Can't connect to Xbox Live Party

I'm having the same problem, this has been happening for about a week now. I've checked the connection and there is no NAT error. I have however been able to join some peoples parties and games, but i can't for most.

Hey there Jaleum! Even if you aren't getting a NAT error, you should still double check your NAT setting to ensure it's set properly. Let us know, thanks!

there is no NAT errors at all yet i can't join my friends party... there needs to be a fix to this

I'm having the same issue. There are no issues with my Xbox live connection, I have my Xbox connected directly into my modem and I restored the factory default network settings and I still cannot join a party or a game. This has been going on for a few days now...

Hey there Rice! Are you unable to join all Xbox LIVE parties, or just with certain people. Be sure to have your friends also check out our Communication (forums.xbox.com/.../19135.aspx) and NAT (forums.xbox.com/.../34069.aspx) guides to ensure they're all on the same page too. Thanks!

Oh well, I knew there was nothing wrong with my internet connection as my settings have not been mess with. 

I have the topic creator's problem. Please don't ask me to check my NAT type. I have had Xbox Live for years with an identical network setup and have never had this problem. Even so, I have followed the posted guides... only to meet frustration.  Frustration enhanced by support agents telling me to double-check my NAT type.

Either the Xbox is lying, or the service I've paid for is faulty.

I also have this problem.  With some people I can party up with no problem others its no end of 'cant connect to party' and broken chat and disconnects. Both checked nat settings. Both have set our router to completely open our xbox to the world and still doesnt work. I have about 3 friends I get this with and alot of others I dont so I have no idea what to do next.

I can't connect either.

I think the xbox servers got affected by the Y2K12 bug.

I'm having the same problem with only two my friends. I can connect and talk to most of them easily, but so far 2 of my friends cannot connect with me unless there is someone else in the chat. My NAT is open, all ports opened, etc. I've checked one of my friend's network settings as well, and he is set up properly. This is getting extremely irritating, as I cannot play with him. This is apparently a widespread problem and should be address with something more than "Check your NAT" over and over again.

I'm having similar problems, but slightly different. My girlfriend just go an Xbox after my constant nagging, however, I can't connect to her in a party. I have had moderate NAT problems for as long as I can remember, but it's never proven  to be a bother until now. Now she has NAT issues. And as far as I know, she is my only friend with NAT issues. if one of us could fix our NAT issue, would we be able to maybe connect? Or would both need to be fixed? Cause I have never had a problem until now. Oh, and her brother has an Xbox on the same network, I'm pretty sure his NAT is open.... I'm probably wrong though. Help please :/

I FEEL your pain.

This problem is getting worse and worse and Xboxlive needs to do some massive online connection repairs.

Not being able to connect with one or more of my people that I've been playing with for months on end just suddenly stop¿ THIS IS A MASSIVE PROBLEM XBOX LIVE, don't you see? You have to do something.. And yes, I've opened my NAT and there's is open too. Seriously just want to cry in fustration. DO SOMETHING.
