Re: No option to buy land...

Hello again, so yeah, I've become a Thane in Falkreath and Hjaalmarch and I still have no option to by land in Falkreath and Hjaalmarch (Morthal hold). Now, when I first started this DLC, the moment I loaded a save I was immediately greeted by a Courier giving me a messages which was buying land in the Pale. I do have idea's on a solution which is delete the DLC, load a save before I started the DLC, become a thane, redownload it, and do it all again. That's what I don't want to do... is do it all again. :|

Any solutions?

Go back to the town you want to buy land.  Go to where ( the building) you became thane in.  Talk to the stewart ( spelling) and you should see it.  If all else fails talk to EVERYONE in the building.  Let us know.

All three of the new pieces of property can be purchased for 5000 gold.

• Heljarchen Hall — Located in The Pale, this plot of land may be purchased from the Jarl of Dawnstar in The White Hall. You will have to complete the quest Waking Nightmare, and then the favor quest Kill the Giant before being allowed to purchase the property. (Note: This favor has a prerequisite of being level 22.) If you are thane of the hold, you will be appointed a housecarl named Gregor.
• Lakeview Manor — Located in Falkreath Hold, this plot of land may be purchased from the steward of Falkreath in the Jarl's Longhouse. You will have to complete the quest Kill the Bandit Leader before being allowed to purchase the property. (Note: If Siddgeir is jarl, this requires completing his version of Rare Gifts first, which cannot be started while another version of the quest is active.) If you are thane of the hold, you will be appointed a housecarl named Rayya.
• Windstad Manor — Located in Hjaalmarch, this plot of land may be purchased at Highmoon Hall in Morthal, either from the steward Aslfur if Idgrod Ravencrone is still the jarl, or from the new jarl, Sorli the Builder, if the Stormcloaks have control of the hold. You will have to complete the quest Laid to Rest before being allowed to purchase the property. If you are thane of the hold, you will be appointed a housecarl named Valdimar.

As I recall one was via a courier the other two were via the (don't know what you call him) guy you buy houses, upgrades for your houses from.

You have looked at the cut and paste above right?  My next step would be to re-download DLC.  Do you get the loading screen before game starts " loading DLC"?  Thats not word for word, but you hit start says something like checking for DLC etc

Already said I've tried everything, yeah it gives me the loading DLC thing too. I'll redownload Hearthfire later.

I don't get the loading DLC thing, should I download the add on again?

Yea, you can download it but it does not load it.  You need to back out to the dashboard.  Then start game again.  Gald you got it going Master.  Game on!

I have the same issue. I still cant get the house in Falkreath. I completed "Kill the bandit leader".  But cant find the "Rare Gifts" mission.

You have to complete other rare missions first, such as, "Find a Mammoth Tusk for Ysolda". You can only have one "rare item quest" active at any such time. (according to the Skyrim Wikia ofc)

I do have a question for the both of you.  When I did Hearthfire, I started a new game and had not started ANY of the stormcloaks take over missions ( I am doing stormcloaks again).

Ok thanks. I will just have to work on all of those "rare" missions whenever I get the chance.

@Pedler, it might, I HAVE done all the Imperial quests.

If you have done them all then.........I was thinking if a person was in the middle of the quests then that might have something to do with.  Guess not.

I STILL cant get the Falkreath house yet.  How do I know which side mission I am supposed to complete for this to start working?  I have the snotty stuck up young Jarl.  Is that even the right Jarl?

The young Jarl is okay. Did you get him the good ale that he hints at? Then after that he'll have a side "Job" for someone like you. Clear out everyone at the designated place. Then after that, talk to his steward. He mentions no local house's but they do have some affordable property. I paid him right then.

That's what I did for it, and then the "Housecarl" just showed up at the door.

Yeah, I am having problems unlocking the Windstad Manor. I know that I have done

Laid to rest quest. Sorli the builder is the current Jarl but for some reason the becoming thane seems to be

Bugged.
