Custom skins?

I created a world where anyone could join and I noticed several with custom character skins like the PC version.  How do I go about doing this?

If that's true it's news to me... there's definitely no tool on 360 for creating custom skins yet. It's possible that those players are devs or journalists or even maybe some codes for downloadable skins have been given out (the option for downloadable content in the menu suggests we'll see these available at some point)

But right now there's no way for you to make your own skin or download others for the 360 version.

I was really REALLY hoping that at some point you'll be able to use your own avatar in the game. That would be awesome!

That's not a bad idea, but it would detract from the blocky aesthetic I think

Nice to have the choice for those who want it, nothing forced and purely optional :)

There are diff. Skins In the game so everyone doesn't look alike, I've seen tennis Steve and tuxedo Steve.

it prolly automatically randomly assigns different skins in MP sessions.

It seems to me that it depends on the order that players join the hosted game.

It depends on what player you are.

Each player gets a random skin usually by the order they join the server with the Server host being the default skin. Custom skins for yourself and others will be added later.

you have to change your skin on the pc. log into your mincraft account  change your skin, a couple of hours later i had the skin on the xbox. hope this helped

how did you connect you xbox profile to your minecraft account?

There's no option to link your gamertag to your profile on PC right now. Don't know if there will be, either.

Unless he provides proof, I highly doubt it. There is no option to link your account to your gamertag on Minecraft's site as of this moment from what I can tell.

If you play multiplayer minecraft, they make each player have a different skin, so you can tell eachother apart if you make the setting so there is no gamer tag display.

i think i know what yanos did. If yanos' gamertag and minecraft.net account are the EXACT SAME name, then that is how he did it. If this is not correct yanos please telll me. Oh if i still had my other account...

^^ What does it matter if his 2 accounts have the same user name?  They'd still have to link them together somehow, which, at this point is impossible.  Basically, Yanos lied.  There is no way to have your MC PC skin the same as your xbox MC skin, unless they are part of the default skin pack, the summer of arcade skin pack, or skin pack 1.

My feeling on the issue is as follows.  If that could be done, there would be a video on YouTube about it.  There are 5,382,281,120 videos on YouTube about Minecraft.  If that can be done, post a link to a video on it.  Otherwise, it simply can't be done.

They were only available during the summer.
