Re: Memory Issues

So I have the 4GB Slim Model and I deleted everything I could to make room for Halo 4. This leaves me with roughly 3.1GB on my harddrive...yet this is not enough for me to install the second disc so I can play Multiplayer which is the main reason why I even bought this game. Can someone help me out and tell me how many Gigs I actually need to download it? It looks like I'll be needing to buy a 8 or 16G USB harddrive very....very soon. Any replys would be appreciated!

It is an 8 gb install, I am not sure if you can install it to a thumb drive.

The 4gb slim is not a hard drive. You need either a USB or HDD to download the War games content if you have a 4gb slim. The War Games download is only 1.9GB and you don't need to download the first disc at all.

You can install it to a flash drive.  Just make sure to buy a 16gb at least.  An 8GB drive won't cut it after formatting.   Read up here:

you cant play with a 4gb system. u can only play the campaign. LMFAO i duno why they make systems with 4GB of space! LOLOLOL WTF is THAT?!?!?! My phone has more memory than that.

Memory refers to static storage space, like RAM

Storage refers to electronic filing space, like a hard drive.

Your 4gb refers to "storage", not "memory.

Just to be clear. My brother has a 4gb Slim and an 8GB USB. He can play Multiplayer just fine.
