Re: banned from servers for using pirated copy?

i just received an in game message from turn 10 saying that i've been flagged and banned from their servers because my copy of forza 4 is a 'pirated disc'. i'd like to point out that i don't own a pirated copy of forza 4 and have been playing my copy that i bought from EB games since tuesday afternoon. i just want to know who do i contact to get unbanned from their servers? i can provide proof of purchase with pictures or scans of my copy of the game and receipt.

You should post this at Forza.net (if it's working)

just seen some of the threads on there and some people have the same problem as me. one of the mods posted an email address for forza so i'll try and contact them there. thanks.

I got the same message tonight!! I sent a email to forzafb@microsoft.com and I will try calling them tomorrow for a faster response. Here is what I said in the email.

I was checking my messages and I noticed this was sent to me. "You have been flagged for playing on a console that has loaded a pirated disc, which is a violation of Xbox LIVE Terms of service. As a result, your console has been flagged and your account has been banned". Someone needs to fix this problem because I paid $71.99 for this collectors edition. I purchased the game brand new in the clear packaging material from best buy on 10/11/2011 since I had it on pre-order for about a month. Please somebody help fix this problem my gamertag is CWILLZ757.

same thing just happened to me,

I bought mine at JB Hifi, Elizabeth St Melbourne last night, Collectors edition

It crashed twice last night saying corrupted disc, even though it installed to hard disk OK

Tonight  I got a message that I'm banned

Just got the same message - bought mine today from ASDA in the UK. Had similar 'disk unreadable' issues, installed to HD, played through two years of career mode and now get the 'banned Pirate' message.

I think they really messed up their copy protection *sighs* so now I have a game I cannot play with my friends, no leaderboards, no rivals, waste of time.

OK, the problem is that there is a section of the disc that is being read to make sure it's not pirated.  If you have a scratch, or spec of dirt on the disc, or just a somewhat lazy laser it can MISread that section and flag the game as not being compliant.

The automated console bans are actually set up to go out only if you get multiple of these "flags" since they do randomly occur occationally.

It may be you got tagged once on your brand new copy and now they are deciding to ban you, regardless of the automated system M$ have in place.

posting here will def bring awareness to the situation for other gamers.  But to get this resolved you need to go thru Forza.net

For Turn10?  I don't know of one.  You can add your post the rapidly growing list though.

is everyone that is getting these problems using an older type xbox,as opposed to the slim version?

could have been a hardware issue if they were all the phat models,guess not.

you ever heard of renting games? the only games i own out of that little list are NBA and forza 4 which i got a $45 credit towards with my trade in of gears 3. plus i don't know how the new NHL counts as a new game it came out over a month ago. as for batman i rented it 2 days ago from my local rogers video.

as for 'disc is stealth' i'm not 100% what you mean or are talking about. if microsoft or turn 10 have an concerns of how legitimate my copy of forza 4 is i can give them pictures of my copy + sales receipt. 

it's pretty obvious that this isn't a small issue if the turn 10 forums or blowing up with replies and threads about the same thing happening to other people. i only got this errors after the recent forza update so it's all on turn 10 here.

i have yet to receive a response back from turn 10. if my xbox live account or xbox 360 end up getting banned microsoft can expect more than an small email from me.

How should i know? I've had this account since i was 15, i must have cheated it AGES ago when it was first possible, a choice i so obviously regret.

there is a lot of things people shouldn't do but they happen anyway. go look at on cragslist or ebay and i bet you could find multiple copies of the new batman game and i wouldn't be surprised if you found BF3 to be honest.

batman is not on ebay,i know i would have bought it.

its the people renting it to you that can get in a whole lot of trouble for doing so.

^^^ that doesn't make any sense. i didn't get my account banned or xbox banned i got banned from TURN 10s servers.

I just spoke with Xbox support because I have been reading so many people saying they call and get told to talk to Turn10 then Turn10 says contact XBL Support. @XboxSupport said "Yes we contact all first party games. Let us know if you have an issue with one. ^AC"

 I have sent  2 email so far regrading my account and every time i got online i am advise to go to forzamotorsport.net for more information. I have post up 2 treads in regard of this because i notice it happen after the update. I install the both disc on the hard drive so i dont have to worry getting damage. Now i cannot race on rival nor do club battle and to top it off i do not have access to my hard drive when i am not playing. This is Very frustrating because i am legit with receipts to prove it is. I never had moded xbox nor want to mod because i pay for family gold so my kids can play too.

I HAVE THE PRE-ORDER RECEIPT, SECOND RECEIPT AND MY CREDIT CARD STATEMENT advising this is a official disc. Unless turn 10 send Game stop a  PIRATED DISC. I never got banned for any game and the last 6 years. Can you please take a looking this because me nor my family cannot play anymore forza. I have posted on the web site. Yeah, M$ will not do anything.  In fact it says in the help forum that they are not responsible for in game bans.
