I did the update now i cant sign on does anyone know whats going on and or how long the Xbox will be down

i had to change my network config to manual and set up the ip address manually
my problen is every time i launch a game . I get disconnected from LIVE . I ran a test on LIVE connection and it say service alert. I went to www.xbox.com/servicealerts but get a plank page

This is killing me. And the service alert page is useless.

well i dont know if they fixed it or not but mine just randomly got fixed because i just tried to keep signing in

guys, there's another update, test connection now
Same here... Says "Service Alert" on my test xbox live connection screen but the xbox.com/servicealerts and /support pages won't open. Suspect they are maxed out with customers with similar issues.
Guess will try some of the campaign mode on MW3.

xboxsupport twitter has gone silent so i think their trying to get on top of it . I just restarted my consoled and it logged in to LIVE
