since Microsoft, Xbox and Xbox Live allow them to do this. If you pay attention to the ToU and CoC, you would know it.

The fact remains is that I never accepted additional terms of use from Activision/Sledgehammer/Infinity Ward. Xbox live has nothing to do with the MW3 rank resets and bans and if you ask, the Xbox enforcement team will direct you to the developers website. The TOU and COC do not mention boosting but yet you claim the OP would know that if he read them. As far as cheats go it says "Don't cheat in a game unless cheats have been deliberately enabled." So if you say boosting is cheating and he deliberately enabled cheats by boosting then as far as I am concerned he did nothing wrong. If Activision/Sledgehammer/Infinity Ward want to impose additional terms of use then they need to present them and have me agree which is something they have never done.

  •  if you buy  a game you have to play by the developers rules.

technically you are only licensing the game and they can revoke your licence if they wish ie stop you playing if you glitch/hack/boost

Microsoft is tyhe developer. They don't need to tell you. Your not exactly "buying" the game. Your purchasing a license for it, which they own.
