"I'm going to hack your account."

So today I was playing Black Ops and some random guy, who was presumably mad that I beat him, sent a voice message saying he was going to "hack my account" after a number of profanities.

Now, whilst I know this is likely just a blind threat, isn't there any action that can be taken against these people? Surely claiming you're going to hack someone's XBL account is a bannable offense?

I know I should just hit the "file complaint" button and move on (which honestly doesn't work, because I've reported people using aimbot on Halo 3 before and they still aren't banned), but if this guy were to be an actual hacker... what good would filing a complaint do? That isn't going to get the person back their account, is it?

Any action that can be taken against these people?

He's not going to hack you, hence he cannot. He can only phish you, which is him tempting you to give him personal/important information. You need to file a complaint in the category of Voice Message, block communications and avoid the player.

Filing a complaint does a lot, all complaints are reviewed thoroughly and if correct and appropriate, the complaint is taken to the XBLPET to suspend the user.
