This reminds me of the fiasco between some Infinityward devs and the corporate [Mod Removed] at Activision. Although not the same scenario, the end result is very much the same, a disappointed and angry community, like that of MW2.

For me, I gave up on the DLC and the game a long time ago.  The game's had trouble since release and with the "promise" of free DLC almost 2 months ago, the game's pretty much a bust.  I sold it 3+ weeks ago...like several of my friends...after not playing it for many weeks before then.  Pretty sad because the game had a lot of potential.

Gameinformer is late, Eden posted the same statement on the official TDU2 forum over a month ago. There hasn't even been a whimper from them since, so I guess their strike didn't have the effect they wanted.

They were probably all sacked, or the 30% (approx) survivors of the redundancies have been gagged and fondled into silence by Atari.

Whatever, whether the Exploration Pack and bikes comes out or not is not important any more as far as my relationship with Atari goes. I already made the decision to never purchase anything from them ever again.

i give that game 2 grunts out of ten.....since they didnt even talk lol.

anyways,i highly doubt that well get the dlc we were promised in febuary.for a few reasons,they pretty much fired everybody that said it was otw,atari are cheap,atari publishes bad games and doesnt support the fans of said games.

so cest la vie,i could complain and maon a bit.but everybody here has had thier fill of that im sure.

so ta ta its been fun,it coulda been a contender.a shame it only ended up no mass.

Between the lay offs, the strike and now PS3 being down,  I dont expect the DLC for a long time. Well its already been a long time but its going to be much longer. I dont think they are going to release the dlc until the PS3 is back online and stable.   I am almost positive there is some sort of contract agreement between the PS3 and 360 indicating DLC cant be released unless its for both consoles.  And since the PS3 is having so many issues, we dont get the DLC on the 360.  

If it wasnt for the Casino, I would have traded this game in MONTHS ago. But there are times I have a lot of fun in the casino tournaments.  And then again there are times it can be a real pain in the butt. On those days I just eject the game and play something else.  

what i find annoying is the fact that they kept saying how they had given the data pack to m$ and were waiting on certification.yet months later it still isnt up,how can this be explained?well either they never did that or it was broken,either is pretty bad and a slap in the face.

interesting theory about the ps3/360.i duno bout that the psn network has been up and running for awile with no hickups so far.im more believing that they just lied and never sent it in,then atari said that they wernt paying for it,then fired everybody.i would assume that to release a free dlc costs money paid to m$.it would be a good reason for them not to do it if they were as cheap as i think they are.

Thing is though, the Exploration Pack enables further (down the line) micro transactions that can rack up a lot of profit, surely Atari aren't stupid enough to cut the head off a goose that [Mod Removed] golden eggs?

I still have this game for the 360 but haven't played it in awhile.  I bought it cheap for PC awhile back (I got it on sale from direct 2 drive for 10 bucks) and played through it again.  The PC version is alot smoother than the 360 version (because of that, even the license tests are much easier).  

The exploration pack isn't very special.  In fact, you could probably burn through all the new missions in a day or less whcih is rather unacceptable for how long we waited for it.  You get to drive alot of cars that you cannot purchase in the game (the Corvette ZR-1 comes to mind).  

Anyway. this is the last Atari/Eden title I will ever purchase.  So much potential yet too many lies from the devs and glitches that will never be fixed (how long has it been since anyone could play roulette?  A ten dollar addon that has rarely worked properly).  I am still a very dissatisfied customer and I think anyone else that preordered this unfinished piece of garbage should be dissatisfied too.  Goodbye Atari and Eden!  I rate this game with two fingers up!

Well I have pretty much shelved TDU 2 for now, since I've been playing a lot of Crysis 2 and am getting LA Noire tomorrow. I haven't even completed the game actually, I still need a few championships on Hawaii. Don't get me wrong, the game is fun, but it just gets a little bit boring in the length. But if this free DLC ever gets out, I will probably return to it and play it a little bit more. But for now, Crysis 2 and LA Noire, here I come.

I just looked at the forum archives and it was 2 months ago today, the free DLC was posted/announced. 

i almost bought another atari game yesterday,on the arcade.i was looking at it checking out the screenshots,checking to see if there was a demo,lol atari so nope.then realized it was published by atari,so that means bad news.saved myself 10 bucks lol.

theres just a few devs on my blist atari of course,i also include codemasters in there as well.im sure alot of you like codemasters,its just my personal opinion,they make ok games i just dont like them or thier games.o ya i dont like activision either,im trying to not buy thier games,but with the hype its sometimes hard.

There have been a couple of vague updates on the Atari Twitter and Facebook pages in the past few days.

Whoever is responsible for updating them - until the DLC is out we'll assume this person to be the janitor 'Fraping' and 'Twattering' at GMDestra's desk - has been answering questions like:

"WTF Atari?" (it's actually a question)

Apparently it is 'still being worked on' and should be out 'soon'.

Let's hope the janitor, or the kids who broke into the now derelict Eden offices aren't trying to pull our collective leg.

i heard about some cool games at e3 made by 5 people.its never the size its the quality :p

well the janitor better get off his duff and get on it then.cuz game was broken,and if i recall,,,,,,,,,didnt work for along time,,and some stuff still doesnt work as advertised.it seems the beancounters have decided to cut and run sokay...atari kinda sucked when i was a kid.games like et killed my generations games.i wont think any less of you i suppose,a dirty lying snake has nowhere to go but down.

Hi guys I see some of you still come here to discuss TDU2, I like to check back from time to time.  Unfortunately the game was dead to me months ago and I have since completed LA Noire, Currently playing Child of Eden, and have been playing Zelda on the 3DS.  There are some massive games coming out for the 360 between now and christmas so I guess I may never come back to it.  Its a big shame as it feels like the game was just abandoned by the devs.

I may come back again if there is a sudden u-turn in support for this game, but as of now its on my list to be exchanged for one of the many new games on the way.

There was actually a Dev post on the official TDU2 forum recently. It did however relate to the PC version, but it suggests that Atari do actually employ a few people and that the game hasn't been completely forgotten about.

This will be the biggest game flop of of this year with duke nukem forever following closely behind.....

Oh yea, I've haven't totally given up on the game, it had the potential to be a great game by far but we all know how that goes. For the DLC, not holding my breath. I've still been having some (a tiny bit) of fun with the game. Hit me up if you want to cruise.

I agree with all of the above. The game could be amazing, if actually worked. I´ve never seen an online game with so many things not working at the same time, or glitched. Surely we faced a title or two with some features with glitches or not working but in this case even some of the main components are not. I purchased the Casino DLC and I was not able to play it for once. I feel cheated

Hey guys, not sure if your aware (if your not on the TDU2 Official Forums) but an Atari Employee has confirmed that the DLC is still on its way....but.....still without a date...so not much good news....but some is better than none i belive!
