Here's the issue, guys. The LE of the game advertised that access to the specializations would be on launch day. Not days/weeks later, not once you hit a certain level, but on launch day. That seems to be where all the confusion/anger is coming from (which is rightly justified). Advertisements and pre-launch information said one thing, while the actual code card says something completely contradictory. I believe that is the very definition of false advertisement.
Quote from IGN:
"Also, and this is an important part: two of the Specializations – Pioneer and Wetwork – will be available at launch. The rest will come online later…unless you purchase the Halo 4 Limited Edition, in which case you’ll have access to all eight at launch."
Quote from G4:
"Specializations – Receive early access to six Specializations, available at launch on Xbox LIVE, to achieve higher ranks in your Spartan career. Purchasers of the “Halo 4” Limited Edition will get access on launch day, while others will have to wait as Specializations are released over time."

Normally I would say "there's no way Bungie would have been so vague and sneaky, it's obviously an error that they'll fix". However, this isn't Bungie anymore, and I wouldn't put it past them at this point.
